P.S. Dear Hunter.

Veterans of your corp/alliance are just sitting in the TS and just talk, They do not log in to the game. They come just to discuss your past nerfed victories.

Seems you really should explain to them how you need them online and playing... Instead you sit in the forums and cry because you can't tank 10 E-wars or how now you can't own 4 stations that you "didn't want any how". Again you are proving to the community that you sir are a poor winner and loser.

that aside - theres another thing that bothers me a bit with the intrusion 2.0 system:  Stability is advertised as "buffer" so you dont have to be present at ALL intrusions of your outpost,
thats not really a buffer if you ask me... thats a fallback to alarmclock intrusions...

Gotta pay to play! Can we get the system in the game and running for a week or two before nit-picking it? Really? So what you lost your complex aura and your neighors did too cause some pirate corp came in a took a potty break while you were sleeping (wait to do all your indy stuff right before you go to bed when your corp has defended to 100% if you lose a sap while your offline just defend it the next day indy bonuses can't retroactivly punish you).... defend it again and oh guess what 100% again.

Besides that most people just looking to ninja your loots will do passive active and destructions. Then you defend one Mat processing and your 100% again.

Drahkar wrote:

Another solution Dan and I thought of is that you could convert your relation gains into items and sell them to other players. These items could be called bribes or anything else.

It would indirectly fix the problem if a player could trade his relation gains for a Bribe item that he can then sell to other players. The purpose of the item would be to give it to the relevant NPC corp in exchange for relation gains.

Other game = Dogtags...... This game combat toons should beable to give plasma for rep bonus, indy sould be able to give minerals or completed items.... Transport.... uh yeah sorry can't think of that.

All Corps working hard together to keep an Island will have no benefits, still have to pay enormous amount of NIC to the holding corp for research / production, only with the risk to be logged out, if the CEO has had a bad day.

I'm not jabbing you mobios but I think this is working as intended this will cause corps to A. move to the old beta islands where 3 corps can "own" an Island. or B. stay on the New beta with 2 head corps and some pet corps that need the 2 main corps help. I hope you trust your allys intentions on docking rights. Perhaps an old Beta Island is what some of the smaller corps in big alliances need as you can dock in the Beta Terminal always that way your never at risk of being locked out.

The system is making it very easy for small corps to keep a station if they strive to keep it and control the area. If they get lazy then they lose it, if their indy guys get scared off and can't take a passive or an active while no one is around or atleast scan it and tell the CEO aprox. when the sap will be live then they shouldn't worry with a beta outpost.

Before the Nerf you could easily fit a zenith with 2 t4 L-dmobs and t4 range extenders and have an RSA (Ewar nexus) push you to 1k targeting and 1k D-mobs at that range you could comfortably call targets and watch your screen line of mechs some with s-dmobs either pop that target or call that they have it Shorted and you could switch to the next. After the LoS nerf L-dmob became situational and very much a terrain dictates tool. I think the nerf put them in to ballance as you can still fit a very nice zenith MK2 with S-dmobs and get great range using a RSA bot. If we need logic to back it up the S-dmob is powerful short range, powerfull enough to go threw objects, The L-dmob is less powerful can't go threw objects but can travel further. It makes sense to me in some weird way.

Some footage of when L-demobs were not LoS
http://forums.perpetuum-online.com/post/38432/#p38432 was a glorious day

Perhaps, but I almost never use a T4 (or even T2) fitted bot in PvP because I cannot afford to replace anything.  I don't want to be a member of a commune corp, mainly because the one I'm in is really cool.  More to the point; I'm talking about the HUGE losses one could expect to take in a tourny of this sort.

Really? Huge losses have you checked KB's lately Corps have lost well more than the 25points in less than an hour and thrown more and more in to the frey... Price and attatchment is devalued when you give in and believe they truely are just pixals.

Ok worst case senario out of the tourney you field a Mk2 heavy first round you lose it, but your team wins. 2nd round same... Third round same ... Now you just won an nice only 1 of possible 10 in the game black special H-mech that more than would make up for the "heavy loss"... Besides every thing in this game is free if you think about it. Missions for ammo, ammo = plasma, plasma = nic, Missions for nic = nic. With nic you can do every thing it just depends on your level of input and dedication to the game. I lost a heavy while farming before fully T4 fitted saved only 4 mods. Before I logged out that night I had farmed back the nic to buy a new one mods included with a mk1 mech.

A SMALL death penalty.

That's not a bad idea actually. You can now start hating this guy lol

As if losing my T1 plated mech wasn't bad enough! I don't mind paying to "unlock them" but paying for them each time kinda seems dumb. Its like I'm paying for software if I blow up my computer tomorrow I can still buy a new one and Re-download all of my paid for programs. Wouldn't be opposed to haveing a timelimit like insurance and a extention to increase the time and decrease the purchase, also allow multiple sparks like insurance on multiple bots.

Annihilator wrote:

the idea is not new, and not easy to implement either.
Its only solving one of the two main issues with multi-tile bots: each part would be targetable seperately, but what about "turning" ?

pepetuum has no acceleration or turning rate mechanic, direction changes are happening instantly. also no collision detection between robots (or in this case robot and trailer) ....

Just have them "invisibly follow" the owner bot every where it goes even if it means the trailor floats threw vegitation. Have them deploy like a field can (combo to open, but targetable like bots/mobile TP) and let the miners drag their cargo in to them instead of the field cans. Also make them unable to re-dock(in deployed config) after deployment until recovered "emptyed" so the lithus pilot must dock empty load, undock flop trailor loads to lithus, redock empty load, undock and recover trailors.

E-war and better indy sparks that is all

WOW your really thinking out side the box on that one.

I expect more from you...more so better ideas.

OMG your making this like work

OK take each robots natural bonuses and turn them in to a spark I love E-war so dream bonus sparks would be
% ECM strength
-% ECM cycletime and acc usage
-% to hit size
% Ewar strength to supressors and ECM
% to supressor lock time and distance
% to effective range of D-mob
% of effectiveness of D-mob
-% acc usage of supressor
-% acc usage of D-mob
% to ammount drained
% to amount neuted
% to effective range of neut/drainers
% range bonus to all above
-% of self neuting while neuting
% increase to each nexus (one spark for each nexus).

You get my Idea.

My next Idea is more of a fix to the system the devs just worked so hard to make (sorry devs).
Most sparks have 2-3 bonuses. Instead of having 1 spark with 3 bonuses why can't we custom build our sparks with 3 bonuses. Make our main spark selection if we have the relations for it be our higest bonus % spark be it 5% or 10% what ever seems balanced. That would be the "named" spark then affix identifyers to it 2 more bonuses. Meaning I could custom build my spark (if i have the relations) to fit my style. Example: I choose Numiqol Em guns as my Main spark 5% to EM guns(spark name DFD Ubernor), next I choose ECM bonus 3% (designator ECM 3k), next my last bonus I choose a reduced hitsize bonus -2% (designator Evade 222) So after I choose it all pay to allow injection. On my charcter page it would say I was using the DFD Ubernor 3k/222 any one checking my profile would see that.

I think that would allow the most customization out of the spark system and would make people push to get better sparks. A system like this would also allow customization of Bots easier I know some Raple people would take the Lazer bonus, I know some Chaos people would take the Neut bonus on their assaults smile

My hope?
A small corp would has a changs to even get one outpost and beeing able to secure the area around this outpost so their members can actual USE this area for mining/farming and not just own it on paper.

Problem is there are already to many Alliance lovers that even if no feature is implemented to satisify them they will all just form a mega corp. which is sad because this feature will increase the abality of a small corp to effectivly live in beta till some alliance zergs up. Zerging will still happen. If your corp sharing an outpost after I2.0 grow a pair and get your corp its own OP. You don't need 30 active members to hold an op and you don't need all 30 online to defend it either.

The best way to get solo pvp is to use a second account ...

Old DAoC buff bot user sad

I ever had the impresion "solo PvP" means to PvP using just one robot driven by one agent using one acc ...

Not: "I am my own gank using alot of real money to pay X PC with X monitors and X payed accounts".

But well, now I know, why I suck at SOLO PvP ... I just missed to buy more hardware and I'm not realy good at multi tasking (2+ keyboards, 2+ mice and so on) *ROFL*.

Tactic is very much do-able with 1 account..... Main combat toon is logged off on internal TP in what ever bot you choose.... second toon (Eyes)on that account is in a light bot off TP @1000m preferably in a place with escape routes. your Eyes toon spots enemy either hopping in to that TP or chases your eyes to that TP you instant log your eyes and log your main and boom. Solo pvp. This also protects your main from being ganked as you can effectivly scout weather or not its worth logging in your main.

Edit: also most people with 2-4 accounts don't multi box we just multi client. Run your client in windowed mode and you can easily filp flop between the 2-4.
Hence having a decteter and a masker is easy.

This happens to me now on one of 3 clients. Always opens up at correct size windowed but 50% up the screen vertically.

The best way to get solo pvp is to use a second account w/ detector and have your first account masked. Prep your self on what you want to gank and go look for that target. If you want to gank miners you can probably fit what ever but if you want to hunt kains, plan your resists, ammo, E-war to exploit them to the fullest. Possibly an Artimis with range extender dmob supressors that puts you at an advantage to the farming kain.

Things to look out while PVPing/roaming solo;
If the target is to juicy check behind it or bewary of trap. IE loan termis with field can far away from a outpost.
If you see a robot detecting chances are he sees you too.
If enemy is behaving strange... IE. loan cammy keeps pushing in to d-mob range instead of running. Hes buying time for someone to come get you.
Sometimes smaller is better. Navigable terrain is a lights best friend and a Mechs worst enemy

also fix the horrible relations gain on combat missions.
/QQ on
Speaking from experiance ICS DFD missions with lvl 5 diplo and lvl 5 tactics specific. Mission running from lvl 0-3 and the best mission was a lvl 1 which gave .11 relation gain... now lvl 3s have slowed to .02 per mission. I'm .23 away from opening lvl 4s thats 12-14 missions I must run to get the next lvl if those lvl 3s don't drop to .01. Can this be normalized in any way. I'm not asking for 10 mission set to from one lvl to the next but if im running over 75 to get from lvl 3-4 its frustrating
/QQ off

TL:DR = Missions diminishing relations returns make it painfull to grind rep.
