+1 for most of the ideas.
From first post to fix in 10h, pretty good for an indie dev
and some shield hardners i think.
Cool, nice to hear that. Yeah sloppy code always bites you back somewhere else.
The graph is off the charts!
The problem is not the resolution of the map (it's needed to be so high for all the details on the map) but the fact the process doesn't cease when you close the map.
Yeah true if we are only taking about a single synchro. But why make something so simple, more complex?
If we take credit in anything, is in that we stood at your level combat-vise till the *incident* created by a single individual who wanted to be next to God and create stuff from thin air.
Biggest corps that are still here, are only because they had to go great lengths to stay in the arms race. The less persistent ones quit. This is what formed the current ways of playing the game, not the things that were coded into the game. If you are going to whine that it's so unfair - then yeah it isn't, but it wasn't any of the corps that started, but a single person who didn't love the game, he loved to overpower people in any means possible. I think it was a game mechanic too in some way
It's bad for you maybe. If mining will be so risk free and almost work free, why not just get the robots from NPC sell orders? It's going to be connected with NIC anyway.
+1 to what Neoxx said, wanted to post exactly the same points.
+1 is very annoying if you have to close the map. (let me scan here... oh wait was that an observer *closes maps quickly and poo-poos brickz*)
We are not mining, we use your storages for materials, didn't notice that did you?
/edit we took your jowwwbs, are going to quit now? Can I haz ur stuff?
Still very no for fits on killboard. If you want intel, gather it yourself.
Possible if you make a single run CT with those minimal resource needs and 5 minute build time?
It's not really a bug, more like a mechanic to decrease the traffic between the server and the client. Working as intended.
Making the data consoles drop only for the one with the missions will make farming rep for industrials impossible
The EP is counted in 2 spots. One is the internal server clock, the other (the EP you see) is you computer.
If your computer gets at 14:48:50 that your EP is 10, it will wait one minute and change the counter to 11.
In the mean time the server counts EP every whole minute so at it will have different numbers than you. Sometimes when you are waiting for that one point that you think you have, the server still need to cycle the EP.
I want just to defend my post. I am not telling you that the corps are elitits, and the only way for a new corp is to be feed by the old one.
NO
The market is dead because OLD corps went beyond the market and are feeding themselves. We didn't have people TO POPULATE the market. Now we do. Production takes a bit mkay?
5 months ago the market was in better shape because everyone was trying to make profit of it. This trend is starting again. Can lifetime is not going to speed up this process.
As for making mining better, the problem atm is everyone is not educated in what to mine and where. Make more mining assignments pointing to random spots to scan and or mine, not only to same one every time.
Every internet game has ways to give the illusion that there is no lag, so there is a movement prediction done on every bot you see around. The walking in walls thing is exactly that, not sure about the jumping bot But yes, the latter is connected with the follower going faster.
+1 with reordering weapons.
You can do that with leg slots and head slots (in station, but still), why not with weapons?
We trust you guys, we only want to help you so we can have more uninterrupted fun
/edit is the memory tracker running out of memory...?
I fail to see why is it so different for everyone. If it's the landmasses between teleports, then why if we all go on a roam there are some people that crash and some that don't? We travel the same distance, the amount of time spend in the game could be different. Could this be more related with not the memory used, but how it is used? The client could try to replace some information in the memory, before he can do it(information still being used on the "old" teleport location) the client tries to insert "new" teleport location, there is no error catch and the client crashes.
All this is guessing... but tossing ideas around can help.
When you say that you can be trusted you get the opposite reaction.
Oh and before you try it, doing the opposite is still not getting you good rep mr. CCP
Do you have a in-client tracker connected with memory use?
3) Very handy; can always be swapped after a misfire. I'd much rather shoot something than nothing. Learn to not screw up if you're RR-fit. Options to prioritize by range or hostile-only would be gravy.
Unless you are having someone on remote sensor amping and start shooting him. I would rather change to primary (think) than misfire at a friendly (habit).
This is yet ANOTHER topic to automate the *** out of this game.
