hmm thats very odd. as i thought it might of been a gfx memory thing. see. the workaround i use is to have a second char out in the wilderness away from the terminal and other players that i log on first [as its only the first deployment to the terrain that gives me an issue if there are alot of people around the terminal].

then it doesnt matter after that first deployment each client run, as long as i have already deployed to the terrain once using the second char the game run with no problems. hmm, what you may need to do is try and organise a time when you are going to log on with a dev, so when you do and your char is in the cache they cvan moveit to a empty spot, so your second attempt will be in a clear low /zero population area[as this is something i worked out during obt was the problem on some systems -not sure why yet still working on that] then either take this char to the terminal or you can log off and make a new char and leave that one in the wilderness. and take the first back to the terminal to play like notmal [its not a pretty workaround but it works]

how much ram do you have in your pc's and what gfx card[how much memory is on it too] you are using.

lol are we blaming GG for this now, instead of using the normal portal back to earth they tried to rip one open with a mining op.

Personally I'm fine with an item shop selling items for decorational purposes as long as such an item isn't unique.

If your robot can get a special "Look at me, I support this game!" logo then that's cool as long as there's also some other logos available through other means ( for example a "Look at me, I completed this and this hard quest" logo or a "Look at me I created 100 heavy mechs" logo )

so a balance of cash shop with achievement incentives to match?

with the new squad changes, all players in the squad tagging[dmging] a single mob get credit for the kill now.

think it would be a long long time before we see something like this, but can you imagine the madness of a mech+ with one of these at t4 able to use some of the shortcuts/access routes. or a lightbot/ewar using it to pretty much climb a mountain lol

Edit : lol imagine the los issue then

1 msg every 10-15minutes is enough imo. its the people that spam every 5minutes that really p me off. otherwise i have no issue with advertising a orp, or a corp advertising its public channel for people to join to get more info/interact with a corp

all weapons need ammo , em = slugs , missiles = compact [short range] and Ballistics[long range] and lasers = energy cells [otherwise they would need more ap usage then they already do]

This game is AAA quality. But didn't cost me $50 + $15 a month like most mmo's. It was FREE + $9 a month.

If they want to bring in a little cash with an item shop I have no problem in that.  As long as I don't need to buy the extra items in order to be competitive in game.

If it becomes, he who spends the most in the item shop wins, i'll have to quit. I'm poor as dirt.

But if rich kids want to spend some extra cash for a little fluff and silly things that don't really effect gameplay, who I am to get upset about that? Doesn't effect me, negatively anyways.

It would effect me in a positive way. How?  You get tons of extra cash from the rich people with money to burn.  Thats more money for better servers.  More money for Devs time to fix bugs and update the game.  Takes some of the finnacial burden off my poor *** and keeps the costs of future expansions down to a minimum.

Its a good idea really.  Let those that can afford, pay more.  But keeps it a fair playing field for everyone by not having the items unbalance the game.

This is totally true, its the fact that all that needs to be in an item store for a sub game is fluff, anything that affects gameplay as big a money earner as it may be, will drive more players away. So i agree with this, and dont see the issue here.

To counter what the OP said:

- Missiles have no falloff, therefore their range isnt as high as others can get.
- They only do spike damage at best.  Missiles actually have lowest DPS of any type.
- They only have good range on bots.  With mechs the range is worst.

The LOS is the problem here, not the balance of weapons.  If the Devs start balancing the game based on the buggy LOS, then once they finally fix the LOS they'll have another balancing issue to deal with again.

this is totally true, its only on the light/assualts you notice a range difference, otherwise they have the shortest range, and only do burst dmg[making them low dps]. a gropho all maxed out and stuff is looking at pushing 750m if its lucky, but a seth as 1km+ with its laser and a mesmer etc.. is looking at 800+m. if you want a gropho to fire that far you need range boosters on sensor amps too because it can target that far, and they you nerf the dmg to the point that actually you arent even an annoyance to the players you are shooting at.

well it would be nice to have a solution to the disconnect before people start losing heavies/expensive modules to it. i lost a castel already[which is a meh but whatever] if i start losing expensive stuff i will be really annoyed

Luckily you can grind up a new one fairly quickly with the tutorial missions.  Just make an alt and run them again and trade everything back to your main when done.

thats what im about to log on and do right now, as i lost a bot to a dc at like 2am lol. for now with it being just light etc.. i dont mind. but if im dc'd later on in some expensive/fitted expensive i will be pissed

the other way to do this, would be to set a profile for the game, and then set letters to the buttons.

switch your map to passable terrain[radar too] and make sure you have the unpassable markers on. other then that  not much else.

because missiles havent been nerfede enough already.... but yea thats exactly whats likely to happen in the long run missiles will be nerfed repeatedly for range and los... and then damage [even more]

Yea the high los on missiles was more realistics considering its a missile.  but definately its odd right now, with lasers going into the hill when on top of it and through the hill when at the bottom lol.

When you have negative standing you only have access to level 1. but cumulative negative relation adds like like postive to affect costs and effcenicys of facilities. So -10% relation with a megacorp will mean when you go to there terminals/outposts you will notice a increase in costs to use the facilities there.

So being all crazy and raring to go with the launch. i made my chars, but then found that the game had decided to hate me. I have had my fair share of crashes and stuff in the past as most people from beta's probably remember. but over the course of 5-6 hours i had managed to be stuck logging in and crashing non-stop.

Having found the rough reason why Gargaj and CRM helped me fix the problem, and just want to say thanks alot to them because alot of teams would of just writtern it off instead of trying to make sure all players have an enjoyable experience.

Sorry for being such a pain in the butt esp. to CRM and Zoom lol lets make sure that the game keeps going the great way it has for the future

thx, thought i might of missed something

All that happens each time i go to login is this:
Select char > Loading terrain > Completes to black screen > nothing for upto a few minutes sometimes then error recovery comes up and says failed to find the dump files.

As devs are unable to move chars into terminals and only along terrain seems im pretty much buggered for bothering to do anything. As nice as it is to know theres lots of people around tm-a would be nice to see them. [as im guessing thats probably the issue.

well heres the crash dumps that have finally starting being put into the folder Gargaj but still not being sent to the server.

the missile nerf just removes the incentive to MAKE/BUY/COLLECT sonic missiles because the benefits have been removed. instead of pushing people to use the selection of missions you have created what you have done, is moved people to chemical instead.

This is because carrying a mix of missiles are just pointless in the long run [aside from smites for pvp] so instead of having a specialist producable missile we now have nothing.

And so this post is productive and not just a *** about alf's nerfs. Alf instead of the essentially 12.5% difference in explosion size [on smalls 3.5m -4m][cant remember large]. how about 3.75m so its only 6.25% difference. OR a relative increase in the range or damage of the sonics.

Thx for your thoughts on this suggestion ALF.
