but AFAIK you get back 100% of the materials you put in at any point, and your "penalty" is that your CT degenerates for one cycle.

This may sound like a small penalty, but considering that a 80% CT will degenerate by ~10% per cycle, you have wasted a whole two decoder levels on that CT.

number of cycles cant give you a preview, as the degrading of the CT has a random factor built in.

we have seen the last few days, that the EP mechanic is one of the most sensible ones ingame.

thats why im sensible about a "just" in any argumentation.

its just a matter of a wrong placed code, and the whole game is ragequitting, not only those who didnt read the infos before creating their agent.

Just giving every new created character the initial 20k EP and link it that that char alone, is maybe even a much better option, than providing respecs.

that "just" is just not possible. EP is gained account wide. The initial EP is not for your first agent, its on your account.

if the DEVs would give out 20K ep for every new agent, you would simply start with 60k EP
(three agents)
after 24h you delete two of them and spawn another batch of 40k EP. The 2880 EP Agent-delete penelaty would be a drop water on a hot stone.

if you want to put up more things on the market, spend a few point in the extension that is raising your limit.

everyone has to do this, unless he started with the economical/political profession (which is obviously the "trader")

its 1 day and 11 hours worth of ep for a full combat agent to get 16 slots - and thats per terminal.

actually, i would love to have a seperate color for own corp, instead of that easy-2-overlook icon in the landmark list - by default.

i suggest you to leave "general chat" and "help" to reduce the refresh spam.
