Man, you guys cry like girls when Ewar nerf gets brought up... Afraid you cant hang if Ewar is actually balanced? The problem isn't about your side vs our side. We all have 5 accts, and at least one is an ewar acct. We all have follows. Its about the guy with one dps acct who has no available counter against a vaga mk2 or similar bot.

Wheres the pastebin data on your "trails" and where is the raw data for overpowered ewar? Please provide your data burrial we did the math it would be about 10 hours of testing I would like to see the combat log from that.

Eve has similar mechanics and there are no problems in eve its again a population problem. With a healthy population you will get the people that have no problem driving to fights to be the medic or booster.

You're just proved my point. Future wars will be says 20v20, where on each side 18 are ewars and rest 2 are actual dd.

A solo vaga or solo zenith will die to 2 or more mechs.
But a vaga and a kain will kill 3 kains and not have any issues.

Vaga deals with 2-3 bots. To counter E-war with numbers we need about 3-4x advantage. ECCM cuts that says in half so still we need 2 combats on each your ewar. But hey, it's way to easier to get in ewars too, turning this game in Ewar Online completely.
yep and when you switch to e-wars we will change our tactics as well see.... its a tactics thing

It's really easy to speculate on who does what and claim it causes imbalance. But where is the real data that proves multi-account players using follow bots are winning a lot more in PvP ?
The "follow by approach" function is a really nice feature of this game that I happen like a lot, to be subjective about it.
I voted to keep the mechanic because I have seen no objective data proving it's a game breaker, and for the subjective reason that I like it and use it. Without objective data, this sounds like fixing something that is not broken based upon subjective cries to nerf P2W. Prove there is a problem BEFORE finding a solution.

ECCM doesn't help much. And I hardly doubt this game was intended as "whos ewar fleet bigger".
Game wasn't intended to be ERP heavys/tyranos mk2 online but you wouldn't know it when you run in to a sap defence on a green island.

This game is EW online and has been from the time people actually got their EW skills close to maxed and tuners were released.
Where is EW defence? ECCM is crap.
Good for you, you really should be getting 60/60 on a vaga mk2 vs mk1 heavy w/ no eccm. Look at the bonus for mk2 vaga. That should explain why your getting 60/60. The game is not heavy mech online it perpetuum. No one is telling you to stomp a heavy mech around. Your problem is your fleets are countered and you cant counter ours cry more.

There are plenty of actual uses for follow, such as not having to stop a roam while 1 person goes AFK.
Perhaps its a situation where the mechanics don't allow 'follow' and 'lock' the same bot.
Easy work around I follow gunner and lock khader. He follows Khader and locks gunner. whhhhoooooo battle buddies.

please spend time on more pressing issues! The same thing is possible in eve with approach and its easily countered in pvp by kiting the enemy in to crappy terrain or buy e-war. Having a follow bot is also a liability as well cause if your in a running situation you have to watch terrain/speed and lock of that bot as well. One well timed ecm and suppressor cycle followed by a good attack can ruin a persons follow bot. In essence you can literally only do one thing on one screen unless your using multiboxing/client software which is forbidden as far as I can remember.

Khad, I'd like to see this also, but the game needs NIC sinks too.
300k per TP isn't that expensive, but over time it does turn into a very large NIC sink in the game, as well as cans ect.
If we can think of a sink to replace NPC orders, we'll have a better arguement for changing them to player made.
Well the big nic sink will be interzone TPs once the expansion comes as traveling will be utterly a chore

in my opinion the -%range bonus from the suppressor tuning should just be removed. and the ECM tuning bonus should be changed for something else. maybee a cycle time reduction on ecm for exemple.
Ok now I can agree with you that sounds like a reasonable proposition and would bring back balance.

+1 for an aoe dampening leg mod.
Graphicaly change the Evasive mod alittle.... Bam theres your mod itself
T4 reduces received Aoe damage by 40%, reduce Top speed a bit and is a unique item. Stack that with close range dual plated Kain and you have a uber gate camping machine. Probably would cause Imba imo but why not give us more goodies to try.

Based off of your suggestions I think there should be another few more EP trees under the production side... 1 for each faction that lowers the material ratio and time efficiency for faction specific items ie.
[xFaction production specialization]-each level of this extentions grants bonuses to lowered mat ratio and production time for xFaction light and assault bots and (x faction) small guns and a few other mods like a specific hardner and ERP
[Advanced xFaction production specialization]-each level of this extentions grants bonuses to lowered mat ratio and production time for xFaction lMECH and H MECH and MED (xfaction) guns and a few other mods like a specific hardner and ERP
This would effectivly give the older toons a specialty and really old toon will have cross trained all, Or become a master x faction producer for their corp.
Numq would have all numq bots and em guns, em ammo and a certain resist.
Thel would have all thel bots, lasers, energy cells, and a certain resist.
Pel would have all pel bots, launchers, missiles , and a certain resist.
Indy would have all indy bots, indy mods, Miner charges, the last resist.
you could incorprate a few more extentions along this line to include E-wars items and Engineering items. Just a thought I know true indy folks would like these ideas.

Bottom line before farming if your a penny pincher or a maximum effective freak.
Before Farm
Scout your possible spawns. (use a chasis scanner)
Don't farm above your skill
Check terrain for best advantage.(should be a no brainer)
match your resists to your enemys damage
bring proper damage for enemys resist
counter enemy e-war if possible (plates for Dmobs?)
Find Npcs "rubberband" point and scout a good spot for a can (LOS issues?)
During Farm
only fire enough ammo to kill (no over kills or wasted ammo)
reload each gun on its own ie. 25rnds per gun reload 1st after 5 shots 2nd after 10 and so on
Have secondarys locked at all times so target switching is seemless
try and kite a few npcs towards your can when making the goodie dump
know your effective range and keep enemy in it as much as possible
Don't go over board on it but if your seriously thinking in terms of maximum effectiveness time and nic those tips should help you farm any thing you want to farm
