Yeah it's too bad he has to babysit the kids that refuse to play nice. Might even get some actual work done if he didn't have to.

Evidence and posts suggest you drink stupid. And an awful lot of it.
But to be on topic, I'm gonna give your idea a ..... -1

Did you see that coming?

This reminds me of your "Rent a Gamma base on Bergers" thread you had, Ville. You know, where you offered to rent Bergers for players wanting a secure Gamma to play on. Then promptly lost it to us, deleted your members private storage, and allowed us to control Bergers for the rest of Gamma 1.0

So, buyer beware.

I'm still trying to figure out when apparently STC is a non factor, has something like 8 kills v the 85 -77- has, that your entire side persists in mentioning us and slamming us in about 90% of your corp mandated troll threads. It's almost like you're saying "STC isn't relevant! But we need to keep repeating this because they are in fact Relevant!!" For a corp that is apparently confined to alpha and disbanding you seem quite concerned trying to convince people of these incorrect statements.

Keep up all the troll threads. I think you are due for another "one night with Carcass" intel screenshot thats "not from Carcass". Without doing anything, and on the verge of disbanding, we are seeing a surprisingly increasing number of new Steamlings who were immediately recruited into your corp and wonder what's the deal with the trolling.

I just want to thank you. The best recruiting for us is threads like this. Please continue.

I think you guys might need to be concerned your corp wide ticket spamming for any possible EULA violations doesn't succeed and gets applied retroactively.

Also, which specific fight did I run all tuners in the head Ville? I honestly don't remember either way but generally I don't do that for reasons already mentioned here, it gimps the fit and makes RSAs almost a necessity.

Just curious.

This, actually, is probably the best compromise if or when Trials do return to the game. It would require beefing the tutorial island up a bit though.

Jesus Christ.

Rage, add numbers to that list of yours, generally it's the deciding factor.
The other things are important of course, but generally numbers decide the fight.

I disagree with nerfing Ewar.

Zoom, I don't like the mobile tele change because in the end it does favour the larger side. And because you still allow jumped while flagged on external teleports .... Makes no sense allowing one but not the other.

Although I initally disagreed with removing the trial, it seems the people who pay $30 bucks are more willing to invest more than a cursory glance at the game. They seem to put a few weeks in at the least. This is based directly from myself talking to at least 20-30 Steamlings. Sure the trial gives a free look but if you haven't paid and you don't understand the game its easy to say "*** this ***" and move on to something else.

So its a toss up between more exposure to more committed. I'm leaning towards no trial.

I would give everyone 5 sparks, make any location only cost one spark, and 20 minute (max!) cooldown.
Then sell another 5 pack of sparks for a monthly charge of $5 or whatever the credit equivalent is.

I hate to even get involved in this whole debate again. But there has yet to be a time in this game where SpT allowed power projection over numbers. All of the political shifts in territorial control over the time we've had SpT has been due to numbers and alliances. Which is the way it should be.

Congrats Masta, the best of the noobs. Ville you're lucky to have found him!

Join STC if you want the beSTCorp!

Why STC?
Simply ...

beSTCorp

If you want a sense of our influence and reach, simply read the forums, those who we have controlled the last few years feel the need to meta game all sorts of various slander in the effort to discourage those unfamiliar with the history and legacy of all corps in Perpetuum. Simple proof, read up in this this thread on this page, Fred Phelps is an alt character on the Crusader account, which is an alt account of Ville. Of course we will happily kick and ban our enemies from our RPS channel, Fred is correct. And notice Ville comments on his own post in the next comment.

Our enemies are creative, and powerful, outnumber us 4-1, and meta game like crazy.
Meaning if you are a "good" player with an enjoyment of being an underdog fighting the good fight against evil,
STC is the beSTCorp for you.

Fred  Phelps wrote:

My personal experience with STC:  As I was looking for a corporation to join, I decided to join the RPS channel to see what all the rift raft was about.  Upon entering the channel I immediately saw 2 yellow names and 4 people who were in STC in white.  I then was immediately kicked from the channel and banned without even a word.  If your interested in joining STC be weary, they are narrow minded individuals who think everyone is a spy.  After that day, I decided to form the Westboro Baptist Church and continue the crusade.  Be warned.

thought, according your fight summary, the good guys is always the loser side. does the API actually send out the old "agression" flag data, aka who shot first @ an unflagged target. If yes, you could use that data to define "agressor" and "defender" or just use neutral designations for "faction/alliance 1, 2 and 4"

Yeah, I'll probably just switch it to neutral designations. Right now "good" and "bad" are calculated from the perspective of the kill you were viewing.

I haven't forgotten about fixing this page or the other features, I'm just very busy at work this week.

I personally think its easier to just put it to before, none of the good guy/bad guy thing, where it showed all KMs on that island on that fight over a 10 minute interval. (5 minutes forward/5 minutes backwards)

How it was a month ago, least that way all KMs in the time period will show on the battle report. fuuu

Sigh, kill me now, but +1
Also, I guess with the co ords available shouldn't there be some data there as well that would help accurately depict the sides and scope of the battle? Just a thought.

Welcome to the game, I hope you like it as much as I do. As a community no matter how much there may be conflict and smacktalk between players and corps you are certainly correct in that all sides generally will unselfishly help the new players. We all want the game to grow, and we all want someone to shoot smile good luck! If you see me in game feel free to ask any questions, cheers.

Maybe I will just go thru my Gen Chat logs for the last 2 months and quote every single derivative of "Hungarian Horse ...." and who says it. And post it here.

But hey, it's just a term of endearment certain players use for the Devs, right?
And it's just said in Gen Chat, where every player starts. Innocent little fun right? Certainly doesn't make the game community look bad right?

So really Ville, this is what you are saying is perfectly fine to say, right? You're defending your right to be "cool" and "mature" because throwing slang around like that is ok and "if you don't like it harden the *** up", right?

Rage Rex, the usual suspects are on their usual sides in this thread because it's how each side generally conducts themselves. People certainly choose how they want to act.

The people who cross the line are fully aware of when they do it and they do it for as much the "shock" effect as the "look at me ima internet tough guy"

Ville, the best troll of all is the fact that you started this post.
The fact you can still post here says it all. I havent used the "report" buttton on the forums yet in the 3 years I have played and I probably wont, but I have called people out on the forums directly on threads or posts that were clearly over the line. The posts were removed in short order. The posters still posts.

Zoom its not about hardening up. Martha hit it directly ... things are let slide, and the comments get worse, and repeated ...

Its the internets. *** will be *** because they can. Its totally on the Devs to control it, and if you dont you reap what you sow.

(86 replies, posted in Q & A)

I think "soft c*cks" "***" and "HHN" are all things that should evoke bans, especially the last one.
Nothing wrong with smacktalk, and I agree fully with how it drives PvP etc.

I just personally don't like how much of it is on Gen Chat, and I've said why.

149

(86 replies, posted in Q & A)

Honestly, in private or vicinity chat I don't really care about the vulgarity. But there is quite a bit that if said in Gen Chat/recruitment/Help, or other public channels that I would ban, and then perma ban when it's said again. Simply because it makes the game and its community look bad to the newer players.

Not everyone wants to be subjected to epeen waving and internet tough guy talk when logging in.

At the same time it's up to the Devs to enforce this as they see fit. The lack of enforcement on some of the things said also looks bad on the game.

Gord, you want to fight P2W by introducing more P2W features?

I understand where you stand though- you want to be able to get credits with in-game means and there's nothing wrong with that. If devs think it should be possible then they should just add some in-game activities that generate credits and not turn this game completely P2W in the process.

Perpetuum depends heavily of assets and NIC. If someone is able to turn $ into NIC at any rate he has clear advantage.

Oh but you did have the opportunity. Only time I ever saw you run missions actually.
