thank you for your contribution but spark teleports are a way to move your character only, and cannot be used to transport anything, so you are either trolling or missing the point of this request.

This is what I/we wanted all along.
The DEVs just werent willing to concede that the idea is bad.
We get a nerf to it for now, which I'll take as better than nothing.
I agree, though, just remove sparks system... Done! The End of this crap.

In the old days if you wanted to go somewhere you walked there, which typically resulted in 5-6 hours of roaming empty islands and still needing 30-40 minutes to get back home. SpT and interzones were brought in to combat precisely that time investment prerequisite for meaningful game participation. But as with everything that get's implemented, it was implemented haphazardly with zero consideration for what evidently more intelligent people were saying.
Issue 1: Force projection
Instantly jumping between 10/5/? locations for a laughable price with no cooldown? There's batshit ***, then there's this. Increase the world size, then turn it into a fish bowl with the few fish swimming in circles while the cat looks on.
Issue 2: No consequence
Did I mention no cooldown? As in, it's irrelevant if there's a fleet outside your station, spark away for an hour and mine a bit until they get bored & leave, then you can spark back and carry on w/e you were doing?
Solution: Kill it with fire
Whoever came up with this brilliant idea and didn't consider what long-term effect it would have is an evident imbecile and has no business making decisions. Unfortunately, since the afore-mentioned unidentified imbecile will no doubt keep making decisions, the only applicable solution is to tick on a cooldown on spark-jumping (8-12 hours should be sufficient, alternatively make it 24 and tie it to a new extension that ultimately reduces it to 14 hours).
Without that, the only thing you're doing is marginally increasing the fish bowl so the poor little fish have to swim a little bit longer. There is still no consequence for sparking to the wrong place at the wrong time.
TL;DR
Told you so, a long long time ago in an IRC far far away.

It does not fix the problem over A or B, as simply put. By strategically placing sparks in the correct location, most of what is happening now can still be accomplished with very little more effort.

Its going to be a pain in the *** for joe robot guy in gamma who you want to augment your force with.
For pvpers, its no prob.
But! People have to think about it now and decide. (scary huh?)

Many thanks for speaking in this thread and the ideas put forward. While I do not speak completely for TOG, I agree that we need to spin from a time consuming to a nic consuming objective to wall maintenance. We do not have a issue with the wall maintenance and in fact were surprised it wasn't there at the start so Corps could plan for such a thing.As feedback, in future when introducing a new game mechanic you announce the entire mechanic even parts of it that are coming(tm). This will prevent these types of threads in the future. A little communication can go a long way.
I believe you and the other Devs understand the concern the players have with the sudden change. So thanks for that. So from my perspective -
1. Vote No to removal of walls. We are adapting to the metric with a full understanding of what is needed and what we have learned over the last week or so. We maybe broke but we do not want the time wasted planning and building to be in vane. I'd rather grind nic than grind wall repair lol
2. Tweaking of the way walls are repaired, happy with what ever idea you have to change from time sink to nic sink.@anyone that states Walls have stopped roaming/PvP. You serious? You must not be on Beta, because we have had more fun in the past week in TOG Corp then for months before hand. It has brought our Corp together like I have not seen in a long time with a goal and enabled us to have more PvP then ever before. Roams arrive daily, we have seen new ways of how the others are getting through the walls, how they are adapting to the changes. When Beta comes to it, we are pretty new and all admit to being noobs. But we are learning and we will try and make it now and bring more PvP to the server than just our roams in the past. To those complaining, what have you done to improve PvP in the past week other than troll in the forums?

The upkeep change isnt the problem.
The problem is the 2+ Billion spent on walls and wall items with the expectation that they would do what they said they would do.
The upkeep change is a good change, but the week of testing was done on the wallets and backs of only a few.
Those few would probably plan and design much differently knowing there was decay or just loss of those items in about 30 days.
Most of the people here never even placed a wall unit nor did they see what some of the other players put together.
Walls should have some sort of upkeep to them. Walls provide a great benefit to beta island stations....everyone wants them but don't want to give the time and money to upkeep. If you don't want walls, then let them degrade and everyone can run all over your island with no worry of walls.

PS: You have no business assigning motives to ppl's post to try and benefit your case. I don't speak for Hokk, I don't even speak for M2S. I'm just another player, trying to be objective about game balance because I want a healthy Perp. Maybe you should try the same.

Binding anything to outpost/intrusion mechanics is not future-proof at all, so that's not the way.

With all due respect, you can't be serious. It's not that we don't believe you, it's the conspiracy theories that would emerge after that by all the other players in the game.
As said, yes, we can reimburse all purchased walls, but that means we have to remove each and every wall from all islands. The question is, will those who don't want their walls removed agree to it.
