A try of random spawn building:
Elite (Darkstars):
- either max level +1 solo (if the highest normal is a 3. star assault the elite would be 4. darkstar assault)
- or max level + suport (if the highest is 3. star assault elite will be 3. darkstar assault + 2* 3. light for example)

Groups:
Atm there are spawns with 2 and 3 groups of spawns where one is a bit easier and one is a bit harder. This could be expandet smile. Maybe 4 or even 5 groups?

Level range:
If the Elite is a 4. darkstar Messmer, the lowest shouldn't be 1. star Camelions. The range is just to big. Maybe a max difference of 3 levels?

Robot size:
While I understand, that you like to show, that Camelions are still usefull later ... it makes no real sense, to spawn 3* Camelions at the same spot with high level Messmers. It's 5 size-levels (camelion, yagal, arbalest, kain, vagabond, messmer) where you would need ALOT more then just 3 camelions to gain the same dangure as this 1 messmer provides.
My sugestion: stay within 3 size-levels
- ew +  normal bot + assault
- normal bot + assault + ew mech
- assault + ew mech + mech
- ew mech + mech + h mech

..

PS: don't miss understand this topic! I love the random spawns smile.
They just could be improved a little bit wink.


When you farm random spots at the moment, you end up with many different typ of kernals and some combinations are more funny then logic.

For excample the 2 group spawn in the middle of Tellessis where one group spawns a 4th Darkstar Kain and the other a 4th Darkstar Messmer.
Lowest posible spawn there is 3* 1st star Camelions.
Strongest spawn there is 3* 3d star Kains.
Somewhere in the middle anythink from 1st star small to 4th star mech can spawn.

So after 2 hours of farming this spot the typical kernal collection includes anythink
1 to 5 star small
3 to 4 star assault
1 to 4 star mech
1 to 4 star heavy mech
But no typ in any real amount (10+ from one type of kernal).
This makes a targeted Kernal farm more frustrating then fun (if you aim for 3th Assault for example you end with 6 Kernals you want and XXX you don't want at this moment).

In addition, it's very hard to calculate the difficulty of spawns.
While this example spawn has a 4th Darkstar Messmer ... he isn't by far the most dangures spawn there. With some (bad) luck you might get 3* 3t star Kains from the one group and another 2* 3t star Kains from the other where some of them use ECM, Dampener, Demob.
As oposit you might get 6* 1/2t star Camellions which are a joke at the point where you can handle this spot.

This leads to the problem, that it is hard for example to tell new Pilots, where the might find a nice spot, which fits their Extension levels.

Now to the my sugestions.
First of the range of levels shouldn't be that high. If the biggest spawn is a 4th Darkstar Messmer, the smallest shouldn't be 1st star Camelions. The bottom end should more be 3t star Assaults but more then just 3 (maybe up to 6 peer group??).
In addition, maybe the Elite spawn should be the hardest spawn posible. As a solo Darkstar isn't realy a killer, maybe combine this spawn with "suport". This could be like 4th Darkstar Messmer + 2* 3th star Messmers.

Over all, it would need a pre-deffination of something like "dificulty levels".

DAoC Keep/Relict raids where the first and last REAL PvP (RvR) I saw in ANY game and there I had LOT's of fun (longest Keep fight I ever had was ~36 hours WITHOUT break).
Anythink else is no PvP at all in my eyes and just wannabe bullshit. Nothing I will ever respect under no circumstands.

Sure, much of the real valuable stuff will be handled that way. But for example Amunition or lower Tier stuff not as it is simply to much work.

Do you checked the Amunition market lately? 1, with some luck 2 or 3 player offers for each type. In many cases NO player offers/requests. That's just ... so ... TERRIBLE wrong for an item type which realy everybody NEED.

Don't you notice? When ever a market is dead ... the game will die soon too. See Mythos, see first release HG:L and for sure many other games which I never played or don't remember. The market is the true health indicator for every modern Massive Multiplayer Online Game equal if it is a SiFi, Fantasy, Roolplay, Action or Hack&Slay.
And even if it is hated: can you imagin EvE without Market?

Without Market it is 100% equal how FANTASTIC PvP and Beta and all other goodys are. No stuff which you can buy to blow it up == doesn't matter how cool blowing up stuff is wink.

PS: we had 3 dedicated hardcore miner&producer who eat ALOT of kernals they got from all corpis. All 3 left as it was nearly IMPOSIBLE for them to sell anythink at the free market and so make compareble money to the PvE hunters or mission runners. Hell, they didn't make ANY money one month as nothing, absolut NOTHING they offerd was bought. Not even Amunition or T4 items.
Sorry, I know you all want just pew pew on fanzy Betas ... but for the health of the hole game fanzy Betas are uninteresting as long as the Market isn't working!

Sure, but Beta stuff is not the main problem.

Very limited market where it is hard to buy some stuff, to trade or sell your stuff is a much MUCH bigger problem!
The first what nearly everybody does in a new game is: Check fenzy stuff. If they see this empty market all over ... it's a freaking bad first impression!

And this is true for any type of player. PvP AND PvE guys check for pewpew Robots and guns, Miners for industry Robots&Tools and mineral market, Traders for trade hubs and hauler Bots. And as soon as they all notice: "damit, the market is close to die" ... the think twice before they subscripe or play for longer time!

Quickfix: Disable corp market until the playerbase reaches several K player simultan.
Not so nice but maybe still helpy: NPC seeds (with INSANE prices of corse). Exlude: Prototypes & Offizer  & Niani items. Just to make the first impression: "well, I can get everything ... but I better try to find someone who can build it".

OnTopic: Beacon drobs are fine.
Within a week we collected ~10+++ beacons of all type for nice corp pew pew at the weekend. And this with just 3 to 4 palyers who all have regular jobs + familys. For us this means around 3 to 4 hours on Saturday and Sunday of cool corp actions smile.
10 is not much? Well, with more then 4 collecting people you get many more. With 4 players who have much more EP you get many more. With 4 jobless singels you get many more. It's realy not to hard.

But the documentation could be better (where can drob which type of Beacon).

I never understud the fun some people have from instant-pop stuff hmm.

For me a good fight is a fight which last for minimum 5 minutes where both sides had to reload their guns at last 3 times.

So a clear NO for more DPS in any form. Not even as "I win" overhead button.

Just to run around in cycles over islands you don't need beta. Go to Attalica, round 3 times around the iceland, shot a Drone at ICS and run the next 3 cycles yarr.

While I have no problem with the actual drob rate of Beacons (get 1 to 4 each day) it would be nice to have more information where to get which beacons.
3th Darkstar Assaults drob Level 1 light/assault beacons
3th Darkstar Kains drob level 1 mech/hmech beacons
4th Darkstar Kains drob level 2 light/assault and level 2 mech/hmeach beacons

So I gus it's the same for green and orange (yellow/red).

But where do Industrial beacons drob? Didn't found any random spawn with Industrial Elites sad.


PS: NO stelth bot without propper anti-stelth modul/bot !!!
Don't know who intruduced this fail mechanic the first time ... but since DAoC every publisher should KNOW stelth/cloak without anti-stelth/cloak is FAIL!

Just two examples of games, which had no or just a very buggy Market/AH and died becouse of this:
- Hellgate:London -> NO Market ... died as it was just boring to have all this nice drobs but no posibility to trade them
- Mythos -> it had a function "search for item name" which never worked ... with around 100 different craft mats it was a pain to find the right ones

Yes, this are very different games.

But no market | buggy market -> games die

With a small playerbase like Perpetuum it's very unclever to further split an allready small market into public/corp markets (which are further split into XXXX different corp markets).

Over all the idear of corp markets is cool. But it NEED a much bigger player base to not hurt.

All I can tell you is, that I get ~75-78% from what is listed unter Materials at Hersh when I reCYCLE this rare ore.

With 79% from my formular .... it sounds right wink.

If I recycle red damaged stuff ... well
Let's say it's 85% damaged
-> there is just 15% material left
from this 15% I get again the ~77%

But yea, the result is very low then ^^.

Relation to the Green NPC Corps I mean.
4x% Relations == 4% bonus for industry (100% would reasult in 10% bonus).
You need to grind the mining missions (the industry NPC corp) for this.

Base quality of Level 2 Industry = 35%
Max bonus from standing = 10%
Recycling peer level is 5% I belive => max 50% bonus

So on Alpha you can max reach 95% in theoriy. On Beta you can get the 100%.
In reality it's not posible to reach the 95% as you would need to do Level 5+ missions which you can only do on Betas wink.

My 8 Extension + 4 Standing + Level 2 in Hersh is 40%+4%+35% = 79% (wow, thought it's just 75%).

My industry Agent has recycling 8 and a standing of 4 atm which comes out as ~75% effiziens at a Level 2 Station (Hershfield). As long as you stay on Alpha Islands, the limit might be ~85% (10/5/2).
So with Recycling 10, standing 10 and on Beta you might get very close to 100% wink.

But as there are these "rare Ore" it's very much worth to work as Recycler (even more if you do the job for a full corp).

You can find Observer, Grand Observer and Super Observer.
They are like 1., 2. and 3. Stars. Don't know if there are Observers equal to 4. and 5. Star atm but maybe they come with new Islands/Mechs (I heared somethink about a "Destroyer" class Mech).

Super Observers are realy thought. The blue Kain on Tallesis might even be a bit TO strong (I rather run into the 3*4.Star spawn to then fighting him as I had better changs to survive against 3*4.Star the against 1*Kain SO *g*).

But he was never a problem while mining. I fit LWF to all my non-combat bots/mechs and with 75+ km/h you can outrun all SOs , even the blue one which is TERRIBLE fast.

First of all you have to work out how many "Slots" the spawn has. E.g. (Two Random slots)
Then you have to work out what can spawn in each of these slots. Is it the same for both slots?

For each slot-group in the spawn.

It's going to be a nightmare.

At my private map I use this factors:
- number of groups ..... check out, how many different NPCs at a full spawn (2, 3, x)
- smallest (3* 1.Star Camelion f.e.) and highest spawn (3* 3.Star Kain)
- note the elite spawns (3.Star Assault, 3.Star Kain for example)
- note spezial spawns (3 Bronze Hauler, 2* 1.Star Messmer for example)
- spezial notes (mostly EW (Camelion, Vegabound) for example)

Yes, it take some time to gather this data. But hey, I farm them anyway yarr. So why not get the data while collecting the Kernals cool?

Btw, my main has Nav 8 only and my alt Nav 9. Both do fine and I see no reason, why I should spend 7550 (or more) EP the next time to get 5% more spreed which I don't need.

I even did some PvP with my main who just has Nav 8 and I didn't do to bad smile.

PS: yes, I hear the shouts "but but you NEED Nav 10 !!!!111eleven" ... no, you don't need it!
It's like all level 10s a spezialisation for those who want it. Other can make much better use of this EP in other extensions.
Why should my Producer, Miner or Suporter (ak Nexus Slave) want Nav 10? He he has much more use with Basic Squad Management 10.

Attalica spawn at 1000, 1700 (blue 1. to 3. star light/assaults) spawns "mighty patrician" assaults.

Attalica spawn at 1360, 990 (blue 1. to 3. star light/mech) spawns "3. Darkstar" Kain which runs totaly ignoring all terrain east into the ocean and never stops.
You might find him at Dom or Nov now (if he stops there).
PS: This spawn now has just 1 groupe insted of 2 as this running-elite is somewhere in nowhere.

I can't confirm or negate my statement but here are my thoughts about this plasma change.

Till this patch it doesn't matter if you kill a EW-light which uses LWF or if you kill a "tanky" one with reprair, armor and resitence fitted. You got the same amount of plasma even if you needed 2 shots for the EW and 5 for the "tanky".

Now plasma is more balanced around true-armor so a Tier 2 tanky can drob more then a Tier 4 EW-LWF. This change makes sense to me and I don't feel it a nerf.
As Tier 2 tanky are easier to handle then Tier 4 EW .... I see it more as a buff to all Rookies.
