Re: Perpetuum Radio? (69 replies, posted in General discussion)
What's a toolbar player?
(Sorry for my uninformedness but I honestly have no idea what it means.)

Re: Perpetuum Radio? (69 replies, posted in General discussion)
@Doek
This "technicality" provides a) ease of access and b) strong association with the game (by the virtue of always being there, under the slider in the options menu).
I won't argue for the usefulness of in-game radio (I just think it's a cool idea). But other things being equal, out-of game station has less chances of becoming something.

Re: Perpetuum Radio? (69 replies, posted in General discussion)
It would be cool to have the radio in-game, as part of the gaming experience. Ambient loops taken to the next level. With occasional broadcasts of something interesing/useful in addition to music.
Stand-alone is not (interesting) enough.

Re: Sequer.nl - tools and info for Pepetuum (87 replies, posted in General discussion)
Definite list for aggregates is fragments/getAggregateFields.txt (in the planner data dump). There are 350+ of them in total, although only 150 or so are linked to items.
The bad news is, of these 150 only 40 have clear relation to extensions (via bonuses). How to relate the remainig 110 is open question (central to the development of a fitting tool IMO).
Of course it can be done manually, because the names are pretty obvious, but I vowed to never do manual data entry again.
Maybe it's time to ask the DEVs

Planner data dump has the bonuses.
I've pulled them out in SQL format for you: https://gist.github.com/1149898.
(No idea what's the purpose of "effect_enhancer" flag).

Nice, very nice. Too bad it's .NET.
Code drops and data dumps are always welcome.
Suggestions:
* Always show slot placeholders.
* Add modules initially activated. (At least those that are typically active.)

@Alexander
Market tree and icons come from GBF (btw, GBF decoder is out for a long time already, it was included with the previous planner data dumps). Where the rest comes from I'd prefer not to duscuss here.
I didn't ask the devs for data or anything else. Plobably it's time to ask for forgiveness

Re: Adding content for PVE (21 replies, posted in Feature discussion and requests)
Reminds me of my old post http://forumsbetaarchive.perpetuum-onli … 60/#p19460. I still believe it's a cool idea, just not for Perpetuum.
The thing is, challenging PvE only works when death is cheap. Otherwise you get a lot of dissatisfied players quickly.

Suddenly, new version is out. See the first post.
It's not on auto-update yet, until someone reports it's working.

Re: Perpetuum Planner (114 replies, posted in Guides and Resources)
PerpetuumPlanner is open source now (GPLv3). I'll make a french language release when Perpetuum in french comes out, but further development by myself is unlikely.
The code and data are on github https://github.com/nnemkin/perpetuum-planner
For those only interested in the data, here's direct link: http://www.perpetuum-planner.com/planner_data.zip (Perpetuum.gbf unpacker's in there too. No, it doesn't contain item data).
PS. Thanks to all for using it so far. I hope someone will pick it up or remake a better version.

Re: Multiple account creation (13 replies, posted in General discussion)
Support for + characters in an email address would solve this problem for a lot of people who use gmail. I remember it was mentioned in beta forums.
(For those who don't know: gmail redirects addresses of the form xxx+yyy@gmail.com to xxx@gmail.com allowing you to give away "different" addresses and sort your mail accordingly.)

How's simultaneously controlling multiple clients with a single input stream not macroing?
From what I can understand about these tools, they are perfect for macro-mining.

Re: Perpetuum Planner (114 replies, posted in Guides and Resources)
Optimize button makes a choice of speciality/school/corporation/spark that minimizes total learning time of extensions you have planned in the main window.
There's no fancy way to "publish" your build (e.g. on a forum), although you can save and and share your *.agent file.
Agent files themselves are textual and quite easy to read.
