I really think reimbursements based on mechanic changes should be limited at best.

Where do you draw the line with what's eligible for reimbursement?
I don't like the "terraforming package for every terminal ever dropped" because the NeBs base on Imi probably used the most terraforming charges per terminals placed, yet they will receive the same charges as the 12th terminal randomly placed on an island to simply reach the cap. Reimburse charges, not Nic. Since they just will be used on Gamma 2.0 anyways.

Sorry Quanta.

Are we talking a persons individual actions or something that occurs in a game.

If you saw I died on Nova does this mean you can show up at my work tomorrow?

Ville, after killing Paw 6 or 7 times on Nova, what possible extra info from the co ords is available from your analysis that is not available from your TS or simply looking at what island he died on?  His death co ords have had less impact than his patterns. But hey, I recognize sarcasm. Using it in an attempt to prove how OP the death co ords are actually has the opposite effect.

Aye Pod, you attach far more weight to your "pro" removal and trivialize my "keep" points.

I don't think its a big deal. You think it will be abused. Got it. We disagree.
Its nothing more than that. It has nothing to do with politics.

But if there is one thing that these forums have show is the loudest and most persistent voices influence decisions, not necessarily logic. So continue to attack other people FOR their opinion, rather than WHAT their actual opinion is.

It works.

By the way, please refute these arguments if you can.

Harvester dies, co ords show where Norg planted ..... kill the harvester when he returns
umm ... What harvester would continue to harvest a blown field?

15 minute delay, co ords allow response.
Ok, kill someone and .... wait? In 15 minutes you can be 2 islands away.

Location of traps revealed by co ords. Newbs can use this info to avoid ganks.
With the wide range of PvP and reasons for why it occurs, looking at a killmail doesn't reveal the why it happened, more by whom and where.

Killboard run by major faction toon, special access/info withheld/advantage
This is the most political, and weakest argument of all. Anyone who wishes to produce stuff for the perp community has access to the data. There is more than one KB, the same data is available on both at the same time. If a toon your alliance wishes to produce a KB that has open access to everyone I am sure he would get the same data.

Nothing to do with politics. Understand. You don't have to agree, but get off the political bullshit for once.

I was close! But a good bunch of guys smile
Maybe WBC could role play and kill the role playing godless infidel terrorists infesting Hersfield?
Now that would be a fun battle.

Friendly Bump! smile

So if you are into slurs and discrimination WBC is the corp for you, filled with like minded individuals.
If you find Fred Phelps not online simply message Crusader, and he will log Fred in to deal with your questions and applications. You may note Crusader is the Alt of Ville who is the CEO of PHM, which is a place holding corp for CIR.

All in all a great bunch of quality guys. If you find this a little confusing simply apply directly to CIR.

Friendly bump!

Tux, 18:00 CEST, not 16:00 .... Assuming forum times are same as server times.

Edit: I guess it is 16:00 wink

Finally smile

Current system is fine. Old system was changed with introduction of interzone TPs and the islands on map became actual distance. Iirc.

Keep terraforming the same as Gamma 1.0

Allow changes within +100/-100 m of original ground tile.
This allows for walls, but not the 1000 m monoliths.
Allows for offensive terraforming.
Makes base location and surrounding terrain actually matter.

Limit terraforming to within 3km of Terminal.
No terraforming within 500m of external coastline.
No terraforming within 2500m of external Teleports

Terraforming fixed.

Welcome to the new players, if you need any help or any questions hit me or Brutux or Atticus anytime you see us in game. No recruiting I just like to help new players.

As an added bonus I speak Canadian, eh.

Sweet, test server is up

+1, excellent idea, as long as we tie it into the Steam accounts. If Perp detects Steamlings are playing other games on their Steam accounts it should automatically delete every other game except Perp. I mean why should you be afk playing other games when you get a CTA on your corp TS. If you don't keep your accounts logged in 24/7  you shouldn't be allowed to play.

Not sure if you've noticed but this topic has gone 7 different ways to Sunday. I think Burial was replying to Tunds troll of Azyre, with maybe a valid point.

Back on topic, since its important, orange spawns should not be in game period.

It's quite easy to multibox 2-3 EW accounts- nothing should be that passive.

I find it quite challenging to use just one ewar account effectively and I spend most of my PvP time on EW. I would not even attempt to use two (unless the second was a Follow Bot on the old mechanics).

You must be Ultra-Pro. I think you should take your High-Pro-Skills into account and think of yourself in the top 1% Pro-Skill category. With that perspective you may realize that none of your ideas work for the other 99% of the community who simply cannot keep up with your Pro-Skill-Nature.

LOS for ewar may be within your Pro-Skill-Set but then the rest of us would never be able to compete with you.

I'm not sure if this is sarcasm.

By that logic NPCs are infinite too. So what?

Why are you only addressing half of his argument. Troll? hmm

What are you getting at? Seriously, I don't understand your reply here.

Or have mine give the finger to the guy who's just about to kill me.

And I was in chat when someone (Jita maybe) sggested to Dev BoyC about just make another slot on all bots, where you install the paint/buff/gender stuff you paid for.

Dev BoyC reply was "That is *** brilliant"

Make it so and show us your brilliance.

That confirmation has been already done in the blog:

Depending on how testing and development of this goes, the best case scenario is that we don’t shut down gammas at all, but do the reset on the 22nd and you can immediately take it back with the improved mechanics in place. In case we encounter some serious issues during testing, we will still have the reset on the 22nd, but will close down gammas on the same day until we can deploy the changes.

Heres the problem. The players need to test this.

My biggest complaint is it limits PVP styles, and still being able to jump flagged on any external tele.
Making this change and leaving armoured teles as is will still allow some unaffiliated person or small group to mine epri on beta with a small chance to survive.  Remember epri is Beta only now, right.

And our corp is largest in game? Based on what, lifetime accounts, or active players?
When the server was blue to us, it was boring. Jita was the only one on your side to stick around. The rest of you left, pick a reason why.

Now someone else has the numbers, the ACTIVE players, and the results in game are mindnumbingly predicable.
The only difference is we don't ragequit or start yet another forum campaign to change something for political reasons rather than gameplay balance.

Honestly I have no problem with your (or our) recruiting, how many come to a fight, who you are blue with, or even the fight results. Its a sandbox after all. Just don't be surpirsed at what happens soon.

and to add to that when you talk about fear understand that we have planted a flag in Nova BECAUSE we want fights. We have the courage to accept some losses and face out foes every single day. We dont base our fleets out of ICS A and Shinjelar and call ourselves strong. We dont log off masked assaults and ewar on an island and drop armoreds before we even flag. We just put it out there and respond every time - and when we do you always die, albeit with us suffering some losses.

Boy dont talk to me about courage, you dont know the meaning of the word.

I think you missed the part about being allied with the largest group of players ingame.

Other than that you certainly have balls.

And still no information on what is being refunded because if there's no refund for the tens of billions in terraforming charges I'm gonna go nuts

Read the blog again. For every terminal your corp ever deployed on Gamma, you get a terraforming charge package reimbursement, since its impossible for them to track who used how many charges where.

So since you were successful in having several of your corps terminals blown up, you'll get more charges than us on Imidero, because it was never destroyed. And Imi probably has more terraforming done than any other island.

Makes perfect sense and totally balanced.

I think its time for the Devs to actually play their game and stop making changes based on politically motivated forum campaigns.

Please think.

Today, before you make all the Alpha 2 orange while you figure out what to do with them, whats better?

1) No Orange spawns anywhere in game. All NPCs rubberband. They are farmable but will kill you if you get too close as a noob. Like it was in the old days.

2) Teleporting, Red here, Orange there, roaming here, Orange Observer Lvl III stashes that only kill the arkhe popping them while the sequer next to them grabs the 3 heavy mech cortexes unmolested. etc, etc.

What do you think is better?

What I would do ....

Alpha 1) All red, all static, set path roaming spawns
Alpha 2) All red, static mission spawns, set path roaming spawns, roaming Observers

Beta) All red, static mission spawns, all other spawns random roaming like Gamma
Gamma) All random roaming red spawns.

Give them a 1000 m chain.

You'll have dangerous and challenging islands.  Setting the path ensures they cannot be pulled onto terminals, and most teles.

You will have a viable form of farming for income for players.

Its not that hard. You had it before and it was balanced.

Billions and Billions of Nic, and literally years of playing time, all wiped because the mechanics were used to the extreme by players then changed, and changed and changed again.

No complaints about the wipe to fix mechanics once and for all, but only a week, max, of testing before Steam launch.
There is no way the players who truly know Gamma can thoroughly test it in that time. Just close Gamma until its tested and tweaked properly, please. Just this one time. The community is giving you a free pass with this wipe. Don't *** it up.

I'm going to add, you realize its simply not the technicality of the mechanics that needs to be tested, but the viability and survivabilty of a Gamma base. I strongly suspect you intend to simply test the new mechanics so they don't break and not whether there are enough connections on a terminal to ensure it doesn't die in 6 hours of absent owner.

Surprise me.
