Speaking of EWAR, we know at least a dozen good counters to it just in case you guys start actually taking it seriously.

Ill be damned if I teach you any before that though.

Your team doesnt train ewar.  Not the way we do, at least.

Would you just have your mesmser skills to just 6 or 7? nope

Would you just train your critical hit nexus to 5?  nope

and if you answered yes, again, you are doing it wrong

People spec into combat just like people spec into Ewar. Specing into a bot is usual practice in Perpetuum and boasting about it is pointless. Nothing makes EW different from other bots and there's no reason people specced into it should be in overpowered bots with overpowered mechanics.

EW was fine 2-3 years ago when people had way less EP and there were no tuners. Things have changed and we need other tools than ECCM. These tools should have been added with the introduction of tuners but were not.

I'm not trying to nerf Ewar to hell. I just want a proper tool to mitigate even some of it that does not consume 3 head slots. I don't want it to be invulnerability either. I like playing my Vagabond just like I like playing my Kain and Mesmer. I'm well aware that there should be a drawback with that module.

This post is not a self-serving post of trying to field "min-max ERP heavies". It's just the fact that people are forced to go and subscribe additional accounts/use trials to be of any use on the field.

Try competently flying a mech ewar, then get back to me.

We make it look easy, but it is very complex and if you dont think so, you are doing it wrong.

You guys want to play chess with 16 Queens. This game doesnt work that way.

Also, try using an ECCM once in a while.    lol

Now watch the hands. 6 jammers with 50% hit chance - in most cases 3 of them will work. That makes you losing the lock each 3,33 seconds so even with 2x SA and locking time you'll be simply unable to lock and perform a shoot without any risk to smach your keyboard.

And that we didn't even took sensor supressors into the calculation.

yes and now ur soacking up all the ecm of 1 vagabond whit 6 ecm witch makes the rest of ur fleet untuched get it?
even fitting 6 on a vaga is unrealistic.

6 mods vs 1...... still dont get it?

You're telling that as if you're fitting just 1 ECM per vaga and throw just 1 jam per target at all. What's the difference - 2 vagas 3x ECM each jamming one bot, or one 6x? Or maybe you think we don't understand why 3/4 of your fleet are going ewar?

Simple answer. Easy mode.

That is fine, at least they are using an existing in-game mechanic to get away.

i guess what everyone is kinda forgetting is any mining party, and most combat situations where someone wants to escape, if they are faced with even a 5 minute minimum log off time, they will simply drop an armoured the instant a masked demobber completes the lock. So for a single target, you only have 3 minutes, and lets say for a party of 3 the last guy will be gone at 4:30.

This is the reality right now.  For the last 3 years you have had to kill someone either before his timer ran out or before his tele charged. ALL SIDES DO THIS.

No matter what, I agree that logoffski should NOT be a viable escape from combat. If 5 is too short, make it 10.
I like 5 since its the same time as the PvP flag, but I don't care what its set at as long as its not indefinite. I won't be using logoffski to avoid combat.  The only time it should occur is an unintentional crash or disco, which unfortunately happens enough in this game. Even then, there is nothing stopping a player relogging in right away usually.

And a logoff trap is completely different and an excellent and valid tactic.

In other games, which we will not mention names, we ask in coms if it is safe Login at xyz location or safe to undock at abc location.

Do you guys communicate in any way?

Lately, many people have died exiting Gamma terminals due to the black screen.  If enemy is present, you die BEFORE you appear on terrain!  You don't have a chance to defend.  You're dead before you get a chance to click on a mod.  HOW FAIR IS THIS???

I watch them undock, they break their stability and die.

If you ask me, dont break your stability at a R*peCage station, ever.

Burial undocked a bunch of times and is alive and well.

I agree, great post Rage.

It is refreshing to see a post wihtout any of the bile, rage, bitterness that has been appearing in these forums lately. A lot of the stuff in the forums lately has been nasty and unnecessary. It does not present a very nice community to any potential new players, and the type of community is a factor for a lot of people when evaluating a new game.

We want new players to come and play perp right guys? We need to put aside old grievances and show new players (when they come) that perp is a great game. We can still have a dig at each other and a bit of trash talk, but do it with a smile and a bit of humour.

Here in AU and NZ we have made an art form out of taking the piss out of each other, and having a laugh at the same time.

anyway, just some thoughts and again, great post Rage..

We will always have Nexus and RSA because we work as a team.

We communicate.

We plan.

We are always together doing pve or pvp or whatever.

That is what they are meant to do at max skills.  Max skills Seth mk2 shoots at long *** range...  Gropho MK2 can shoot at 1100+,    Zenith counters these    --      All end game stuff         --    shrug

Hunter can have a friend RSA him, that is what we do.

Do you guys even work together?  Teamwork?

You guys are outclassed

I think you are just trolling at this point.

Those are the guys who say EW is not overpowered. You can't even comprehent a simple picture.

These are the guys who don't know how EW works. When someone supresses or demobs you, you see the icon under your robot status - something you don't see with ECM.

Evidently you also have no clue how interference emitters work. We were shooting them at you for hours before you cottoned on and tried launching some back at us.

"Considerably Better Then You"

Okai, let me explain this picture to you. Hunter has opened his own Zenith MK2 info screen up when the suppressors were present. When the picture actually got taken, the suppressors did not apply but the info screen still shows the suppressed values.

Zenith MK2 is not Gunner. You can't see other peoples stats like that and you also don't need to have suppressors running at the moment of doing the picture when you open info screen.

What Hunter is trying to point out is that while double-amped, a suppressor is able to completely jack him up at extreme ranges.

If Inda in his Mesmer Mk2 can tank 6 of us with no problems, something is wrong.

or - did he just work up to that over three years ....      ;P

End game strength increases for players who are maxed with current skills.

Level 9 complexity - 1% per level ewar strength

Level 9 complexity - 1% per level range increase Ewar and Locking range

very expensive

Setting aside the political discussions/bugs/differences, I just want to say something.

This past week+ has been the most interesting, dynamic, exciting PvP experiences I have seen in a long time in any game.  (including 10 years of EVE pvp)

At first, I thought Gamma seemed meh. I was very wrong.

Dev Zoom,

You have something very unique here and I think if more people get involved in it, Perp can put itself on the map.

Cheers

Yep, a lot of the 45 pages is repeated, but that's because the opposing side kept trying to deflect the discussion away from the core issue of force projection, because they couldn't make a reasonable arguement against it.

Take a moment to line up your ducks, and make an argument why there should be compensation for consequnces of Developer introduced bugs.

Although, I tried this last time I was personally involved in a bug that resulted in CIR losing assets due to a bug, and was basically told sh*t happens.

Deflecting? Hellm re-read them all. It's like:

Their side: nerf the spt
Our side: why at all?
Their side: nerf the spt
Our side: ok how about this and that and that - should works
Their side: nerf the spt
Our side: well maybe then this this and that or
Their side: nerf the spt
Their side: nerf spt the
Their side: spt nerf the
Their side: nerf
Their side: the
Their side: spt

and so on and so on. Here goes the same btw, and every other thread that doesn't suits them.

I have no idea what he did. All I know is that those who actually crashed have gotten reimbusements and it's easy enough to spot the difference by Zoom.

Nothing you ask to have changed will ever offer you an advantage because you are simply not good at PvP.

Your leaders think one dimensionally and your players dont understand the dynamics of the game and pvp in general.

There are a dozen ways to counter support bots and ewars, you just dont care to do anything other than press spacebar.

If we are playing, you will never win.  You only defeat ghost towns where there is no opponent.

If you  guys had the most remote idea of how to play this game or do ewar or do support, you would stop losing.
