Sheilds are broken this is my view of why, No longer does niumqol beat pelistal since they can drain you with there sheild up tell the low accume nuimqol has is gone then drop there sheild and kill you. niumqol does not do enough damage to drop there sheild with guns therefor it is now required to have another green bot to counter the green bots on the field. Currently it is rock beats sissors and paper beats sissors the cycle is broken due to sheilds.

You are suggesting that if mechs are useful in Intrusion event then they're
useful in general pvp too. Well here is my thing, they're not.
At least at the moment. Not as far everyone is using light bots.
But why the hell not? They are cheap and effective.

The problem is 99% of the game isn't intrusion events. So anytime that isn't intrusion light ewars are the best and even during intrusion you want half your force to be in light ewar. Seems unbalanced to me. There are light bots, light ewars, assaults, mechs, ewar mechs and heavy mechs, but 95%+ of the time you should be in a light ewar for pvp. I know we don't have the EP yet to make mechs effective, but the large disparity between light ewars and light bots or assaults is alarming. I can't even catch a sequer in my loaded waspish.

If ewars were half as effective as everyone here is making them out to be, then intrusions would consist of only ewar bots.
That's the bottom line.

More health won't help but they are really lacking armour too.
Yep, the truth is mechs are combat-unimpressive, expensive and they die too fast.
Yes you can make them tank if you sacrifice all your dps and speed - but what for?

Squad leaders should have the option to mark the enemy target (NPC or Player).

For a competitive specialized Assault combat char you need ~50k EP total. It is less than a month of playing, i think i is balanced for new players

I agree - I spend too much time just to travel from A to B.
Long walks are not fun factor at least to me.
However changing moving speed is bad idea balance wise - create more complex local teleport system instead. [Except on Beta islands.]

Go hunt with your Sequer friend, bring field container, deploy field container, pick up everything - put into field container - when you are done with hunting ask your friend to haul the items to a base with nice recycle plant (lv 2 or above) if u have alt with recycle skills thats an advantage if not nvm. Recycle all the stuff - sell the mats, sell the kernels, sell tha fragments -> Profit.

Actually I CAN hit with lasers and yes its very hard for me to hit the ground.
Seems like I just get used to it (the big bad LoS).

faction have only influance on your primary weapons extension (1 2 point only) , and that's all !
so you can join your friend where you want, join what corporation you want and enjoy the game without limitation.

Lasers are great.
LoS need some finetune tho' (can't wait the 'omg lasers are OP' topics after it gets fixed)
Magnetic weapons also have LoS problems.
