I know, the last 2 weeks my comp was working was the most fun I've had in perp since I started playing, so its really a horrible timing...

Tbh I didn't expect this amount of negative expectations
Intrusion 2.0 is imo a step in the right direction, however it is a far cry from the final solution P needs. The system should be reiterated in december and january again with POS to make it interesting for the masses.But before I start smartassing, I'll wait for the devBlog™ and the patch.
Just one really important thing WILL THE PATCH go live by nov 30th at the latest?
EDIT: @mobios, also the new system is nothing to be afraid of. It will only show which corporations really know how to manage resources and workforce, which coprorations have dedicated players in multiple time zones and which don't. The game is about to get a whole new level of depth without giving way to more complexity. That's VERY positive.
Wise words. Even though there might be a lot more things many players want in the game, this is a step in the right direction. The game has a lot of fun to offer allready IMO, and in the future it sure will have even more, POS, new bots etc... the small team of DEVs cant make it all over night though

I have 100MBit cable connection, a stable 40-60 ping in all games except perp where I get huge lag spikes from time to time. :S

Well here are my thought on combat missions and also the NPCs you face.
Fir of all L0 and L1 combat missions are easy and done quickly. Nothing wrong with them as i see it, in fact the most likely thing that will slow you down are slow spawn rates or too many people doing the mission.
Then there is the insane jump in difficulty from L1 to L2. You need about 5 times the usual damage, the enemy damage is untankable and the drops arent that much better. The higher mission reward is often nullified simply because you also have to travel further to get to the spawn site. The higher plasma-drops don't offset the higher ammo costs. And you loose standing.
So here are my suggestions:
- Reduce travel times.
- Reduce difficulty(damage and hitpoints, dont give them additional resists) of L2 and L3 Rats on Alpha islands. They will still use EW and stuff so they are still dangerous.
- Give out more ammo(like 300-500) as a mission reward and also of varying types, not always the same.
- Increase plasma-drops for beta NPCsOne last thing: All my observation are based on my relatively low extensions and only for light and assault bots.
Good ideas to make the game more fun and playable
I feel kinda stuck at the lvl 1 missions... possibly I just need a better robot and more EP.
If I wanted to just grind and grind the same thing I'd go for the triangle of booredom, so making the combat missions more profitable and with a more clear way of advancing would perhaps benefit the game

What's quite handy is, if you've gotten rep for all three factions up to a decent level (e.g. via transport missions), then you can get L1 and L2 missions from all 3 Alpha terminals and associated Outposts.
Now, normally (though not always) it seems that the Bounty Hunting missions for a given faction are against the faction type robots against whom you are weak (e.g. Truhold-Markson Alpha Terminal gives a L1 Bounty Hunting mission against Nuimqol robots). That's presumably why the Bounty Hunting missions give the greatest NIC rewards out of all the missions - because they're a bit more challenging.
But if you are able to get Bounty Hunting missions from the other factions, that means you can go to one of the other Alpha Terminals (or outposts if you've got enough faction for L2) and do missions against the faction type against whom you are strong (e.g. with my Pelistal robot, I can go to ICS Alpha Terminal and get a Bounty Hunting mission against Thelodica, who are strong to Nuimqol but weak to me, or I can go to Asintec Alpha Terminal and do Search & Destroy missions against Thelodica robots).
What this means is that you can farm Bounty Hunting missions (and associated plasmas and kernels) that take much less time (because you can plow through the mobs relatively quicker).
It makes quite a difference to be fighting against mobs whom you are strong against - you melt through them much more satisfyingly
Of course this also works for just exploring - if you're Pelistal, explore Asintec lands (where there are more Thelodica), if your Nuimqol explore Truhold-Markson areas (where there are more Pelistal) and if you're Thelodica explore ICS areas (where there are more Nuimqol).

It looks interesting indeed
I think I will give it a month or so to get into it and decide if this is my EVE replacement or if I should keep looking. However I must say it feels like the devs are doing a good job and have a nice attitude against the players, a huge PLUS!
