I was having a lot of similar problems last night -- lots of lag in chat and pulling up fitting and assignment windows, as well as random disconnects when trying to log in and deploying. Once I was on terrain I was fine walking around and had no issues with the environment, but still had chat window issues.

I'll see tonight if the additional server memory installed today helps.

While trawling over these forums and trying to get up-to-speed I’ve seen reference to the colours Blue, Green and Yellow in a number of posts. I *think* they are to do with mech / tech race lines, but can someone please spare a few minutes and let me know properly? Ta!

Much love big_smile

Aiming high! 1004

Excellent, would read again!

As we're already at 600, I think it might just get to around 900... hope the servers hold! yarr

Now that the servers look to be fixed, what are your predictions for the peak concurrent user count tonight? Will there be a new record? Will we break the 1k mark? Post your guesses below!

I noticed in DEV Calvin's "Welcome to Perpetuum" post that there are plans for a web site update. Will this include the ability to allow images in post sigs, with the option for seeing them or not?

Is it a linear recharge or is some other function applied?

I have a paid subscription but can not use the product...... What options do we have in this regard??

Read DEV Calvin's post of Page 7 (post 166). The important part is:

All this time we spend chasing this issue will be free of charge to all of you.

Basically you'll not lose out on any game time and will still receive EP...

NAV 10 is necessary for all aspects of Perp. Start with it and work on other skills. All period. Assignments, PvP, hauling.. everything! Just do yourself a favor and start with it maxed, you will always be glad for the speed. Not 6 or 8, you will be left behind. You could start at 9 but then that last point will take you awhile and you will be tempted to spend the ep on other "cheaper" skills before clicking it.

As I've not allocated out any of my EP, this would leave me around 5k, plus the accumulation of the past few days, so maybe 10k in total... I think this may be the first allocation I make!

Seems like quite a drop there, though I wonder what effect the broken Mac clients have on the figures. You can also have a look here for full historical stats (read right to left -- most current totals on left of graphs).

Every game has its own memes (because of Falcon!), so what are the popular Perpetuum ones?

Thanks for these tips. I've not allocated any EP yet and don't plan on doing so until I've finished all the tutorials and fully reviewed the extensions themselves. I am finding Mark Zima's Perpetuum Planner Tool (http://www.perpetuum-planner.com/) very useful for this.

Many thanks for posting this -- I'll have a good look over it tonight.

Oh, and...

Well, this wasn't the day we fixed the server. We are going to get some rest and carry on tomorrow. We have isolated where the problem is, so we did make progress today.

I really appreciate the updates and the dedication you guys are putting into this. I look forward to having everything resolved and being able to get on and play.

This is very generous, but also makes me not care how long it takes to fix the issues as I know I won't lose out, especially as EP are still accumulating.

I endorse this product and / or service.

As an ex-EVE :bittervet: who subbed his account with ISK bought PLEX, I'd hope that it isn't introduced into Perp at this time. With such a small population I don't think that this would be of benefit at this time.

I'm one of the new players who has subbed and not been able to get on much. Personally speaking I really appreciate the effort the Devs are putting into fixing the server limit issues and at this time I wouldn't expect to be given game time as a result of the problems.

It seems to me that PO is a growing game and issues like this are to be expected and tolerated -- I'm sure the problems will get resolved!

As one of those :bittervet: refugees who have broken your server and caused mayhem, I really appreciate this post and I'm really sorry we're disrupting your game sad . I've managed to log on a couple of times and worked through the initial mining / combat tutorials and just about to start on the assignment tutorial, but I've tried to limit my in-game time to allow others to get in too. Really enjoying what I'm seeing so far!

While there are connection / user limit issues at the moment which have meant that I've only been able to log on sparingly since signing up, I'm really impressed with what I have seen already, both in terms of the game and the dev support.

We :bittervets: have doubled the PO population overnight so there are sure to be issues. I remember my early days in EVE and it was just the same. Give the PO devs some time to sort this and look forward to what will come.
