On the pvp islands, your better off with an assault bot. Your game pretty much caps out there if you never plan to leave the alpha islands. On Pvp islands Mechs make farming other mech npcs much easier. They just "SUCK" against smaller targets. I do however agree that smaller bots are being made too strong vs. larger bots.

I believe that FFXI's EULA or TOS stated that if you took Square to court you had to defend them at the trial.

Wow. Good thing EULA's never hold up in court. At least here in the US.

Agreed,
Thanks mate, Win or lose I hope our fights are fun for both sides. As for calling us a Pet, mehh call us what you want.. I won't cry, Nor flame you or your clan. I wish you all well and look forward to the fight on the field. I care less about Forum wars and smack talk.

Just do me a favor can you say "good fight once" win or lose?
=S=

You've been fun to fight, never had any really significant fights with you guys that I can recall off the top of my head, but the small skirmishes are always fun.

As for the pet comment, it's not entirely inaccurate. But yeah I tend to think of pets as corps not capable of defending themselves. Which I don't think includes you guys.

We're hoping you guys get strong enough to be a force to recon with on your own is what I'm saying. We need some "honorable" corp to fight against us bunch of "anything goes" kind of guys.

My favorite thus far.

Followed by the Gropho, it actually sounds big when it moves.

My half troll attempt half legitimate topic for the day. (I was falling behind in the M2S quotas)

I am annoyed by the pve islands being all safe and whatnot. Please remove them immediately.

On a serious note, this has to be one of the dumbest things I've seen in an EULA. It effectively bans everything. Thanks to Alex for spotting it.

Edit: Correction, second dumbest, one EULA required that everyone give the devs their souls.

Sadly this game does not properly scale effectiveness vs. cost of bots. Bigger bots are more powerful, but only by a very tiny amount. 2 bots of a lower class will always kill a bot of a higher class. And those same bots combined cost 1/4-1/2 of the bigger bot. If you bring 10 mechs and they bring 10 assaults to a fight, the mechs win. To be honest, the only "real" advantage to mechs over assaults, is their range, and that can have a huge impact in pvp.

Bigger stuff is better, but only by a minuscule amount due to dispersion and apparent inability for spaceage technology to accurately hit over small distances. Even though modern weapons can travel 200km and fly in a window at 900mph without scratching the sides.

Dount they will make it in, but it's a cool idea. Sadly I see them either being overpowered, or somewhat useless.

They would either be 1-hit kill. Or not really make an impact. (Doesn't take long to rep damage.)

It would be very effective at keeping advancing tacklers at the back however, and having the heavy stuff up front to take the damage. I really do thing it would make an awsome addition, so long as they are only usable on player conquerable islands. (aka the new full pvp islands.)

Meh, pvp is sparse these days, so few things to shoot. I can't say I blame you for wanting that kill.

It'll come sooner than you think, especially when you go for heavy mechs. (Level 8 racial robot control)

Funny thread, however that video was exposed as a fraud. (If it wasn't obvious enough already.) They have boards an inch under the water chained to the bottom.

I'd like to add onto this the need to be able to lock/target squad members via the squad window.

Don't suppose you were around for the non-despawning wrecks/containers patch. And blowing up the containers created some very "interesting" special effects.

Anyway, nice pictures. Somehow I imagined CRM and Mancs looked exactly like they do. Was a bit surprised by Gargaj however, not even close to what I imagined.

And since we have picture links already up, here is one other funny perpetuum related pic.

My accounts that I'm doing nothing but storing ep on would love this, the playerbase at large will likely hate this.

And a year down the road when I have 1,000,000+ ep what kind of crazy income to ep would you think I'd be getting?

PS: I fear I may have been trolled by my own corp. lol

Yes we play the role of the villains, no alliances, no NAPs, just shoot everything. (Occasionally including Siddy.) And from the looks of the hatemail and flame posts, everyone else sees us as the villains as well. We are currently the most organized pvp corp around.
