* Change: Players killed in Arkhes won't increase your kill count on the "Most dangerous Agents" list anymore. Arkhe MK2 still counts!

Can we get this to be retro-active and remove the listed Arkhe kills so far? lol

I completely agree with the OP, and can't wait to see the revamped radar system.

I think my main problem with light ewars is, while the speed is fine and all, the lack of firepower means a tacklebot intakt will quite easily hold you down by dancing around LoS while a bunch of assaults or mechs slowly saunter over.

There seems no reasonable way to raise your dmg enough to dispatch that 120kph+ irritation quickly. This is why I am using an assault and plan to move on from basic robotics asap. A real shame tbh.

My suggestion may seem a little bizzarre at first, but it would remedy this situaion somewhat. Reduce base armor accross the board and add a small armor modifier to all modules to make up for the deficit. The idea would be that a stripped bot is paper thin, to nip this stripped tackle thing in the bud.

As i mentioned in your thread, your suggestion dose nott fix the issue your raising.
Fully fit, or not fit except for tackle, a decent Inakt can still completely dictate range and hold tackle on an assault.

So you want to make it even harder to catch ewars?

Tackling arkhes are useless half the time anyway.  The lock range is too short, lock time too long, and hp too low, to actually get hold tackle on a decent ewar.
Sure maybe a pack of them, or once in a while you get lucky and hold it just long enough for a real tackler to catch up maybe, but in general they're useless.

Whats the difference if the "tackling" bot is 20 or 50 faster than the assault?
It can dictate range either way if the circumstances allow, and the faster one can't do any dmg to you, and can't tank any dmg from you.

Both of them need some serious love if they ever want to see practical use.

I'm pretty positive they talked about this during beta, and said there would be a heavy hauler in the somewhat near future.

Thought it was gonna be called the "datalest" (not sure on spelling) or something.

I think that's the flaw in your "risk vs reward" logic. They ARE losing stuff, whether they are dropping it as loot or destroying them before that. And the reward for you is that you win either way.

What about reward for the pirate?

They are also risking (in most cases) more valuable equipment and can end up with a few miner modules?!?

Why does this need explaining...

maybe you should go play a real full loot on death pvp game instead? oh wait, they are all dead because they are BAD. have a nice day fail pirate, learn to gank and get some loot.

He didn't say it should be "full loot" on death. Please comprehend your reading before sperging.

They're talking about the ability to destroy your cargo in clicks thus making ineligible for drop variable.  Hardly saying "everything should drop always".

You could not insta-destroy your cargo in EVE.
You could only destroy things in station, and that mechanic really should be the same in this game.
You could self destruct your ship, which had a timer, but even then, your cargo was still up for possible drop.  I saw many a cap pilots self destruct simply for Killmail denial.

I think this thread needs more real world analogies to justify "right-click, destroy" magic.
Maybe try some WWII analogies....

Some sort of "recent jumps" count for teleporters could be interesting.
Other than that I think something saying "YES: people are undocked and on the island" seems kinda far.

Umm, try looking under the "News" tab.  They give patch notes there everytime they patch anything.

Everyone should get 500k EP to start, 100 million nic, and they should seed every market item for 1 nic.

This game really needs a local chat. Why am I playing a game online if I can't talk to the guy next to me? Please tell me it's coming soon.

You can talk to the person next to you just fine without a "local" channel.  There are even multiple options. PM, general chat, etc.

It's not needed at all for the reason your citing, and the other reasons there are, aren't good ones.
