I think the size of the bot / mech should have more of an impact on Ewar Strength when used against a given target maybe?

Im a bit rusty tho with the whole ewar thing sad

even tho i've spent 300k + Ep on related skills fuuu

perhaps (im just spit balling here! tongue )

ECM could be a mix of LOS & non LOS.

To hit long range targets you need LOS but short range non LOS would work?

say if your range was 900M any target within 450M wouldnt need LOS but any beyond that would.

would make terrain control even more important. would allow smaller faster bots to get away or flank around due to be lower to terrain?

any way just a thought.

seams a bit easy mode if you ask me. 20 would give you a spark on nearly every island in game lol

open terrain fights are the best fights & the ones any one cares to remember big_smile

Ewar Turrets drain massive amount of energy. Even a reactor could only fuel a few at best

2-3 months of EP spent on specialization into what ever will allow a noob to start to be competitive (with most aspects of this game).
In PVP as Gunner said a with good FC, a bunch of noobs could be a force in the game. But only if they r smart.

Even Lemon & his god mode mechs can be easily taken down if you know how big_smile

Hey we have know for a long time this game was a "payed beta"

The funny thing is people think of this whole steam thing as some kind of launch that will bring in lots of new players lol

Lets be honest its not just a matter of EP. Us vets know this game so well that given a noob account we would roll any noob we met lol.

Knowledge is just as dangerous as having lots of EP & stuff.

Smart noobs will plot their way to success. *** will rush head long onto the Killboard tongue

Winter is coming.....

Do you have protection?

Lol the devs only "just" found out about this "exploit"

talk about late to the party hmm

Yes true, afaik there is still a development problem for any bot large than 1 tile, its just not possible, if there has been a progress on this matter it would be great news. This might be the biggest concern I have for this games future. Everyone will come back to try with larger bots on offer.

We have all been trapped (Devs/Players) with balancing issues of minimal concern, to most new players, maybe new content is what is needed most.

If the DEVs figured out how to make multi tile bots & seamless transition between Map Zones (being able to walk or "boat" from one island to another / larger islands) the possibilities of this game would be endless.

Oh my dreams big_smile

The rest not so sure, we have SAP loot and best missions on Beta. Nothing industrial needed the difference between gamma is already minimal. Safety is much worse on beta that the main reason I think no one actually is living there, perhaps is players mentality where a blob can jump you at anytime from across the world.

Heres the question tho. Is beta to risky or can Gamma be made to safe ? smile

* Before Spark teleport players ^ the teleport network supported efficient travel

What so by efficient you mean able to travel from one side of the game world to the other in under 2 mins with some TP routes?

The old TP network needed a change I just dont agree with the change we got.

A question that should be asked is: How long should you spend traversing an island?
aka: enter an island (by Tp) then the time it takes to reach your exit Tp (traveling by inner TP network / HWYs)

Once we have a basic acceptable travel time then you can tweak the network to reach that goal.

Actually what I see happening is this:  Perp lands on Steam, possible increase in player base slight not much, but big enough that another established developer catches the eye of this game and buys it from AC.

The complexities involved with setting a server up for yourself is mind boggling.  Joining one is relatively simple.

Importing/exporting blueprints defies the technically unsavvy, I can only imagine that modding will be all the more.  Just wish I could figure out how to 'save' configurations for rapid building components for a larger item.  (a stock cannon structure with power, shield, armor, and guns assembled with a single mouseclick, ect).

hit your "N" button & theres a tab at the bottom called "catalog" you can save 10 Blueprint to the server or save it to local & then jump on another server & upload.

look up youtube & yes it is very much an alpha but with a little bit of google"ing" most of the issues you posted about would be answered.

This game has had what 1000s of people buy accounts & train them up at one time or another & your saying to nuke all of that on the off chance at keeping new people? I cant imagine any one who has played & spent $100s in this game would trust the DEVs ever again.

Bad idea -1

Another thing is these DEVs can not produce the amount of content most Free to play games need in order to keep people playing. You will end up in the same situation as now eventually.

why not make mining towers mine the minerals, minerals would accumulate in the mining towers "hopper" and would have to be emptied by players. .. would make good targets for people to attack wink

could also take this one step further and make it the ONLY way to gather minerals on gamma... beta /alpha would stay unchanged... just a thought

You can't make a such a passive gathering resource competing with miners in alpha or beta. It would have to be materials that don't compete with miner's materials.

New tech maybe ? new minerals?

I had hoped before Gamma had come out that Colix. mining would work this way.

Being big, having gotten there when there was essentially zero conflict in the entire game, only gives you a solid foundation, it does not mitigate the rot that will begin at the core rather than being whittled away from without.  In every game one entity, one group, always attains dominance - and when it does, it always falls apart from within.
