I tryed some L2 with a buddy and it wasn't worth it.
- L1 are solo doable
- L1 have FAR less risk as they don't have EW (stupid ECM blues, stupid neut greens)
- you need 100 times the amu to kill the NPC then you get as reward
- the money you get must be used to buy amu
- reward is split by 2 when done with a buddy => you get less NIC peer person then L1 give you when you do them solo
- handling the L2 take much longer then rush L1s

There is just one reason to do L2: grind standing sad.

I just try all to keep the falloff bonus and NOT to get a dummy no-bonus like "need lees energy to shot their intended weapons" sad. Had to deal with sich junk for about 4 years now.

Maller anyone? (50% less energy use to fire ... but I don't fire as I don't do damage anyway!)

totally agreed. instead of changing falloff -> accu recharge, buff the the falloff bonus to 10% or 15% per level.

I wouldn't touch the falloff bonus at all as I strongly feel it is fine.

When you have a broken engine with less PS then it should in your car, you don't change the car's papers but fix the engine to have the PS it should have. And if the engine need to much fuel/100km you fix the engine but don't change the fuel tank (except you are an US guy).

The guns have a problem? -> fix the guns
Change falloff and optimal to be 50/50 with same total range maybe?

  • old Prompt: 175+60, total 235

  • new Prompt: 108,5+108,5

  • old Glipler: 310+60, total 370

  • new Glipler: 185+185

If you feel EM guns need to much AP, low it for the guns. But don't touch the bot/mech bonus!

PS: just did a quick math (hope it's right)
I used 8 for the extensions (weapon optimal, weapon falloff, bot)

  • old Prompt: 217+98,4=315,4 max range

  • new Prompt: 145,7+192,7 = 338,4 max range

  • old Glipler: 384,4+98,4 = 482,8 max range

  • new Glipler: 229,4+303,4 = 532,8 max range

Before you say "don't give em more range" ... it's FAR in falloff, so the damage is highly reduced at 532,8 if you hit at all.

Please no, just no sad.

Sorry if I have to do it, but I must do a compair.
I played Amarr since 2007 and half the ships have 5%/level less cap use for Laser while all other get 5% damage, 5%range or whatever.

It's like "sorry, you are to imba for a REAL bonus, so we give you a useless bonus so you can't whine "the other have +1 bonus, why don't I have the same number of bonis???"".

Increase BASE recharg or accumulator of the blue bots or reduce BASE AP use of the weapons they use. But do NOT implement a dummy-bonus!

Falloff is fine as it makes Autocannons/Arty an option.

Plus you force blue pilots to get the needed extension to max so they can use this bot at all as without it's not posible to apply damage for long enough. That's not good/cool/fair/whatever!

If Magnetics need 50% to much AP/shot ... fix them and half the AP/shot. Do not inplement useless dummy (non-)bonis!
Falloff bonus is fine!

PS: yes, other bot have 5% accumulator (recharg) bonus peer level ... but this can be used for ANY AP using modul (shield, EW, weapons, rep, remote stuff ... all of them). 5%/level ONLY for weapons is no "Bonus" but just a dummy for "take this so you can't whine about missing a (REAL) 3. bonus".

PS: I have the same problem of the poster above.
Normaly it starts after 12 to 20 hours after server reboot.
I do NOT get high letancy from the route!
It's more like the server has absolut no funktion for several seconds (is blocked by some hugh stuff with 200% server load). This result in no ping from server BUT it is no "lag" ... serverlaod is just to high to respond ping requests.

Overall it feals more like a memory leek at your server (not client!!) or some sort of "server get confused".

In addition there seams to be a nother memory leek but client side when you run Perpetuum for 5+ hours non stop with many market/map activitys.

PPS: the client problem can be reproduced by open/close map "M" and market ~100+ times. It first start to become slow and after some time you will crash as soon as you try to undock or teleport.

There is one realy good reason to fit Autocannons on Yagals => farm amunition/kores from Drones and Numqal Drones AS ROOKIE!

Even with bad extensions you get more amunition out of Drones then you need to kill them. Plus you get some additional money from Plasma/Loot/Kores (if you sell them). In addition you might be able to farm your first Magnetic Weapons and Amu from Numqals which saves you some NIC too wink.

There are some 1st star Spawn with Bots which use the high damage short range amunition. They can be farmed pritty easy with Autocannons on a Yagal as you have much more Energy to rep then with Magnet Weapons. And this spawn comes up to 60m which is perfectly finy into optimal of T1 and T3 Autocannons.
Some other spawns stay at 75m which is fine for T1/3 too. T2/4 has again optimal problems. Anyway, the falloff bonus from blue Bots let you do decent damage up to 100m with any Tech level.

For NPC shoting don't use T4. T3 has a much higher alpha (higher volley) with higher cycle time. Using T4 means, you need much more amunition then with T3. Your overall DPS isn't hurt to much with T3 too.

Overall I'd prefare blue bots do to the falloff Bonus which effects all guns. The critical bonus from yellow isn't noticed until you get ~10% from extensions. As soon as you hit 15% or even 20% fast T4 Autocannons with upgrades and extensions might be a realy deadly killer wink.

PS:
T3 small Autocannon 70m opti + 140m falloff
50% bonus just from the Yagal max = 210m falloff => 280m hit range with ~140m where you still do good damage.
Remember: Yagal base lock range is 125m

So you need realy good targeting extensions AND mods to reach the 280 max hit range wink.

Refaring to Smokeyii ...

What the market needs most is a stable amunition market combined with T2 + T3 equipment for basic bot fittings.
- amunition
- repair units and resitence plates
- weapons
- energy equip

It is not needed to sell T4 or even T4P, but see them would defenitly help. Hell, put T4P in the maret for 6b NIC. I'm pritty sure, there aren't many, who can (or if can would) buy the item. But make the stuff visible!

And ... do you fear a mighty Yagal with T2/3 equipment @Betas? wink

This is so true ...

Take Mythos-Online. A very cool Diablo-Clone. It has all to be a great game. Just a market-bug so you can't fulltext search. This leads to noone using the AH which again leads to a dead-market (espezialy craft-market).
With no market first the farmers, trader and crafter leave and when there was nothing to buy anymore the normal player left.
Servers are still up .... but .... who knows how long.

Same for Hellgate:London. It was a great game. It just had absolut NO AH which made trading very hard. Without trading there was no reason to keep playing after max-level and people left. We all know how it ended sad.

Yes, two absolut different game types. But market is market. No market = no game today.

And the most important market in Perpetuum atm is small Amunition + equip wink.
It doesn't matter, if the prices are FAR to high. New player just want to see it to have a goal.

It's allways posible to point out one "but I have done it".
This just point out "it is NOT normal, but when you try hard enough with heroic suport it can be done".

Perfekt excample for: you can NOT do PvP from day 1 as you are just a target dummy!
And no Nav 10 would have helped this poor little guy to survive your gang bang!

And it's a shame, that you link this FAIL gang at all!
Go to ICS and kill the Traing Dummy. It's the same effect and needs as much "PvP skill" as 6v1 full pimped v hardly full fitt.

Hell, if I had such a message BY EXIDENT, I would try all to NOT make it public anywhere!

11v1 ... well done PvP hero wink.

Right, and that's why I said "just on the quickbar" wink.

Well, that re-assigne of key bindings is posible but very confusing when you switch between Corp-Suport and Solo-Missioning or any other reason to chang your fitting.
And it would be confusing, if the equip in slot 1 is key 4, item in slot 4 key 3, item in slot 3 key 1 wink.

So it might work as "workaround" but shouldn't be a final result.

Remote Reps are "industrial" slots
Remote Energy are "not deffined" slots

So you can't put them where you like but must place them into the pre-deffined slots.

I can understand, that some equipment must be placed into specific slots as it might cause rander-problems if you place them somewhere else.
However this shouldn't effect, where I place the equipment at the quickbar.

I like to be some kind of suporter. So I fitted 2 remote-repair-units and was a bit disapointed, that I can not arange my fitted weapons and the two remote repairer.

As I plan to build something like 2 * remote repair, 2 * energy transfare, 2 * weapons for my Arbalester it would mean, that I have to press (just excample, don't know which one it realy will be):
- F1 + F4 for my two weapons
- F2 + F5 for my two remot repair units
- F3 + F6 for my two remote energy units

WE RR RE WE RR RE

That's not very comfortable sad.

I'd rather would like to "group" them like:
- F1 + F2 for remote repair
- F3 + F4 for remote energy
- F5 + F6 for weapons

RR RR RE RE WE WE

By "group" I don't mean to use one key to aktivate two!
Just to move them together so I have a more logical order.

Would this be posible @DEVs?
(maybe it is allready and I just did not found out how).

What does Nav 10 help you, when you need 5 shot to kill even the normal Drones? Nice, you are fast, but you can't make any money as you need more money to buy Amunition then you can loot out of your targets.
Not realy clever.

Same for PvP. What does it help, when you are fast enough to catch you target but then don't have the power to kill it? Cool, you can run with your squad, but that's all. Either the target is dead before you even locked it, or you die within seconds as you miss the suport skills to fit somethink usefull like plates/repper and miss the skills to get more then 1 cycle out of the repper.
Not realy clever again.

Nav 5 to 6 to start with, basic suport/weapon/bot skills to 5 too.
This way you can earn money for the first 1 or 2 weeks while you bring Nav to 7 or 8. Maybe even 9 but 10 is FAR to expensive for the first 2 month as nearly every other skill from 0 to 5 as more effect then the last 3% more speed.

I see just one use for Nav 10 from the beginning and that's if you plan a transport Agent. But then, what do you need for a Agent like this? Navigation, basic Robot stearing 4, industry Robot stearing 4. Agent finished.

PS: and please don't try to tell new guys they can start PvP from day 1.
They can be target dummys for vets, but NOT more!
It's like telling a level 1 WoW Druid he has a changs against a level 80 full pimped Warrior.

Why do PvP player allways want to nerf PvE?
Do we PvE player ask to nerf your (personal belive) damn useless (/personal belive) PvP?

You like PvP ... do it.
I don't like PvP ... stop trying to force me into PvP !!

Well, the problem with NPC Spawns realy hurts new players at the moment.

Just for excample the the level 0 mission where you need to kill&loot NPC. As new player your lock time is slow and so your changs to finish your mission is pritty low when there are 3 to 5 more advanct Player with Assault bots and Sensor Boosters.

So you start, sit in your fency little Spider .... and notice, that you need 30 mins to finish your mission as the spot is totaly overfarmed.

You see excakt the same bot 500 meter left/right/top/bottom but with them you can't finish your mission as they aren't in the red area.
And this is the real problem sad. Area bount missions, not NPC-bount missions.
If I have to kill 5 drones ANY drone should finish the mission. Not just the one in the red little cicle. If I have to loot 7 items from "1st star xxx" ANY "1st star xxx" should drob this items for me. Not just the one in this little red cicle.

This would of course need some code changings.
Check on kill "player has mission x need to loot item y related to this bot-type? add additional loot y".

I had a very similar problem when I started as fighter. I could barly buy the amunition I need.

UNTIL ...

Somebody told me, that all the Plasma NPC drob is some sort of "bounty" smile.

I allways collected it and saved it as it might be some production material. When this friendly guy told me, it is no production stuff, I suddenly had ~3 mil NIC *g*.

Now when I run a mission I procede killing NPC until my cargo is full and normaly return with 100 to 250k Plasma in my Cargo. Combined with the production mats, some drobed T1 stuff, mission bounty it's maybe 150 to 350k NIC peer run. And one run is about 10 minutes wink.

So as 4 day old fighter I earn ~900k to 2,1m NIC/hour.
Well, most time less as I browse the Market any time I'm in a Station *g*.
But it's doable.

PS: the range is so high as it's random how many good or bad T1 drobs you get. If you sell all the Kernals, you might even get much more. I use them for my Database wink. And I don't sell production materials as I try to produce some stuff by myselve.

1) DEVs do give information on a) where is the problem b) what they are doing
Both is NOT normal for most game studios and both is VERY positive!

2) They don't tell us lies about "check your .ini, get new drivers bla bla bla". They clearly said: "it is our mistake"
I NEVER saw this happen before in any other game! And it's positive!

3) Everbody should understand, that they are suprised as it first started with the mass exodus of EvE players.
So @ALL EvE vets ... you should be the last to whine about anything as YOU are the one who growed the servers (yes, I'm an 07 EvE vet too).

As far as I can calc it, there are maybe 7 to 10 Developers.
With ~200 subs till now and a month fee of ~9€ it's ~1800€/month for ~10 Devs PLUS GMs and whatever ... that's around 100€/month for each of them after you take Server/Band cost and all Pizas&Coffee they need for late night work.

Would even one of you EvE Vets work at 1:00 in the night for 100€/Month ??

I just subed for 90 days even with the currend problems. I know they are in atm but with all the DEV/GM presens ingame I strongly belive, they will fix it very soon(tm).

They heavy DEV/GM presens was the main reson why I subed btw wink.
First game, where I see them so frequently ... and that's just awesom big_smile:D.
Doesn't matter if I realy play 90 days, I just wanted to suport this fact.
And there are many games which cost more but aren't even nearly as cool as this one wink.

As long as it is for vanity I'm fine.
If the price is moderat like the mentioned 1€ for a small mech painting, 2€ for a medium and 3€ for a big one I might even buy one or two wink.

It has no real effect for the game except making it cooler.
Well, big painted Mechs might become primary targets in PvP yarr. But sometimes you might even want it as bait/tank lol.

There are just 2 important points:
- NO, NEVER, FOR NO REASON any "buy to get power" stuff!
- stay realistc with prices. 1€ for a small bot painting ... why not. 10€ ... keep it, no interest.

And wouldn't it be cool for corps to carry a unique fleet painting ? wink
@EvE vets, how many times was it requested, I can't count the topics for it.
