This has been mentioned in other posts, but it deserves a thread of it's own.
Make the deployable field containers last longer, around 30minutes would be good. big_smile

(refering to the alco lock, not the old bearded man...:fuuu:)

I totally agree about the corp market smile
At this stage of Perpetuum, I think the best is to aid an active open market as much as possible. Many items are over priced due to lack of competition, and many are, wich is even worse, not even to be found on the market what so ever. (not even at stupidly high prices)
One way to solve it, would perhaps be to increase the ammount of sell/buy orders you have/get with the skills.

I was going trolololol in space, and when the introduction of monocles etc made people rage on the forums someone mentioned perpetuum as a replacement for stEVE, but with WASD-controlls and a world that isnt just 99,9999999% vacuum, höhö.
I thought it could be worth a try, and after a week I was subbed. smile

More diversity in what the islands have to offer sounds like a good idea, promotes trade aswell as conflict smile

Sounds like a cool idea, and once we have a bigger world with more players and a lot longer transports a viable profession smile
I think Arga seems to have a pretty solid idea for how to make it work, it should be possible to steal the cargo, pirate a hauler etc, it adds a dimension to it and also makes it harder to abuse.

Was farming for about 6 hours yesterday.
1 bot got stuck inside a slope (only 25% of my missiles would hit him)
Several bots walked up and down slopes(or up a mountain etc) they shouldnt be able to. Some of them did snap back to their spawn point after wandering away a few hundred meters.

+1, especially as the game grows with more islands, the trade is going to get more important I think, a skill that gives +50/level sounds quite imba, maybe just change the current one to give twice as many sell/buy orders and increase the EP cost per level to match it smile

+1
I was writing on a similar proposal actually smile
Putting the statistics on the front page perhaps? makes the game seem more dynamic and alive too for people who are just checking it out and havent created an account smile
Also add it to the profile, so you can see how many bots you killed (how many mechs, light, pelistal etc), distance traveled etc etc...
Probably very easy to add, but awesome for us nerds who have a statistics-fettish.
And while looking at statistic features, give us back the online player graph!!!

+1 Good idea, can only see benefits with this! smile

Now give us back the # of players online graph!
I've been following it for a long time. It seems to me the community is more active and growing, and once we get PBS and a bigger world, that will most likely both attract new players and bring back old ones. Would be nice to see how perp progresses big_smile

Great initiative, and I wish you the best of luck making it happen smile
Would be fun to participate in some cool 1 vs 1 battles in the arena smile

That hangar view looked awesome! big_smile

Thanks, and lets hope the counter measures work so your time can be invested in more fun stuff smile

Good idea smile

It's not an exploit, its a tactical log in TARP!

My only complaint with mining is the mad dash to get the hauler to the can before it expires.  If the cans had a longer timer then it wouldnt be such a worry

+1000 to this!
Why is it such a short timer?

As far as I am concerned, spawns are better than ever, and the AI makes for a more interesting experience smile There are still "static" spawns that spawn the same bots over and over again, and harder dynamic ones that may kick your shiny robotic butt.
Its just a matter of choosing what you prefer and farm at that location, I dont get what's the problem, except the obvious abuse of annoying colors. wink fuuu:fuuu::fuuu::fuuu::fuuu:

Finally! smile

Hey, thought it would be interesting to see what computers people are playing with, what settings they use and what performance they get.
Not just fun to know, but also usefull for people who want real figures of what to expect from different hardware.

I currently run on my HTPC.
Mobo: Asus E35M1-I Deluxe (tiny m-ITX card)
CPU: AMD E-350 @ 1,6GHz
GPU: Radeon HD 6310 (integrated one, not officially supported to work with perp by AC)
RAM: 4Gb DDR3 @ 1333MHz

Settings: lowest possible/disabled on all settings fuuu
Performance: lagging in stations, allmost playable when there's not too many bots etc on the screen, and "slideshow" when trying to run 160+ on highways fuuu

OR get completely rid of current "blood jump" by only allowing players to set their home base at terminals they are currently docked at.

+1 to that! smile
