Re: Content expansion - Titan ore (55 replies, posted in Feature discussion and requests)
how is implementing speed-boost highways,
'cause those highways were meant just for miners right?aren't they maybe as usefull also for roaming gangs tryin to get from one island to another, or for dudes doin PvE?
on the other hand how is reducing the regen rate (twice) of minerals, adding their ability to move around, adding roaming bots that many times spawn right outside mining fields help consume less time for a miner?
besides, if solo mining titan to sell it is wrong, and so to be taken care of, then we'r no more in a sandbox , and that's my point.
then again is just me, i'm pretty sure we have plenty more players online now than we used to have in january right(not speaking of nov/december)?

Re: Content expansion - Titan ore (55 replies, posted in Feature discussion and requests)
Honestly what's so hard to understand?
every change they(DEVs) made lately (and by lately i mean since feb 15th) was in a precise direction:
Makin the mining related activities more time-consuming.
Doing so the game lost a bunch of dudes, how many now online @ peak? 250-300?
well that's the direction they took, and this time, to avoid even more playerbase losses they added something else to the new patch, a "free for all" full reset, so that players can reroll their mining toons to pvp ones.
Why they make so? they stated it more than once, want more active players (less afk dudes), want more people doing pvp, and want more people spending hours online every day, no space for "semi-casual" players
Is this the right path?ok here i'm givin just my very personal opinion, no it isn't, game is slowly steering from a sandbox to a...well to something else, and that's one of the reasons (always imo) behind the low population of the game

Re: Episode 3 - Incoming Transmission Podcast (42 replies, posted in General discussion)
lol we made on the podcast
damn our english is so horrible eheh
the point thou is: u join IBS (same goes fr the coalition) u'r free to do what u prefer, and we won't force you to do something on a regular basis, we try to help people having fun and that's it, after years of nullsec warfare (CTAs and all that crap) we decided we don't want to do the same on PO aswell
as simple as that.
that said i'm out of the loop (i dropped my roles) so for more accurate stuff....ask janisch ^_^
thanks again for the interview guys btw

just as a hint to keep it alive:

or again
http://forums.perpetuum-online.com/topi … red-event/
two small player run event examples, both fun and open for everyone to partecipate.
Then again DEVs r working on new stuff/improvements.

Re: Perpetuum's endgame (16 replies, posted in General discussion)
I see it like this (and yes we've lived on betas and on alphas aswell, as a corp)
in the beginning was "way to easy" to catch an outpost, to make NIC and generally every aspect of the game, people who started playin during the beta, as early access or even just like me (early december) got to the "endgame" (i hate this word) pretty fast.
When a 2nd wave of players came in game they either joined the already established corps or tried to form up their own, thou the endgame was already in the hands of early comers.
Then a 3rd wave of players joined, thou in the while lots of the 2nd wave had already left the game and some of the early ones started quitting aswell
Still the people "holding" the endgame were always the same..as hey r right now more or less.
In the meantime the game added some new content (not very much), modified some mechanics (like the resources/industry patch), but no real change concerning the endgame.
All this changes, imo, made the game harder for casual players and beginners, and boring for the vets.
I'm not pointing my finger (whinings?) @ anyone specifically, DEVs have their "problems" players aswell, fact is the game is slowly "dying".
What can we do as players besides speaking our minds to the devs? well try and change our way of playin the game, a fine example is the 62nd arena, or again, the idea of not nesting on some half forgotten beta outpost for months.
Will this be enough to "save the game"? no idea honestly but at least, the guys who ,like me love this game might try and play it a bit longer, waiting for the new patches DEVs r working on.
cya
p.s. for new guys, join a corp or create one yrself, don't wait weeks, do it asap, your experience of the game might change drastically.

Re: Problems with the economy. (54 replies, posted in Balancing)
agree taxes r no problem at all, extensions don't take long to train
like annihilator i say, it's the market itself that's missing, no offer, no demand...and that's 'cause if u have 2-300 players online (@ most) u'll never have enough players to make a "player ran" market work.
The fact that only betas can provide epri and noralgis is a "plus" , yes is possible to go there and "sneak mine" some, but the risk is too high to do it on a regular basis,
so let's say about 100-150 player have regular access to beta resources, and all of them r in the same corps, which have been there (with some noticable exception) 'till day 15-20, they gather the resources and use them for their corp's usage...
last, for a market like this there r way to many modules/object/bots still offered/bought by npcs, and the ones not craftable (like most new mods/charges) don't help either.
basically everytime i produce something i say: y should i put it on the market, wait 5 days to sell it, being forced to go to the very station i setted the order to modify it (actually to cancel and redo), battling with the same 3-4 guys (there r i guess no more than 10 players that use the market to sell stuff, rest r corps), when i can simply sell/donate it to my own corp?less stress more fun for me and my corpmates

p.s. holy whatever didn't want to write that much -.-

Re: Artifact first Impressions (33 replies, posted in General discussion)
just keep up with scanning, someday you will hit jackpot
Ohhh and don't forget to come to beta sometimes
yeh that's my problem, never (ever) been lucky
and about the 2nd point, if the game don't die in our hands...i'll be back yarr
eheh

Re: A few easily implemented changes I'd like to see (16 replies, posted in Feature discussion and requests)
some r nice ideas indeed
i'd really find usefull some better assets managment tools too
remote browsing, contracts (like that other game), ability to craft etc from corporate hangars, ability to check logs remotely etc

Re: Artifact first Impressions (33 replies, posted in General discussion)
Alex u'r talking of scanning on betas?
'cause even if i don't have maxed out extensions for scanning (just lvl6 and 7) i rarely use only 6 probes to get a spot on alphas, and out of 10-12 (yes i got bored pretty soon) spots i found..the best i got was some lvl5 decoder and some puny amount of imentium
but i've never been lucky @ games so meh eheh

Re: Artifact first Impressions (33 replies, posted in General discussion)
uhm no idea i don't find this new feature fun at all, but that's of course just my personal opinion
usefull? well in some case yes have to agree but still...i'm against any "non craftable" item, xpecially charges
cya
p.s. yesyes ok the game needed a NIC sink..so they added this...

Re: Intrusions frozen until patch deployment (3 replies, posted in News and information)
Less blobs, less gameplanned events, less bottleneck TPs with "noisy" activations
more fun pewpew
and yes i don't run..if i was stupid enough to be caught unprepared and spanked..then my "enemy" deserves my trophy

Re: Roaming mechanics (comments on light ewar and stealth) (45 replies, posted in Balancing)
haven't light ewars been "nerfed" already twice?
well at least the intakt was
i'd say stop asking for nerfs, rather ask for improvements on other categories(bots in this case)
, but that's just imo of course

Re: I have bad feeling about future success of this game... :-( (149 replies, posted in General discussion)
Joining a corp helps,
joining a corp that lives on betas helps even more
nerfing (resource speaking) the alphas doesn't help, at least not the new guys and partially also the non-beta corps, unless the goal is to "force" everyone into those beta corps, that's imo of course.
so what you waiting? make a corp and join one of the corps that live on alphas and r goin to (try to) kick beta's as..s

Re: bore (13 replies, posted in General discussion)
ehehe alfri, u're such a smartass ain't ya?
given you take this out here(no idea y tbqh) i'll answer to you in here
"you corp leaders" are working on different solutions (not goin to post them here for obvious reasons).
But like some other dudes suggested you, there r plenty of corps around, you don't like IBS? then find a better one, one that suits your needs
that goes for everyone...if you'r not having fun, you'r doing it wrong

Re: USTZ corp found (9 replies, posted in Agents seeking corporations)
we do not recruit players who can't speak italian thou a hint:
find some corp/alliance not involved in territorial warfare first, will take you longer to get on a fighting mech/heavy mech, but..in the end..u really need one to have fun?

Re: PostPatch - an industrialist view (59 replies, posted in General discussion)
u're right Mara, but
in eve u know where u can find yr roids, maybe they won't be full, and maybe u could be popped , but roid belts don't simply disappear to spawn in a random location that u have to spend minutes (if not hours) to find.
Besides,u don't need mega or morphite to cook frigates (T1s) and cruisers (always T1) , now to cook light bots (ewars) you do in PO (like u do for bunch of other T1 mods)
That's just to discuss, not whining or other stuff like that
