It has come to our attention, that some players have come into illegitimate possession of significant amounts of robots, equipment and other commodities. The magnitude of these exploits have helped these players to affect the whole landscape of Perpetuum.

That already tells us everything we need to know.

Yeah i figure we all know. Id really like to know the extent  and what impact itll have on the future of the game.

Can you release anymore information then this? Who and to what extent? This is big news... Or is it.... *tinfoilhat*

You won't find any europeans roaming around at 5-6 in the morning. People have work & other obligations.

Soviet Novastrov prefers not to stoop so low and call other players sheep or cows, we are in a temporary Non-Agression Pact with the Norhoop alliance with clearly defined goals and ideals. When our goals are achieved - and not a day sooner, as far as SovNov is concerned - we will reset our standings and return to shooting at each other in friendly, open PVP that we all enjoy, with enough room for everyone in the game to grow and prosper at their own pace.

Until that happens, we can all rejoice in the continued propaganda about the best interest of Perpetuum, from our favorite corporation whose ultimate goal is the destruction, manipulation and domination of everything that is not 'them'; regarding the big bad zerg threatening this and that.

Well said syndic. Remember the name menace. But switch society to Perpetuum.

The game didnt always used to be this way. Less came back after the expansion then i had hoped for. I remember leading large successful and fun roams to various places. I remember leading large sucessful defenses of our then home at karapyth. Player retention is low, or so it seems. Thats not entirely m2s's fault, but i would contend that a significant portion of it is. I can only think of one person in  in m2s the game and community wouldnt be beter off without.

I know you have a bonafide disability Arachnix, but please... please run anything you type thru a spell checker first. It's really painful man, srsly.

*edit* I don't get what people don't understand about Teh Smokey Plan. Zero fun = m2s stop logging in = Perpetuum wins. It's really very simple.

But then again, it's pretty much CIR+rest vs m2s now, with a few odd corps here and there that haven't thrown in with either side, like 62nd.

Awesome news man. Glad to hear. We had a couple tornadoes here the other night. Nothing like what Joplin went thru, but it's very scary stuff.

Yes, because that's what everyone want's to do when they want to be entertained. Math.

Don't worry about it Dadar. So many people in this community get off of being elitest jackasses. They've been around for years and have had far to much sway with the devs in the production of this game.

I kind of agree, I think EW is a little bit too powerful in this game, and having almost every 4th tier and above robot have some kind of ew a nuisance.

Then again, it's not like NPC spawns are exactly hard. All it takes is a couple more people with dps and they drop so fast. You can just forget about doing them solo.

In pvp it's pretty easy to get jams on people. That's not to mention the fact that you can also be sensor supressed into not being able to lock. And then demobbed until you're stationary. Just sayin, it's a bit too powerful imo.

*edit* sorry forgot to adress the OP.

Best of luck in your new adventures. Perpetuum isnt for everyone.

Glad to hear you're ok! Material things can be replaced! Good luck to you Uncle Mo, pray for you a speedy recovery.

I agree, WoW pre-TBC was great. Stuff was actually difficult to obtain, and in the end actually meant something. Hell, it was hard to even get into the raids in classic.

Rift isnt bad, I really enjoyed the riftblade tree until they changed the way flamespear works. Couldnt really get into any of the other classes, and didn't extend my sub past the 2nd month.

Eve is still an amazing game. Been in some of the largest battles that have taken place in that game. It's cool sometimes to see this game in it's baby steps of life, as I missed out on early Eve.

Perpetuum is diffrent, and a few of the things I didn't like in Eve are here in this game. The battles here are alot more fluid, at least from my perspective. In Eve, most of my pvp invovled locking a stationary target and shooting it from 160k, or more recently, from 30-80k tongue

This thread delivers... look at all teh m2s out to defend their boy.

And Styx is far from neutral, the entire podcast was dripping with propoganda from every angle.

I agree with Agra's earlier statement that a podcast would have quickly devolved into monkeys bashing each other with clubs. We should settle any beef the players have with m2s in game.

BANHAMMER TIME

lookie the m2s guy forgot to switch back to his other account and posted on his DEV account!

when did you become a man arachnix? i must have missed that memo...

And also, i think

YOU MAD?

*Edit* The point here is, AXE spent alot of time building up their research. Container gave TBA access of the account in trust that he'd do what's best for the corporation with it. Since you used being a child as an example, i'll make an analogy here for you. Your government gives you a school bus and says "Arachnix, this is your school bus, we need you to use it to get the kiddos to school." You take the schoolbus and blow it up. Do you really think your argument of "Well, you gave the schoolbus to me" is valid?

You and your corp support the worst in humanity. You display it everyday, everytime you knowingly accept and support people like Stunt and TBA. Yes, this is a game and not real life. Does that give you an excuse and a right to act like thieving immoral bastards? I don't think so. Blowing people up in game and some good natured ribbing after the fact is what this game is about, not setting out to ruin peoples game for them.

And people without any morals aren't really the best to comment on other people who DO have morals.

If you guys ever want to do it on Teamspeak, I can make the time. I have no intrest in downloading and installing yet another program to do the same thing that the other ones I have do.

I was told I'd be emailed a copy of the questions, but that never happened. Even had I not been able to attend the panel I could have replied in text and you could have used that for awnsering.

I also feel like I've made public what I think of the game and how I'd like to see it progress, and apparently it differs quite a bit from what the producers of the podcast think.

And in response to the first portion of the podcast, your corporation is only as good as the people and the reputation of the people in the corp. Roving Guns took a lot of flak for some things people said BEFORE they were Roving Guns by people in this community. By accepting people that steal from other corporations, or who take a character that is vital to the corps viability and deleteing it, by allowing them to continue to bear your insignia, shows that you support that persons actions.

It's nice to see where the podcasts producers stand on this. I was actually starting to respect you Gremrod, which would have been a dubious honor as the only person in your corp that I did. Nice to see you actually fit right in with the Jelans, and the Stunts and the TBAs.

haha m2s arguing with each other in this tread is funny.

Explosions are fine, mongolia is mad. nothing to see here

No Not really dude, u wanna know who i wasbefore the patch.. Pm me and i will tell you ^^ i did accualy buy a T2 Em-gun proto from you guys about a month ago.

Hey Arachnix, bit weak changing your name after you got "uber troll rep"....

It took me until the post that he made after merkle to realize who it was tongue

Arachnix, you should know how long it's been since I died in a roam. You were there, and I lost a yagel to nicinator's Kain after killing 3 or 4 tackle. I came back and we killed nicinator like 6 more times, plus others.

Btw, thanks for all that juicy intel you gave us after you joined... too bad you had to go and blow your cover on the boards : / Funny troll too about the blob thing haha.

I posted my reply here.

http://forums.perpetuum-online.com/topi … alliances/

It's basically the same awnser to the same question.

I disagree with the OP. Of course, I disagree with the whole blob thing too. If I brought more friends to the fight then you, then that was your fault for not having more friends. I've never complained when we got outnumbered.  It's simply a matter of the human condition.

If they eliminated you being able to bring more to a fight, you'd complain that the people you were fighting had better gear then you. If they eliminated the gear you'd complain that they beat you by being able to use the terrain better then you. So they'd get rid of the terrain... then you'd *** cause there was no terrain.

Any time you have something of perceived value, the people wanting to protect it will generally use whatever is avalible to them to protect it. More people are joining the game, and all of the beta corps have been clamoring to pick up as many as they can. I wish the community would be pushing for more and bigger fights, not crying everytime they get beat by someone with more. I can't wait for the 150v150 hour long mega slugfest battles with each side fielding 100+ heavies.

Why would you post the patchnotes here? Whats the point?

This is the first place I found patch notes and the topic seemed to be exactly what I was wondering as a ex-subscriber. It was nice to read the patch notes to have a baseline to compare the comments to.

So how are you guys liking the patch? More importantly is it worth re-subbing for?

Hey Embolism. Everyone has their own opinion, and mine is ovbiously biased, but I never lapsed my sub, and now I'm happy that I didnt because alot of the changes will be great for the game. I look forward to seeing GG come back, and hopefully for good this time. You guys were a ton of fun to fight.

* '''Fix:''' Chat block works now as intended.

Yay. Now I don't have to listen to certian people spew forth nonsense.

I haven't tried any of it, but overall im very pleased. Everything sounds like it's going to be very beneficial to the game. I really like the intrusion changes, they're even better then the idea I had of just making them cost 50 million.
