We all know deep down where to draw the line, but some keep lying to themselves. We never justify ourselves for doing the wrong thing.

The line is for the Devs to decide and draw, not for 2-3 mouthbreathers that happened to visit their office or play in Closed Beta to decide for the Devs.

You're slipping into old habits, developing features for half-a-year (or more) while players stop playing the game.

Every so often you acknowledge your failure and swap to a fast cycle of feature-patches every 2-3 months, which sees some success and more activity in the game. Then you start thinking you're smartest again and revert to mega-feature 1 year in development, and everything goes dead.

If it can't be developed, tested and released in 2-3 months, postpone.

It's extremely hilarious how NPC's can't path through walls and wall gates, so instead they teleport to you. lol

NOBODY LIKES YOU ROVOC.

Except Gunner.

And me.

Yup, remove liquizit and HDT from Alpha and move them to Beta only.

In 2 years the current stockpiles might deplete enough for there to be a demand, but at least it's a start.

There's nothing wrong with plasma, its the volume and the mechanics being farmed on Alpha with no risk by botters.

I could have a few accounts farming plasma 24/7, I'd only have to check back every 7-8 hours to restock ammunition and empty the loot can, plus relog the accounts every 24hr but that can be automated easy peasy.

Annihilator wrote:

plasma drop system was implemented as stupid risk vs. reward system.

1. weak player should try to gather plasma on beta, under the risk of getting shot down
2. strong player should try go kill weak player to get plasma as reward
3. biggest rewards are granted to those who can hold and lock-down a beta outpost

thats how the trusted advisors of the DEVs (Styx, Siddy, Blackomen) though of it as a good system, without a single hint of self-serving interests.
And, a decision made 4 years ago, can't have been wrong, can it?

given that Syndics requests to make PvP islands more attractive, all go into the same direction, they can't be wrong either, can't they?

While it's laudable that you attempt to comprehend what I'm saying, rehashing my words to fit in with your faulty point of view is not.

Perpetuum needs a logical chain of progression.

Beta needs to be NOTICEABLY superior to Alpha to stimulate new players and new corporations to venture out there, or join established alliances, or make their own alliances. The current incentives are not enough, we've been saying this for YEARS and Zoom you have ignored it for years.

You can't have a game built around the apex income faucet being chinese farming or botting "low level mobs" in the "noob zone". You end up with all the vets taking over the "good" spawnpoints and the noobs end up with nothing anyway. Even better when the vets are running bots on those spawns.

If you can't have a good anti botting system, you need to remove static spawns from Alpha not in X months, but yesterday. And remove all the NIC injected into the game via millions of vendored plasma from botting for the last 3 months. Look at the plasma sell rates for the last 6 months, its absolutely gobsmacking ridiculous what you're allowing to happen.

Players want good, fun, engaging gameplay not this copypasta of how farming used to be 15 years ago in MMO's.

Can't beat that argument.

-1, epriton is the only reason to go to Beta.

Dropping standard terminals on Epri fields for safe mining isn't fun or risky, its an abomination of carebearism.

Gamma solves all noralgis shortages right now. Other incentives are needed besides ping-ponging epriton off and on gamma for the Nth time.

The botting kind.

Yes. But also honest miners who took some minutes to browse cat gifs between changing tiles (I don't blame them), and first time newbies trying to do their initial steps on alpha, oblivious to everything else like a toddler in a bear pit.

Sure.

But it takes less then a week to solve honest miners browsing cat gifs, still a year and counting to solve blatant botting on Alpha.

A year of botting vs insurance fraud?

4. Adjust plasma price to 275 Alpha/325 Beta NPC and Gamma/375 owned Beta outpost at 100 stability.

Less incentives for botting and hiding on Alpha, more incentives for playing the game and competing.

I see what you did there ... you just want to hinder Alpha players and provide bonus's to Beta and Gamma players to do the beacon farming with plasma bombs and arkhe's again ... go figure.

Perhaps you would prefer 'God' mode  too?

Do you feel that if a player wants and ONLY desires to play on Alpha doing w/e they want you should punish them for their play style?  (I am NOT referring to botting being acceptable by any means)

The way YOU play is NOT for EVERYONE.  Quit trying to force players that want NOTHING to do with the other islands to be on them.  That will surely lower the already low population.  If / When they are ready, they'll go there.

-Ensi

Players operate in perfect safety on Alpha, and profiting from perfect safety should NEVER be even remotely close to what players can earn in dangerous areas, otherwise everyone puts 2+2 together and runs scripts/bots/afkminers on Alpha.

Sniveling about poor players that only want to play on Alpha is just laughable. Who wants to pay 30$ to log into a game, go sit at a spawn for X hours and intermittently press R and spacebar? Such players don't exist outside of Chinese sweatshops. Even Russians got their own bots and scripts sorted out, that's how "fun" PVE on Alpha is.

Population will never grow as long as the most profitable thing is to sit on Alpha, grinding spawns until the players grind themselves out of the game.

Zoom, what kind of a player doesn't notice a Tyrannos approaching him surrounded by tons of red dots at ~40kph?

The botting kind.

They can either build to be a game that benefits active corporations of many players enjoying the game, or they can keep it a russian 1-man corp botting paradise like it is now.

They only complain when they get a taste of their own medicine. lol

I'm not whining, you'll have to do your 20-hour-a-day botting for 2-3 years before you get to the point we were at after one of our beacon-ops. lol

Until then enjoy the arkhes, they'll be there every day all day. lol

Dirty botters like you are the last person to talk about using bugs. Especially with a CHAOS tag, or did you forget how you broke Hunter's base? 100% legit right? lol

Your words, and your playstyle doesn't connect. You say there is only one valiable option, but then when you play that options, you always explode...

I take acceptable losses while winning with the only one viable option, you score a few kills then lose everything and whine on the forums.

The biggest problem this game has is horribly slow development.
