I'm of the opinion unfit arkhes should spawn everywhere but the modules for them should have free npc sell orders on the alphas only.

Still selectively recruiting.

All npc sell orders do is keep people from robbing their buyers. You can produce ammo at a LOT less than that, people just don't want to.

The only thing that makes sense is collision and true Los. I would hold off on collision causing damage and Los although stopping weapons should not initially cause them damage but it just makes sense.

If you add into this terraforming you would increase the skill element of choosing your ground and working as a team and unskilled megablobs and people sitting on saps would be counterproductive after certain numbers.

Not arguing on which is more important to fix.

It's old now really.

I find the Gallow glass view interesting. Odd to see where the anger has cone from as the only occupied outpost ever attacked by the alliance was m2s' who's stated aim was to own every station. The basis of the whole thing was simply to create a way for the islands to be occupied without people having to deal with getting camped all day like n-a had to. It was a reaction rather than an action. That was my basis for the ill advised idea to be able to shoot each other off island so we kept things interesting, an idea since dropped.

Sorry to hear we got it so wrong the corps we were trying to help felt it neccesarry to join the problem. It has to be said that the powerblock ideal has occupied the islands far more than they ever were.

that will only matter in a small gang though. In a 10 man up gang you just leave them down the whole fight till you are primaried as primary switching generally takes longer than 10 seconds. We used this to good effect in the assault on abbu in OB.

Just wanted to say that shields are still very overpowered and need fixing. I would change the bonus for hardeners to 30% 40% and 45% with 20% more fitting requirements for the higher tech.

As far as the ideas so far have gone, the trouble with them is the generally have proven not to work in other games. AOE weapons will not work but make people adapt to them is all. I can think of a few ways to do that before they are even introduced.

Even though it's a different game we are facing the same problem as eve. No disincentive to basically bring everyone you have to a fight. The ideas that have been floated here have generally been disproven in that game, AOE bieng the original Titan doomsday which actually increased the problem and locking stations down making people centralise around a smaller location.

You have to put a mechanic in place that cannot be tactically overcome. Ownership locking you out of station for instance would just encourage blobs. Your create a megacorp and then lock your opposition out through ownership.

I have previously mentioned collision damage and los including other robots but there were good reasons why this would not work.

In all honesty I truly think this is the number one issue that will result in success or failure of the game. If they do not learn from Eve they will be doomed to repeat them.

The devs are talking about making client stability their main priority but I'm gonna throw this out there and say that they need to stop doing that and switch their resources to fixing the mechanics that cause players to create instability.

Since closed beta I've been trying to get them to see that until they fix the "bring more people" mechanics of pvp whatever steps they make will simply be eroded by the playerbase.

Can we discuss the various ideas that would help reduce this?

The bade idea of registering for an intrusion is flawed anyways. There should be a requirement to hold three additional saps for a couple of hours before the station saps become active. There would be a 1 - 24 hour delay as to when the station saps would then become active.

You would then need to control an area in your timezone for an extended time before then attacking your enemy in their timezone. Basing it on money is dumb.

its a LOT easier to mine on the pvp islands due to a few things. All the outposts have spawns of everything, usually within 1500M. These spawns are big red juicy spawns and not the crap on alphas. Also its easier to refine due to the higher level facilities. All it takes is some alt scouts and your good to go.

oh yeah, how much, also should this be in services or something?

Fail gambit is fail

This is a fundamental point of outpost warfare they either didn't know about or didn't tell us. It makes this game for me worthless as the goals we aim for have no substance if you have no knowledge of the mechanics. Joke as an entity is going to WoW. We've had enough.

Which is funny because I like the tyrranos. Shows how balanced the game is.

Once you've had black you never go back.

You sound like someone JOKE may be interested in. Have a read of our recruitment thread and send me a mail if it sounds like you. Either way welcome and enjoy the game.

The Jokers are a PvP corporation with one fundamental goal. In order to be 100% PvP we must be 100% industry. We are a founding member of The Alliance and generally tend to be ahead of the curve in most aspects of the game. Our commitment to this has made us a force to be reckoned with in Beta and release.

Residents of the trade channel will know of our commitment to build a reasonable market, even at the expense of profit and this is something that guides us in all our actions. We are respectful of both friends and enemies and we are not the type of corp to shout at its members nor brag about our achievement, we live the corp motto: Talk softly, and carry a big stick.

In PvP itself our organization is on par with the best corps in the game with a gang ethos built around integration rather than "bring everyone". We strive to find new tactics and setups and test them to destruction and have operated successful gangs against all of the games notable PvP corporations.

The kind of player we are looking for is the someone who is active, respectful and is around to have fun as much as he is achieve something in game. We set lofty goals and work very hard to achieve them and keep up with the larger corporations despite our modest size. Preferably you would have two accounts or more one of which is either capable of using a termis or you are willing to train to this level.

Quite simply to achieve at the same level as our contemporariness we need to be better organised, better integrated with better logistics and better communication. This is our ultimate goal.

What we require:

Two accounts or more

High activity level

An understanding of English

Voice comms

A desire to achieve something, and the willingness to do whatever it takes to get there.

What you can expect:

A fair amount of mining to support endgame pvp at first. As we progress with industry this will move to 60% roaming pvp, 20% intrusion based events and 20% industry

A close nit corp full of people who work together in pvp gangs and production

A lot of multiboxing

Being asked to sacrifice small amounts of ep to be better integrated in the gang and our tactics

Collectivism, not communism.

What is in it for you:

Access to one of the best industrial bases in the game. Free bots, mechs and heavies.

The opportunity to operate with one of the games most powerful entities vs some of the games most powerful entities

Direction and leadership. We ALWAYS know what we are doing, what we need and where we are going.

An adult atmosphere. Our corp age runs from 29 - 61. We don't ***, shout or condescend. All we ask is you do what you can for the group when you can.

Send a mail to Jita and we'll arrange a convo if interested.

Why did headstart people get 40k starting EP in addition to being able to play the game 1 week earlier then everyone else?

Just heard about the game and I like it so far, but that headstart EP thing wtf...
Sure in 1 year nobody cares about it, but for now it's pretty stupid.

Eve like DEV corruption? Giving there alliance a headstart...

Knowledge from beta and 7 days headstart should have been more than enough.
Give everyone without an headstart account 20k additional EP imo.

To sum it up, headstart EP was stupid.

By that token anyone who starts a month after any time based games launch shouldn't play as they cant compete.

See how *** you are now?

they could create walking in stations. Or in PO case walking in the base back on earth. Its pretty important to do that as if they want female players they need full body avatars.

tbh yours and mahti are likely the only corps in the game that would need it but why not

Omg that just made my day awesome vid.

Boom motherfu@@er die motherfu@@er boom!

Was my favourite bit and shall now be adopted every time someone dies.

Lots of fun, well done.
