You are the worst Corp thief in the games history and a *** to boot. Making an alt on the eve forums to further highlight your idiocy is just the worst kind of special. Do yourself a favour  and respec to a different name and try and enjoy the game.

Merry Christmas everyone.

I suggested a while ago that the mission items that drop from rats should have an npc buy order, not the kernel.

The trouble with home bases isn't so much that people don't want to defend them but that they require you to alarm clock op your people potentially every couple of days. Unless your able to field guys across all timezones your pretty screwed so the mechanics require you to either get a hundred or so people in Corp or rely on allies. Twelve hours notice for intrusions makes you either apathetic or use spies. The more stations are worth the bigger the blobs will get.

1) revamped territory control will come in. It will suck because of lack of communication with key stakeholders.

2) at least two of the current megacorps will have large scale heists / spy drama. One will survive better (like ecorp did) one will not.

3) one of the major alliances will break up into civil war. A third alliance will form that takes hokk and over time ends up working with m2s. Much blob warfare will ensue only it will be fun for them now it is them doing it.

4) AXE will return and join old brosefs.

So what's to prevent throwaway alts bieng used even if the safe zones are removed?

It's worked out by the following formula:

(Mineral amount X material ratio)/(0.6 X production efficiency)

So for something that uses 1000 titan with a 60% ct and 100% production skills it would be exactly the same minerals.

(1000 X 0.60)/(0.6 X 1.00) = 1000

So with perfect build skills and better than 60% material ratio you always produce for less than base.

I think everyone is asking for exactly the opposite of what they want.

Surely if you don't like camping, making the choke point smaller (no safe region, just a teleporter land point) makes camping even more advantageous/"profitable".

What you should be asking for is larger safe zones, with complicated terrain-specific edges, so that the edge of the safe zone cannot be effectively camped, and the attackers can choose from several reasonable attack routes.

just....no.

the whole point is that you shouldn't be able to jump what you want in, take all the time you need, set up, and give yourself all the intel and advantage you need to move forward. You should also not be able to simply put eyes on a gate in an arkhe and leave it there to get 100% perfect, easy intel.

This will make it harder to attack not harder to defend. It's already harder to attack than defend and on that count I don't support even though I've nothing really against the proposals. Maybe I'm not clear on who it is that benefits from this.

You guys need to stop thinking this is some kind of "DEV Simon says" game. When I'm discussing things with you on the forums, think of me like just another player trying to make the game better.

Being a DEV doesn't mean at all that what I say is the ultimate truth and you all need to shut up. So please stop with that ooh how can a dev say this, he doesn't understand this game at all! *ragequit* (I think this is one of the reasons the other devs are not that active on the forums).
I am merely trying to think globally, and not just silently nod with acceptance on the first post of the loudest pvp'ers while the majority of the playerbase doesn't even look here.

Back on topic, I still think there is no "right" in this issue that would be fair for everyone. A middleground, perhaps.

People on any forums are like that. By responding to whine threads like this with in game changes that nobody really needs you encourage them. The fact nobody from the three alliances that do 90% of the pvp wanted it should have been a good indicator.

I am a pvp early access guy and I think it's a *** change about a penman that didnt exist.

The factory calculates it based on current material efficiency which declines each production run by a few percent. If you only have the exact minerals in you will always do one less programmed run than you planned for.

Depends on what your shooting with the mech really. You need hit dispersion at seven plus to make a Kain worthwhile vs assaults and vs lights don't bother. You should be shooting your weapon size vs your weapon size really.

Things that are broken with it:

Feature - Someone has to register to get a defence

Capturing an outpost resets your three needed defences
Feature - They forgot why but it's not changing

Using a pass is not considered a successful defence
Feature - Apparently as you're protecting you're not defending

Intrusion times don't move like they should. Initia for instance has had three at around 5 - 6 game time in a row.
Needs better randomisation

I've asked before and these are the answers I got back.

Which is funny as when I specifically asked on these points they said it was NOT a feature. My argument to them is everyone would just set up an alt corp and spend three mil per pass which would be stupid.

I've been telling you guys about this for nearly three months now and its getting a bit beyond the joke.

How the system should work:

Regardless of if an intrusion has been registered or not every three successful defenses you get an intrusion pass.

You can have a maximum amount of passes as you have outposts.

If you use a pass that is considered a successful defense.

If you successfully defend three times but capture another station before the successful third time you will end up with two passes.

By this token owning three stations that you successfully defend should make the fourth invulnerable

Intrusions are supposed to move timezones. Theoretically over three intrusions you should cover a different 8 hour slot wjhich moves for the next three

Things that are broken with it:

You don't get new passes when you successfully defend

Capturing an outpost resets your three needed defenses

Using a pass is not considered a successful defense

Intrusion times dont move like they should. Initia for instance has had three at around 5 - 6 game time in a row.

Quick thing - you should mention that you dont accept former Infestation alliance members
So people save time filling applications that they dont have to fill only to be told to gtfo afterwards smile

Thanks

I think you'll find thats the same with all worthwile corps tbh.

Free bump to a good corp.

Well if we are talking a fully fit intakt then it should be running at around 110. A tackling intakt probably twenty faster than that. I think they could perhaps afford to be ten to twenty slower.

I think they are good for pvp actually. Gives gang members roles and makes an organised gang able to catch an unorganised one.

Be interesting to know how many of the devs are working on features and how many on fixes / keeping the game in one piece.

You will find it interesting to note that all of the elements you want are in development. A total revamp of the radar with different signatures for different bots and mechs. The essential idea is using a dedicated bot with the correct nods you would be able to sneak under the edge of a heavier mechs radar without getting spotted and maintain contact.

Besides this game uses second and third monitors for your other account as it us so cheap.

I probably didn't mean it Alex ;-). Afaik Styx and another m2s live on the outskirts of Leeds and there should be more around.

I think you will find that on any island there are probably thirty people half of which are active. If it looks dead it's because it's well scouted.

I'd like to organise a uk meet. I live in Leeds but will travel anywhere reasonable. Would anyone else be up for this and if so where?

Think it's time to set up a skype group with this intention as the beta group seems to have got their splitting just right.
