New wave of energy is hitting PIE, come join us, a true industrial corp of Perpetuum

This is similar to the achievements system but instead of giving rewards, it just keeps track of your activities.
You would be able to filter on time (past 24 hours, last 7 days, last 30 days etc).

Examples could be:
Different ore mined, plants harvested, how many times you died, damage done, various bots killed, km traveled etc.

I would put this as low priority, but if the achievements are only crazy stuff, like 'kill a heavy mech in an arkhe', then this would supplement that feature.

I do not think a robot with a different skin or some faction ammo as rewards are power items, but vanity only rewards are fine too.

Alex, you are thinking with a PvP-oriented head, in the bartle categorization (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bartle_Test) you are mainly a killer. Most of the players playing this game are similar to you and thats fine.

But, for this game to be successful we need to have content and mechanics for every player type of the bartle categorization. We need PvE-oriented players in this game that rarely leave alpha but still contribute to the economy of the game. They are mainly the achiever types. Many players who are not on beta are not logging in after a while because they need goals. Achievements are sort of goals to work towards.

Achievements should be soloable and the majority should be done on alpha. That way they could be done without the need to join a beta corporation. Beta corps are self-sufficient at the moment and there is no real market for the individuals, industrials, PvE lovers. We need incentives to motivate alpha players to kill that 856th pelistal bot and loot that kernel.

I think this system would revive the general economy and set goals to work for if you are not a PvPer. Few players like myself can set their own goals in the game, but the majority needs guidance and clear, build-in goals.

I left M2S on good terms a few weeks ago, needed time to recognize I'm too industrial for a PvP oriented corp smile

Hi DEVs,

In our corp discussions we talked about what would keep the PvE lovers interested in the game, and how to give some incentive for dull grinding, and the answer is simpler then I thought:

It would be an achievements system.

A few examples:
Mined 1mill unit of titanium ore
Mined 10 mill
Mined 100mill

Killed 10 heavy mechs
Killed 100
Killed 1000

Killed 10 pelistal robots
Killed 100
Killed 1000

Died 10 times
Died 100 times
Died 1000 times

Looted 10 pelistal kernels
Looted 100
Looted 1000

Completed 10 level 1 assignments
100
1000

Traveled 10km
Traveled 100km
Traveled 1000km

The list can go on and on, the possibilities are almost limitless.

You could also add some small reward for completing them, like faction ammo, or a niani module, and for completing a range of achievements that takes weeks to do some better reward, like a 75% heavy mech CT, or an MK2 heavy mech.

You all talk about larger land mass is needed for POSs, but the truth is I don't think that is going to happen.

If we get much bigger islands where you could hide your POSs then this game would go in the direction of being an exploration/survival game instead of a PvP game, and I do not think DEV's want to go that route.

If you are a full blooded carebear, if all you are interested in is depleting ore fields and you like chopping down plants, then reuse the materials to build something useful, this corp is for you.

We are 100% industry, 0% PvP.

We are starting to get a better presence in EU timezone as well.
If you are interested, contact me (Tamas Vitez or Tamas Kutato), Arga or Celebro for a chat.

and now you just bumped their thread, and you made me do it too smile

First of all this has nothing to do with M2S.

Second, I really dont want to go through this, and I think this is a bad idea, what I would like to achieve is DEVs redesigning the internal market feature so this would not be possible.

if we stay as it is, NeX and friends will have an advantage over the others. I would like if everybody would be allowed(or not) to use these features.

PBMX was formed to encourage more traiding on the market by eliminating taxes and limit on buy/sell orders.

It is now possible to trade tax-free, without fear of buy or sell order limits.

Corporations can join with their trading alts, but there are no restrictions on who can join, an individual can also apply.

All you have to do is join with any of your characters (best way is to join with your alt), and you will be able to use this great feature imediately.

Don't miss out on this great opportunity, if everybody else does it, you will just lose money if you don't.

Apply today !

if this is what it takes for the DEVs to fix the current design then its worth the effort

Lower tax, higher volume. And corp markets probably do belong in the dust bin of history until things improve, tbqfh.

We could all make use of this function, not just NeX and a few of their friend corps.

When I get home tonight I will make a new corp where every alliance/corp/individual will be able to put an alt in, and we will make the 'Perpetuum Black Market' a reality, where ppl dont have to pay taxes or limit their buy and sell orders with skills.

Once I created the corp I will make a public announcement, because the more entities join in, the more populated the internal market will be, so it will benefit us all.

its a soft exploit and I encourage everybody not to abuse it. Ofc nobody will listen to me but hey, at least I tried smile

I will certainly not use this to finish off my tech tree, got this far because many players put in months of hard work into it, will not jeopardize this.

Every ammo has a primary and a secondary dmg type. The primary dmg type has a much bigger impact on overall dmg then the secondary one.

Every ammo belonging to a faction always have the same primary dmg type.

Conclusion: Factions have a primary dmg type, and is different for each faction

This would help corp logistics, +1

I support this feature

We are still around, with some fresh new faces, still looking for more, more, MORE smile

strange but we are still looking for hungarian pilots smile

it might be just a coincidence, but when I saw those ghosts, the plants just regenerated in that area. Worth to investigate a bit more, maybe we can catch the pattern of terrain update.
