I wanted to say thanks for the fun times and the memories. Good luck in what you do in the future!

Btw not a word about Armor Nexus changes. Will it change to provide resist bonuses?

The underlying system would need to be changed so that's delayed for now. I tried to do it, but as the system is set up now, it's not possible. It would need 4 separate nexus effects for all 4 resists, and that by itself would max out the 3 effect limit on one robot.

No way to have a single module apply 4 different effects? big_smile

I have played a little bit. I like how they are approaching things with a fresh new take.

I can buy The Secret World, an AAA mmo game for 30 USD on steam.

Reduce the price incrementally until you find the sweet spot that people are willing to buy in (steady) and you guys can still live on.

Why what happened?

The Swiss let a safety net on the euro drop in favor of the Swiss frank. This let the euro plunge and the frank went up.

I hope none of you have any loans or any debt for that matter that was backed by the Swiss Frank.

Playing Archeage for casual play.

Made the transition back to DF:UW this weekend.

They have done some really good changes to the game now with the new role management system. A new layer to the crafting system with lesser Quality items that are gathered and turned into the higher level. UI is much better now too.

They also added in D.U.E.L (ice/plex).

Keeping an eye on https://albiononline.com/

albiononline.com is looking pretty good.

All,

I have come to the decision to move on. I don't see myself coming back to the game. It has been fun and met a lot of great people.

Good luck and have fun!

And as to the original post on mmorpg, I just don't see how airing perpetuums dirty laundry on a widely visited gaming site is going to do anything to help this game. Can't say I would be standing in line to play a game that has a community labeled "Toxic".

But I guess I am old school, I don't believe in talking about family problems in public...

I had not heard about EVE Online until I read a post about the GMs favoring a specific group in game and all the fall out from it blah blah blah... and I ended up playing the game for 4 years.....

Its amazing what a bit of front page adverts that aren't boring game banners can do........!

Going on 800 hits now.

Gremrod,

Your idea of what poison is truly is remarkable. Developer Zoom wants to remove sparks to help with the power projection issue that exists in game. You and your corporation oppose developer Zooms decision. While the rest of  Perpetuums player base supports that idea.

The reality is your corp fears Zooms decision to do so. Thus a reason of why you and your corp associates think the player base is poisonous. Perhaps towards your corp. But definitely not towards the developers of the game.

So for the average mmo reader who reads here. You now understand what it looks like when a corp and its members go against the game and the player base who support the Developers. All over power projection of that said CORP!

Now thats funny!!!

What I find funny is the fact that I started this thread

before making the blog mmorpg post.

Well glad you agree and I am not saying you are the poison. The community in a whole can be poisonous. I could have gone on further to explain in detail by what I meant by the term poison in my blog post. But catchy titles and posts that are not walls of text seem to go over better on mmorpg.com.

I get what you're saying and I agree with the fact that it can be, but for different reasons than you suggested. Other than Jita and I (and every once in awhile Jelan, although he just likes to twist the knife) there's no one else from our side that really have opinions. And every time we bring one up it's met with derision and ridicule or outright dismissed simply for our corp tags. The best thing I can say is that I've never heard Jita bring up EVER anything to do with killing the game, running other corps out of the game or anything but a desire to see Perpetuum grow and succeed, and I can't say the same for your leadership.

I completely understand.

You're right the dev team doesn't need to fix the community it will correct itself sooner or later. But they have never given a clear picture/vision of their goals or end game. They have posted what they want to do next in the short term. But they never give details on how they perceive specific aspects of the game working.

Do they want one entity to control the entire game? I doubt they do, but we have not heard them state specially.

You've already gone down the path of the dark side and your posts and topics have showed that over time you've changed and are only interested in what is best for your alliance and it's infallible leadership

So posts like this have lead me done the dark side?

it appears a rainbow of people from both sides agree.

Gremrod, people are not going to take this seriously with your corp tag. Good ending and I agree with most. But calling the community poisonous won't win you many friends. I am certainly trying hard to put my POV across, on what in IMO is best for the game, because I care about it, unlike your corp.

Well if I am calling the community poisonous and I am part of the community I am calling me out too.

It is up to the individual to look past my corp tag and realize the other stuff I have done for the community and game. If they can't look past it then there is nothing I can do about it.

So where exactly is the poison. This seems like an ideal deviation from the spark thread discussion. So everything that's against CIR or your opinion should be called poison now?.

Dev Zoom was willing to remove sparks on beta if we chose to. I appreciate the Devs taking the time to discuss this with us. I don't see the poison, just disagreement on some aspects of the game. Anyhow I agree an overall vision on their next Dev blog should leave it clear enough. Although this should cover it for now: http://www.perpetuum-online.com/Features

Celebro,

The poison I speak of is the fighting that happens like what is going on in this thread now. DEV Crm wants to make a game and more than a game. He wanted to build a community of online players that would contribute to it and make it a breathing living entity.

But from what I can see it has turned into a forum fight of you did what and who is to blame for this and that....
