my work around was to add a <select name='resource'><option value='$resource_id'>$resource_name</option>
...
...

that auto pops from the mysql database when im uploading csv files to it. how ever at this time its a pain it the butt. i have at least carried over the varible of which option i selected on the last upload of the csv data.

for my excel spread sheet i was importing the data into specific worksheets, but have since moved to a web based solution.

This is something i have been asking for i just don't know which account i posted it on the forums as.

but to sum up my other post, the game already has Conglomerates if you click on a npc corp players profile and look at the bottom it says "Conglomerate: IC" and up at the top you can see ICS-DD or for ASI-IM

if that was in game already that whole S-K german thread wouldn't have even existed. So really this is just asking for a mechanic to be available to players that is already in game.

im from a small corp so this would actually be counter to my position but logical in the sense of the game.

we could get into taxing corporate income from sales and there taxes, conglomerate outposts.

Bug:

Right click to bring up then Radial and choose the GEOSCANNER shape, hit the scan button to bring up the grid overlay on the base map and now click on the X to close the geoscanner shape window.

your mouse is now unable to right click on the map to bring up the shapes tool to turn off the boxes and you will have to refresh to get past it, i think it also broke something else but i can't remember.

no? eh i figured i would ask, no worries i have made a work around

yup pretty much, a island chat system would just show who is on what island or when they arrive, it would kill the point of having sensor/em strength since you could see a corp port to your island. if the player count suddenly went from 20 to 40 in a matter of seconds you can kinda figure out what is about to happen.

Let me count your duel system with this suggest i was thinking of last night while running my last transport mission:

Instead of dueling outside in the game world, What about a Instance Simulator that was based on the terminal.

So if you and i go to Truhold Alpha we fit out bots and instead of hitting the deploy button and going out the feild we can bring up a menu that lets us hit a simulate button and that puts us in a low tech wire frame arena where what ever your active with is copied in and then  blown up at your pleasure.

in the real world physical space is limited so you can't just go: you know what i dont like the price of gas im going to go out find a oil field setup a refiner and then turn that into gas, there are various physical and political restrictions that prevent such.

Anything that Adds another "unlimited faucet" is usually a bad thing because we already live in a game world where we can just go out and farm X to get Y.

My idea of a dungeon is to add islands that only NPC's control, IE they control the Dock so you can't dock you can use teleports and thats it. There NPC Sequers and arganos should be out mining and hauling. They should be pretending to harvest resources. the mechs should be protecting them or doing roams.

Relation Ratio that affects production is stupid, it should just lower cost and not anything else.

Relation should lower how much something costs not how much resources we can magically create strictly because i ran a few errands for the npc corps. The same goes for the other parts of refining and ct creation.

Material efficiency should be strictly based on skills and Time Efficiency should be based on relation and some skills.

Ewar parts should really have to be mounted like weapons IMHO it just makes sense be cause it is a WEAPON after all, if it is only electronic.

you really don't have to add anything to encourage beta players, the problem is your trying to force pvp on pve care bears and if you push them too much they are going to get ticked off and start asking for less beta stuff.

right now the biggest thing that stops people from going to play on beta is not being in a comu release corp that has a endless supply of mechs they built up from the beginning of the year.

unless you spend a week building bots to use on the week end your only going to be on beta for a couple of minutes.

If we speak stricly just assaults and lights your still looking at 1-2 days prep time.

As it stands if your not already on beta or allied/subjugated to another corp your going to have a hard time making a footing.

Its like how rich people only need money to make more money, but poor people dont have that large pool of money to start making enough for it to be worth while.

Would it be possible to get the Item that data was exported for in the CSV file so that i dont have to import then individualy and set a column name to the item for each

something like this:

File: marketrangedemand-2011-08-20-00-20-21.csv

"item","Quantity","Price","Base","Offer expiration"
"Titanium","18142","15.85 NIC","Tellesis Main Terminal","2212-09-01 15:43:00"

File: marketrangesupply-2011-08-20-00-21-48.csv

"item","Quantity","Price","Base","Offer expiration"
"Titanium","1051","23.00 NIC","Asintec Alpha Terminal","2212-08-21 04:18:00"

Instead of the no item rows of data. Right now im having to open these files in excel individually and set the extra colunm of data.

please

I think the only trouble you'd start to have is using medium weapons on light bots.  Like in stEVE, big guns don't really hit small targets that well.  An assault bot doesn't strike me as overkill in the least.

In fact, if you want to buy a heavy mech and go thumping about, demolishing newbie drones, who's to rightfully argue that you shouldn't?  This is as sandboxy as that other game you played so enjoy yourself!

By the way, welcome to Perp!  We're glad to have you.  I hope that you enjoy the game and stick around to do stuff here.

pretty much putting a medium weapon on a assault with the Weapon size vs Target size means your going to be doing maybe like 10% more damage on 1 weapon  for double the cost

Medium missles hit for the same amount of damage on a small target that small missles do, how ever those medium missles do more damage on larger targets. on a Waspish, esp cause you loose that damage bonus from the bot extensions

I never had any issues buying ammo when i was playing on a trial account, if your following just the directions in the tutorial alone and using the drops you get from the missions you should have about 140k and plenty of ammo.

then that's where you have issues because you need to change islands and start doing missions for another corporation so you can at least be put up against things that you can kill with relative ease.

for what its worth you can use bitcoins to pay for a perpetuum subscription, you just need to use your online exchange and then transfer it to pay pal and then buy your subscription from the devs.

Logically speaking you if you have bit coins you should have a way to convert them into goods or services, some of those goods being money.

These are the numbers for turning HDT to Isopropentol

Refinery I
used    result    delta    componets    Relation    Material
999983    17554    122283    50    6%    87%
999973    17506    124673    50    5%    87%
999942    16816    159142    50    0%    87%

99976      1989      526       50    6%    99%
99997      1984      797       50    5%    99%

All Characters have Refining 5

Most likely from a lore perspective: There most likely is some sort of fail safe built into the fire control on the weapon itself, since there designed to be swapped in and out the signal to fire and target information are most likely sent to the weapon, when it detects theres no target information it probally jams.

at least that sounds lorey enough. lol

Actually in a way having your friend being a diffrent race is probally good since you can cover each others damage types, you just need a 3rd buddy to go Asitech

How ever logically you would expect a planet to have some of all the resources avalible on the entire planet.

Granted some areas might have more and some have less but the basic resources are almost always avalible on the entire planet unless that resource is specific to a region, If that was the case the Epriton would only be avalible on 1 island...

They really should limit it to 1 character per account. Or at the very least it should cost 1 day of ep to buy a additional agent in addition to the cost to delete em.

I run 4 accounts with the following setup

Combat,Combat, Miner/Refiner, Prototyper/Manunfacture

both industrial accouns can piolet Sequers so i can use the prototyper to go out and get the roe while im mining with my termis, while one of the combat accounts guards the other two.

other times i take both combat accounts out.

Also RR is remote repairer

Well in Mechwarrior you had a few second before your/enemy bot exploded after damaging it enough, but giving it here it would be bad imo. People already know when they are going to die and can try to run (talking about a mech which is going to die in a group).

If am all for the explosion size connected with interference. This idea was already posted in some other thread about it. (like a month or 2 ago).

yup, they would drop down to a knee and a ball would start to form and it would slowly grow and then explode.

Thats always going to happen in any game with a auction house or market such as the one in game.

No, we want contracts.  "I want X number of Y item, and upon completion you will get Z NIC."

Its good if you want to work with a particular corp and aren't in that corp to see internal orders.  It could also include transport orders.
