Perhaps you read my post too quickly, because there's no where in there that _I'm_ telling anyone to stfu.

I'm pleased to hear that your making money on the open market, that's terrific. I also don't say that you can't make money, or I guess I wouldn't be able to keep it up for 6 mo.

However, there's no 'easy' NIC to be had. Moving your goods around and keeping up market sell orders is hard work, as well as gathreing mats for 20 lines.

10M/day is btw, not a killing.

If anyone, you should reread Obi's post, inferring that indy is easy and if were not making a killing it's because we are doing it wrong and should quit complaining.

I actually didnt say that you had said to the indy community to stfu, yet again a miss read.

Also nowhere did i state i engaged in market trading. its not my thing other than selling ore i mine that my corp doesnt buy.

Indy in this game IS HARD or at least time consuming. and your right 10mill/day isnt a killing but i do know of market traders that make MUCH more each day.  a smart indy guy will know where the cash is to be made smile

Really? When 50% of the player base isn't using the market, the other 45% are in self-suffcient corps, leaving 5% to make a killing on.

No. We'll keep putting items into the open market like we have been for 6 months, and sell them to those willing to buy them, but read the *** thread before you go spewing crap telling indy corps to "L2P" and "stfu".

um... ok first off: apparently you might have reading issues so ill say this in DA BESTIST engrish i can.

1. You assume i havnt read this thread. remember what assume stands for?
2. your assumption that 95% of the player base dont use the market is flat out wrong.
3. I Never told the collective player base that is indy to as you so eloquently said ..

"L2P" and "stfu".

what i did say is crying about **** never gets things fixed.
4. If pointing out the bleeding obvious that the market is ripe for more indy based corps to make a profit thus seeding more items onto the market thus creating competition thus bring prices down is in any way spewing crap. well then what can i say....

Join a good corp, jump into a light-ewar and off you go into the sunset, PVP 24/7 as they're dirt-cheap to massproduce by the hundreds.

Agreed joining a corp is always a lot of help just to pick up some tips & tricks if anything

the mistake people make when comparing perptuum to eve is..... time. eve is what 8 years old now of course its got more depth. These things will come to perpetuum in time.
Give this game a few years & maybe a few more devs & what it will be able to offer a player will be far greater.

I think this feature's intent has been achieved and every corporation on the server has a completed tech tree & reasonable stockpile of observer kernels, could you fix it now please? It's a bit annoying.

GM Blaster continues to prove they're paid hire that doesn't play the game.
I think I preferred it when GMs played the game and broke rules because at least they knew how to play the game.

Srsly though. Train the GM how the game works but don't let them play. Best of both worlds.

GMs that play the game are the best GMs.

Also back on topic. i have seen some NPCs spawned by artifact scanning stay tagged for 30mins.

Reproducing this has been a little harder coz well.... no 1 wants to wait 30mins to kill an observer tongue

well ok look at this way. my corp NEX has now many builders & producers. the demand for higher tier items is VERY high just in our corp. Now when we have over stocked some items they do get put on the market. i suspect this is common for all corps in game. some corps im sure ban out right selling high tire items on the open market but those like NEX who are happy to sell on the open are having trouble just meeting the demands of our own corp let alone the those out side of our corp.
This is why it is taking so long for higher tire items to be available on the open market.
Demand is very high but the ability to fill that demand is lower than what you might think.  And this will not change untill perpetuum get alpha only indy corps whos main goal is to fill the market. And that will be hard untill more epi flows onto the market to meet demand.

another thing to keep in mind is the amount of time & money needed to build the high tire items is alot.

there are so many factors that go into the open market & whats available on it its not funny lol. Yes it is important to have the thriving economy. but its non to easy to do smile

as for taking away the closed corp market. it might solve a few things. but it will go back to the way the game used to be done.

@ all the new people in game that might not be in a corp or to those in small corps. Work on getting contacts with people that are builders they are there & many are happy to do trade (many builders i know hate using the market coz they dont like 0.01 nic wars tongue )

@ those who are in bigger corps. go ask your corp builders what they can do you might be surprised smile

I feel 1 way to get the market fixed is for this game to have more market traders. Who buy & sell not just in items they themselves build but who trade in a far wider array of items. i think professional traders might be what this game lacks. And with so many holes to be filled a nice profit to be made as well smile

new players here are very much of use in pvp.  lightbot + detector = perfect little scouts with out much skill needed. 1-2 weeks can be acceptable in an assault bot.

all i can say to new players it this: terrain terrain terrain! learn to use it & even when you fight mechs you can still win. or at the very least take a few down with you smile in perpetuum knowing how to best use your cover is key no matter what bot / mech you are useing. a T1 fit lightbot is still more than able to demob / scout.

Ep gaps can mean alot less here as real life skill & know how IMHO are more important than your "ingame skill points"

fixing the market will take time. as a player who has been here since closed beta & then when the game first went live the market has gotten much better. works is still needed & only time can fix it. but i do think it is moving forward.
