The things you have to look at are:
Are you going to use the faction ammo from mission rewards?
Are you going to be on this color island to use the bonuses from reputation?
Is your corp going to use these islands, so you can finish missions from beta
Is your bot going to have an easy time killing npc (PVE missions)

The DEV's and GM's know what to do. The moment they seen that there is something happening outside their game (quite possibly thanks to a post of a community member, sorry forgot your name) did everything to accommodate the new players. That shown that they want the game to succeed, no matter if is it for economical reasons or other, and at the same time be human enough in everything they do. They will not please everyone, sometimes they won't please even the majority of the players, but they will do what they think is right. When an issue is raised, it will be taken care of in one way or another. The limited resources they have only made things go slower and not at a lower quality. I hope they are going to get a test server soon from the (I hope) influx of money from new subs.
Big kudos to everyone involved in creating perpetuum the way it is today and kudos for everyone from EVE being patient and not ragequiting the second there are some problems, hope you are here to stay.
My last shout out is to everyone helping the new people in ways of sharing experience, NIC, bots, mods and other ways I can't think of right now. Even if some of you think that CIR is trying to zerg it out by buying loyalty or that the lolpirates are making a push for new members and their little lolplans. That doesn't matter. It only shows that the game can be played in more that one, valid way.
All the spots are kinda random, some have little things that stick like stermonite being close to hills. The area scans+ tile scans are the best way to go imho.
Just don't have everything on an account which is someone's only account. Sometime people leave the corp and you are left with nothing (or it get's deleted "because x gave me the account to do everything I want with it")

Is it possible for you guys to edit the wiki.org article also? Looks like you have a hang of it already and the more people work on that, the more you can see in game (or I hope at least).

There is a free look mode, I dont know where I am too used to playing this way 
Most of the time if they kill something, they will lose the loot on the way out, or at least part of it.
You can run missions for all of the corporations, at first you get a more than you lose from other corps, after some time you are going to get lik 0.02 and lose 0.01 on the others. So it's possible to have all corps high, but hard and would prolly take more than you need to get all skills at 10

T4 items also drop from mobs and I see it quite often but mostly from the bots in beta
So how do you want the unskilled targets to get skilled? By killing NPC? And the rush for PVP is already strong in the young ones, just look at the arkhe floods! Even if someone is looking for a new place, CIR has only 6 slots left and we won't increase the cap
