Just permanently ban Ville from forum posting and witth the extra time you will have not moderating the English forums, you could run and moderate a French, Chinese, Russian, Ukrainian, Swedish, and Canadian, sub forum.  Hell even run a sub forum for the one dude from Sri Lanka who plays perp.

Ahh nice! It's not accessible while on terrain though, correct?

Afaik, It appears the only way you see your researched modules is from looking at the Research tree.

Could there not be a toggle with simple a text listing of Tier researched mods, and available to research?

Basically include a text tab on the research window that shows available mods, exactly like the Kowledge Base tab that used to be in the Production Section of Player Profile. Far faster to navigate than jumping thru 6 pages of different tech to see if you have the production ability for a certain mod.

Apologies if someone else has brought this up.
Other than this love the new research patch.

Reading this thread I say ..

-1 to Sap loot cans for Station Owners only. Free for all gives any noob a chance to hit a big payday, and forces Station Owners to actively defend the can just in case ..

+1 to Epi on Beta.  Probably the best overall suggestion to revitalized Beta importance.  The mission system will be changed, and once you have enough Tokens for tech and loot and your 6.0 sparks station ownership and access to missions is not all that important. Everyone needs epi, Martha explain all the best reasons and effects of it being Beta only.

-1 to being able to decon and recon a terminal while in reinforce.  Seriously, how hard would it be to be able not to do this while it was in reinforce?  Would solve the immediate problem of doing this to thwart a Gamma takeover.

I think Gammas are currently unbreachable only because of population. With some strategies, the fanciful "500" noobs would actually work with current game mechanics. I'm not explaining why I think that.  More realistically an attacking force of 50 vets should be able to breach any Gamma.  Gamma is currently designed to not be able to overrun it in one swoop, primarily because this is a 24/7 365 game, and losing a huge investment while sleeping would kill subs.  It needs to be hard, but not impossible, And it isnt. The key with the 500 noobs, or the 50 vets is strategy, but also investment. If you dont have 10 days of commitment from all involved, you're not taking a gamma.

-1 to Darkfall. It looks like that game has been in development longer than Perp has been out, cost $40 up front and $15 per month ... and has no mechs.

Free advertising for Darkfall, 10 days after release. Looks like the greeks know a few things more then hungryans. smile

Dunno, you read the comments under that link and that game doesn't have a lot of favourable reviews. Considering its $40 up front and $15 a month, and offers the same full loot drop experience as PO, it makes PO look more attractive.  If that sets the bar, and AC gets their *** together, Steam may actually work for PO.

Hmm I guess I should have said Trial PvP instead of Noob in the title ....

Hey trials ....

Yesterday this character went for a stroll across Beta, talked in general and was able to find a fellow to engage his T1 fit Yagel. The fight itself was excellent, thrilling even, and quite close, down to the last shot.

Fun times for a character that has exactly 60 EP invested so far. I do have a main character. This one was create a few months ago and has simply been collecting EP for an eventual extra miner character. To date Entruix has been only a forum warrior. My main purpose yesterday was to try and see what its like for new people and trials to do anything in game with low skills and low money. Like pimping, it aint easy. That said one of the questions I see from newer players is how soon can they PvP ...

Most correctly think they cannot go against experienced and greater skilled players, the same issue exists in the space knock off version of this game. But that shouldn't mean new players can't experience it.

I cannot always say when my gametime will be but I am happy to offer to any new players, Entruix will fight you. I will not spend any EP on the character, so you would be fighting someone your equal, or more realistically with much less skillpoints invested than yourself. My purpose is not e-peen, and in real life I have a small ***, (just getting that out of the way right now) I am offering this to new players as a means to give you a taste of the best parts of this game. I will be happy to give you help and suggestions before you come out, If I can help one person to like this game enough to give it a long look then I am happy.

New players are welcome to reply here, or message me ingame.

Please note: This is not offered as recruitment, you wont know or guess my main, nor are anyone I encounter in game know who runs Entruix. I don't care which corp you join, most in game that are left have decent players, be it the SovNov, Dom Holders, Nebs/STC group.

This isn't about politics, its about trying fits and understanding mods and blowing me up, and having fun.

Also ppl need to understand that this is a MMO and we just rent to play,  the devs decide the changes they believe are necessary and not because we ask for them.   They are nice enough to ask for feedback in some occasions but they don't have to and its good that they are not doing everything ppl ask for because that would be just dumb.

Someone gets it. +1

Edit: Keep forgetting which account is logged in, oh well you'll figure my main out soon enough if you haven't already.

Nice, looks like lots of little but needed fixes, thanks. Cant wait to log in and see.

Good job smile

Hi. I am an important player. Because I currently don't have any invesment into Gamma, nor do I play on Beta, or mine, or run missions, I am happy to call for nerfs to all of these because none of them affect me right now.

But hey, I just care about myself, not the game.  The game should cater to me, I shouldn't have to play it.

^^ Seems to be a popular theme lately on these forums, more than usual.

People still havent figured it out yet.

If you were Top Killers, you would have taken the time to really look at it.

missions and multi beacon getting patched soon anyways, too bad really,

people had to open their big mouths on the forums, Lemon, Merkle, Hunter, Martha etc. etc. etc.   blame squarely placed on you -  (im not talking about this thread, im talking about the other ***hat threads you all posted *** and moaning about small details related to the beacons and missions  blah blah and Martha telling the world about 1 billion a day, whatever ---- keep your mouth shut next time)   This would never have been looked at otherwise. Brilliant.

I am glad its getting 'balanced'/fixed AKA the Perp Sledgehammer,,,,,  Its all game breaking anyways ----

Thanks for the infinite money and infinite subs - too easy

oh, forgot, thanks for the infinite tech too.  lol

Top Killer = Mouse Slayer, just sayin'

Also, Me.

Don't worry Top Slayer, the perp players are an enterprising bunch, we will figure out how to continue the Nic gravy train ...

Making Devs having to read every single self serving troll post is a pain in the ***, and a waste of their limited time, but you already know that tongue

Dev Zoom ... not an accusation, just an opinion wink

If history is any criteria for making an informed opinion, I'd bet there's a lot more cans of worms behind the stage.

If trading accounts is suddenly legit due to the low level of subs, how can they ban someone who throws $100 on the game every month? This opens up an entirely different can of worms unfortunately, in the meanwhile the show must go on. smile

*** It will always be a question Devs in any game will have to deal with ... conduct of players who insist on pushing grey areas of games.

Let the Devs deal with it.

There are too many forum player Devs as is right now, pushing their own agendas against other players simply because it will give them an advantage in game somehow, rather than truly caring about the game itself.

CIR/PHM yapping about multiboxing/shared accounts/ and exploits is about as timely as Lance Armstrong talking about being drug free.  But with less credibility.

And try and do a Google of what the EULA really is and how it's in-forced.  You will find out in most cases its more of a "guide" that the originator can change, but you have to re "I Agree" however.

Basically make it legal or start banning people is what usually happens.

Myself personally I'm quite fond of the "immortal soul" clause.

Arrogance lead to the destruction of many.

Irony Overload detected.

I wish they'd start enforcing it and banning people for repetitive troll posting but meh ...

Any Idiot knows the EULA is there for the Devs to use as needed to enforce the general rules of the game or when blatant exploits occur. No Dev wants to sit there and monitor every single literal minor infraction and punish for it, they would rather the players understand the spirit of the game and play along, play the game as intended, and not jump up and scream and cry about EULA this or EULA that when the real reason is the game simply is not going well for them.  Devs have better things to do like improve the gamecode and features.

Not sure what OP is talking about. All types of PVP/conflict has an objective.

What Phalanx means despite a killboard that shows horrendous losses, they don't just fight for killboard stats. They will take great losses if they achieve their objective. For a new(er) corp willing to sacrifice this is commendable.

PHM should probably put out the same message.
