I think we need daily doubles every week. Today ratting will drop you 2X kernels and plasma, next week it might be double efficiency on titanium mining etc. Easy to code and gives people a reason to log in. Also makes the game look full on once a week.

The funny thing is if you talked to someone in the help channel or even general you would know that the majority of what you just said is bullshit. I won't bother to change your mind as I think its more a problem or your willingness to learn rather than the games willingness to teach.
What a will say is that this game allows you to reach the top echelon very quickly even as a solo player. It just requires brains determination and some time.

Gamma, I can understand it's a different ball game. These are my main points why in gamma its not that much of a problem:
1. Beta has always been a roaming island and also the only pvp mission area.
2. There will be PBS in gamma so more defensive options are needed
3. There will be more options for your chosen PVP style if you don't like gamma you can always go to beta
4. Larger game world (hopefully) Id like to see at least 10-20 gamma and beta islands.
5. Gamma is something new, so can't really complain
This is hits btw but my point is when gamma comes into the game everyone who lives on beta will move to gamma. There will still be no pvp as betas will be empty in much the same way as low sec in eve. You dont fix the problem, you just move it to gamma and if anything make it worse as PBS will be easier to defend.
The only way this will be mitigated is by forcing corps which live on gamma to spend a significant amount of time on beta. Either that or creating an influx of players to beta. With the mechanics in place I can't see now either is possible.

I find it funny that devs STILL don't want to learn from eve. Visit some of the different alliances killboards and you will see that our killboard while usefull and great is always improvable.
the innovations a committed playerbase will implement with open wide ranging api are well worth it. killboards are just the tip of the iceberg.
At the end of the day with such a small dev team making as much of the game open source as possible is advantageous. The devs see it with the concept of the game - that's why its a sandbox. They see it with territory control which is why terraforming and walls will be used. Open your mind to the possibilities of API and other open source activities.

I was simply planning on building a few different style arena's for players to hold a couple tournmanets and if they wanted to call people out for some epic battles.
There are a few spots where i scouted that are large enough to build one for lights/assaults but very feew with a large enough area to build one for mechs.

atm on walls. I've found as a solo guy with around ten hours playtime that its pretty hard being self sufficient. that's with two five second rivelers and a good proto char too.

I think as a solo miner that the scarab helps as its less hauling journeys. I personally couldn't stand mining in Steve but I quite like it here, that said I think it could be made more active certainly liquids are pretty easy.
That said its kinda dangerous to make everything in game a struggle. You want some things to be able to be done while eating dinner or talki.g to the wife :-)

sorry binary, who's alt are you again? I dont have any proof, just a feeling I have really, coming from their adverts for publishers that have been there for some time and the lack of a coherent plan for making the game work long term. I don't think that its a bad thing, its just sad nobody has stepped forward to do it as the current team haven't the resources to make the game viable imo.
At this late stage they have two options I would like them to consider exploring.
The first is player investment. Since beta players have been offering to make an investment in the company. A thousand here and there maybe but it adds up and with reasonable terms I think they could raise a couple of hundred thousand. By reasonable terms I would mean no dividend and a percentage of the company with a 5 year buybuck.
The second is in some sort of affiliate scheme. Internet nerds with kickboxer girlfriends and ferrari's (like me ofc) would relish the opportunities to show their adwords fu. Set up a 20% take of the prospects monthly time fee and bringing in players becomes a second job for people. It costs the company virtually nothing and can be modified or withdrawn any time. The downside ofc is that 40% of the server isn't dumb as a brick and would do it for themselves but there are ways to prevent that. Right now they could add 1k players and keep the same overhead. The opportunity cost of NOT doing this is great.

Your pretty full of guano serpens. Ill create a soundboard this weekend of all the audio recordings I have of the leadership advocating account sharing. Of course it was widespread.
The problem wasn't this , it goes on in every corp, the problem is the knee jerk reactions of the dev team punishing the one account not even widely shared rather than a balanced appropriate response across the server.
I dont think folks are claiming they were good ss gold, just that the response was poor.

as someone who has been in CIR for a short time I know this to be a lie. I'm sure every corp is the same, don't lie about it if your going anyway.
