I'm from east coast and getting the lag as well every since the patch.

Before the patch 150ms, very stable connections. After patch 300+ms with occasional 17000 spikes and disconnects.

first thing that came to my mind here: why not have for all the agents still being in one of the npc-corp a standard standing of at least 3.00 of that faction and a special reward bonus on NIC and tokens (like 50% more NIC and 2 times more tokens) for their missions.
If you leave that starter corp, only your the gained standing of the runned missions will count (may be difficult to implement) - or standing is even set completly to zero (because you are a traitor/deserter) - when leavingbthe starter corp a warning that tells you this should be given.
Just one possible side effect: the higher the standard relation to the starter corp less time/cost needed for production missions - good for new player experience.
Since you are not able to reenter that starter corp, those boni can not be used for advantages in PvP (corp-vs-corp meant here).

That's just asking for gold farmers or people to create unlimited trial accounts.

Aug 28th till Sept 4th Server time. Drawing held on the 5th.

Ticket price is 1m each, sent to character "kokoturtle"
MAX OF 10 TICKET per CHARACTER. Any additional amount would be refunded back to the character. Spreadsheet will be updated at least once a day. Give it a few hours if you don't see your name on the sheet.

Two winner will be announce with 70% to 1st place and 30% to 2nd place.

Prize pool is equal to 100% of the ticket sold + additional 50m

The process of determining winner will be:
Modulo of the sum of first 10 number taken in General Chat on day of the drawing by the number of ticket sold.
Repeat process for 2nd place.

For PVP, need to create more opportunity for smaller scale engagements maybe introduce Unique buildings that give different bonus or some sort of limited resources(very limited # that spawn per day) to fight over. Colixium is a first step, but it's still widely available and it's unlimited as long as people are mining. Right now everyone can just sit in their own corner and do their stuff.

Gamma is nice but if you actually manage to kick someone off gamma, chances are a sizable number of their players will just quit. Not exactly good for the game.

For PVE/Industry, keep introducing new module/bots. Maybe a new faction of NPC to fight against that have a chance to drop elite equipments or drop "crystals" that could reinforce(aka upgrade) current equipment. Better missions that involve what hunter said, assault npc base etc.

Carebears stay for the grind that might get them something unique to brag about, like +20 dragonslayer or something.

PVPers stay for the opportunity to experience the adrenaline that comes from close fights or the slim chance of winning when the odds aren't in their favor.

The only thing that is going to help this game is a constant LARGE influx of fresh blood so the bitter vets / new players have other things to do besides bittervet activities like trolling the forums/killboards or fighting the same groups of people over and over. That's kinda my point. If trolling at least keep it in game, when it gets spilled to the public forums in almost every topic it would just turn away most of potential new players. Trolling have just gotten way out of control lately, it makes the community look like a bunch of 13 year old having a pissing contest. Most peple had enough of that in EVE, fortunately for that game they have the pop to afford it. However during its early years when they had pop problems it was the helpfulness of the community that helped EVE grow and become what it is.

It's DEV's job to fine tune and bring new contents to the game which hopefully attract new players. But the community is the glue which holds everyone together and give each other a reason to stick around, specially in a sandbox game.

And this is from a player's perspective, not representative of my corp/alliance but goes out to everyone and all sides.

You still have to transport your robots, weapons and everything to the “enemy beta terminal”. It might not turn out as you envisioned, getting stuff into a beta terminal is piece of cake with current population and interzone teleport, just move during off hours.

Maybe if you make spark teleport expensive, like 10m or something.

Edit: Actually now i think of it, it could swing both ways. Just take what I mentioned into consideration.

it's pretty random, but sometimes npc do not drop cans when killed and this is on 4th tier mechs.

Maybe increase the cost of main terminal, otherwise it's a cheap way to make forward bases that's invulnerable for 7+ days.

I would like to see a way to reequip bots on the field, either by a new kind of bot or some other way. Could give a timer for changing each piece of equipment per Agent and can not while flagged to prevent abuse. Maybe also add molecular instability as well.

It could help promote pvp in the sense that a group of miners or pvers could be useful quickly against intruders and do not have to first dock up at the nearest terminal to regear. Everyone knows pve fitting is no match for pvp fittings. And those exposing their assets on the field is more often than not people pveing or mining. People would be more willing to fight instead of running or logging off if they know they at least have a chance of fighting back.

Also fleets can change and adapt to enemy strategies while on the move, providing a more challenging environment for all sides.

If we want something more ambitious, being able to redeploy bots would be even better smile

Thought it would be worth mentioning since you guys are thinking of adding more bots and equipment with upcoming patches.
