I don't forsee this patch changing much, or enough. It's a good idea in theory, however I think instead of implementing this they should wait and start coding some POS and two super huge large islands that ONLY allow POS to be built as there are no stations. That would be neat. Oh well we'll see what it brings I suppose.
Oh god i hate to do this but .... i agree with you & you hit the nail on the head. If the devs did this i think ide jizz my pants.

You say it doesn't provide content, and I refute that by saying that I'll be logging in when intrusion 2.0 is published. I forsee anger and much gnashing of teeth. I enjoy reading about internet robot (spaceship) drama.
And i will do the same, but intrusion 2.0 is hardly in of its self the content this game needs to start growing again.
Dont get me wrong it will help. But we play a "sand box" game that lacks a sizable amount of sand. Im sure more is on the way but the time it takes to get here does concern me a little.

Simple fact is that Perpetuum is in decline. There is not enough content being added and people are not renewing their subs. That is not to say there is no potential, it just needs to be utilized so people feel like they have a reason to log in.
Oh agreed 100% we need the content that will allow us to shape the word to our will & allow us to build our own little empires. the DEVs have had a year now. But i doubt they will get another if we dont get more soon... & intrusion 2.0 doesnt count as im going to bet it will provide little more "content" to the game.

Keep the old system but add an Advanced Security option meaning that you can set each folders access rights and even create groups and assign folders to those groups.
Also the transaction logging system needs to log which FOLDER an items from taken from and put into with the option of filtering searches by specific folders.
if anything being able to set access on an individual basis would be ok.

I like the idea of overloading but I'd rather it be a "Death" thing. If you're going down and know you're about to die you can activate overload which gives you a load of AP but shortly after makes you take damage over time (If you're not already dead).
A good counter neuting and if you've got RR support you'll survive while getting a single one time burst of AP (Recharged when docked)

LOL hehehe ive had the "pleasure" of running into 1 of your roams a while back... we had a GF for the whole 1 min our light bot roam lasted to your mechs
That being said i cant blame an enemy that chooses not to engage in battle with an enemy that might way out number them.
However i hope the pick up in activity over the last week can last a bit its nice seeing some action going on in game by all sides
