OP: Your concerns will be addressed when outpost docking access can be locked down and the Devs have said that is part of intrusion 2.0.

Leave the timers the way they are, they were silly before.

well, there it is, with no change to fitting, its just a straight nerf.

Lights and ewar with T4 are going to have to watch terrain, if you trip on a rock, you could kill yourself.

going to be interesting to see how the weght increase on weapons and reduced hp's work

Everyone will still fit a T4 LWF, no changes at all.

Arga wrote:

I think what the well known part is they talked about the progression of t2-t4 lwf, that is it was always better to use the T4 since it had no downside. A post of the new bonus/penalties for each tier will clear it up.

20/20/25/30 reduction (No change)

Only difference is T2 frame has 20% demob penalty vs 25%, all frames HP penalty increased.

We will run your adds on Syndicate Radio nonstop wink

It's more like 30% if you have to use numbers:

afaik NEX, 62nd, M2S, TOG,F-Navy, Morte and FOOM are not in the alliance, and they make like 60% of the game world/active players big_smile

MORTE is a recruiting corp for a Nova corp.

NeX has lost the majority that came over but stil has a decent prescense, as was expected. FOOM is tiny as of now.

Point is you are exaggerating your claims heavily.

What's a toolbar player?
(Sorry for my uninformedness but I honestly have no idea what it means.)

She means something embedded in a browser that does not require an OGG codec to be installed like iTunes/WMP does.

Probobly Java based like this: http://www.jcraft.com/jorbis/

Simple but effective and only requires Java which most people have.

Too bad any hybrid-bot system will quickly turn into 5-6 best cookie-cutter builds and everything else will be mostly ignored/laughed at. Good luck balancing a hybrid system. lol

I remember everyone was all excited about Rifts class system... no more cookie cutter builds etc... and then what happened....

1 Cookie cutter build for each role for each class...

General purpose bots would be nice, but hybrid would just be... meh. I would say make an Arke like assult bot and mech.... More Syndicate bots.

Specialized bots are able to be balanced much easier. Problem is we have no specialization really atm.

Ok, you are right.

I still think the current system sucks lol

I think it would be better to start one week from now, giving us time to work a few more details out / giving people time to put their playlists together.

Still looking for more selectors/DJs! Common CIR... You can't tell me non of you want to do this big_smile

My radio playlist is only 30 songs that will be rotated.

Still want to do whiny chick music tongue

What if they terraformed the Beta II Islands so that the 2 outposts were seperated by a single choke point, and there were no TPs between sides? This would facilitate 2 smaller corps that could actually be in conflict with each other on the same island.

Ive had similar suggestions in the past, I think something like this would be perfect.

Honestly, all you people that are signing, are you tired of having such little diversity in targets? Because its just going to get worse as people get tired of this stale "Alliance vs Horde" bs. Are you tired of only having 62nd roam Nova every night? Very few people even out there roaming in groups. This whole us vs them crap is silly. We shouldn't be expanding the every growing list of blue corps...

People are going to keep leaving the game because of this stale PvP environment. When all your enemies are gone and many from your corps who get bored, what will you do?

This is the wrong direction and message for the game... Might as well go play EVE and join some super blob alliance.

Say no to napfests/blobbing, say no to alliances.

dont understand the people who dont want Perpetuum to advance, you are against any sort of change?

Or perhaps its the corp ticker that gets you voting 'no' but that would just be immature and silly. Condemning an idea because your gaming opponent is in favor of it.

Its not that... the games PvP is already stale enough because of these powerblocks... if the game wants to keep PvPers, there needs to be more than a single faction to fight.... this napfest crap is getting very old.

This mechanic just encourages corps to do this when reality is the game is not big enough to support this... power blocks are seriously hurting this game.

If you guys have some empty blocks of time to fill, I'll gladly draw from my library. Granted I have no idea how to get my stuff 'up there', but that's just details.

Yes, we have plenty of blocks to fill.

We are using icecast as the streaming server. I would recommend hooking Jetcast DSP up with Winamp/AIMP if you are on windows. On Linux, I am sure there are some good free solutions.

I think we have decided to go with OGG for streaming since it is royalty free and well supported (comes with Jetcast DSP)

I guess as a goal we will start broadcasting this upcoming monday. For now we can just keep in this thread who is going on air when.

August 22 (Monday) -
August 23 (Tuesday) -
August 24 (Wednesday) -
August 25 (Thursday) -
August 26 (Friday) -
August 27 (Saturday) -
August 28 (Sunday) -

Just post which kind/s of music you wish to play and if you have a preference on the day.

Ill start off

Sundial - Ambient/IDM/Experimental - No preference for day, will fill the first empty block there is.
Arga - Eclectic - Later this next week
Ultroth - ????
Winter Solstice - whiny chick music

Try reading. I can't very well merge many corporations into my own, if I'm the first CEO to disband my own corporation can I now? smile

What is wrong is that you cannot defend your allies SAP because the game treats it as "aggressing", thus if you try to capture the SAP you end up destabilizing your own ally's outpost. Or you can camp the SAP for 2 hours. Potentially every day. Potentially twice. lol

I mean, its fine for you guys since you don't own any outposts, but those of us that do don't really fancy the possibility of sitting out there twiddling our thumbs for 4 hours every day. There's other stuff we can camp when we want to camp. smile

Just sit there and defend the sap instead of trying to capture it?

They are your allies after all, wouldn't they do the same for CIR?

meh, we know guys. Everyone in the biggest ingame alliance wants alliance features.

Syndic, what I find silly is you saying you will merge many corporations into your own if they don't do this. We both know that is not good for the game... Whats wrong with your allies defending your saps and you defending your allies saps? No direct benefit? Im sorry, but this makes 0 sense at all.

I have no problem doing this on beta... the problem is I have to use a Sequer, not my combat bot for a combat reward.

This seems a bit one size fits all in the voting system. This game needs more stuff for small corps. Big corps are not suffering. This will only encourage mega power blocks / blobbing.

IMO you can already set standing, or even hold others outpost for you. Before stuff like this is added, smaller corps needs need to be looked at.

While I don't disagree that this would be useful, I think this is not immediately needed. Its a good idea William, but I don't think the game is ready for it.

If you want to contribute to Syndicate Radio, we need the following things:

a. 24 hour Streams for most of the week, put together a large playlist that runs for 24 hours showcasing some style/taste of music. This would be where you come in... want to hear Banjo music? Electronic? Rock? Trip Hop? Country? Crazy wobble dubstep? Super underground German techno? Put together a playlist and post here. You can also optionally include propaganda clips between the tracks for your corporation, but nothing offensive or trolling. Kind of like cold war / WW2 propaganda. Or even industrial corps running adds for things

b. Live/Prerecorded DJ Sets / Smaller selections of music

c. Commercials about an Arkhe MK3 taking down an entire Gropho fleet. You know, like the super exaggerated commercials from the grand theft auto games. People who can make audio stuff and want to help out and have time to kill.

We already have people involved from all different alliances/groups (Retribution, Wambullance, TOG/NeX) and many corporations. All corps welcome to contribute.... beta corps... industrial alpha corps, Argano worship corps etc.

This is an open ended kind of thing... we wan't to hear what you guys what to hear / get from Syndicate Radio. Open to any suggestions. We are still working on the formatting of the radio / some easy way to see schedules and make them work.

The point is not that it can't be done Aeon. The point is that the current system makes little sense at all.

I don't want to run industrial missions just to get some ammo for PvP. Thats like asking an industrial player to run combat missions so they can get a Lithus/Rivaler.

Winter Solstice wrote:

The primary issue with that would be copyright licensing -- because then you pay (to play perp) to listen to a radio station (possibly playing licensed music) .... which is why every MMO I know of has their stations 'stand alone' unless they play their own (licensed) music.

Yep... by doing it as a community thing without profit involved, organizations that collect royalties don't really care.

None of my music is RIAA, but I am sure what some people will want to play will be. But it won't matter as its not officially part of anything "for profit"

Music is a filler, I'm sure the idea is to put player content for and about Perp into the mix. Maybe with Grem's permission replay the pod cast at 5PM everyday or something like that, as well as other player casts.

Another idea we have been discussing is allowing corporations to have their own streams, on top of a main stream that they could launch connect up and use...

only problem with this is we don't want this to be a platform for *** talking / trolling.

And it kindof scatters things around...

We can play all styles of music... it won't just be "Techno" music. Its whatever the players of perpetuum want to volunteer to play. Of course no corporate bias to anyone... This is strictly about the community.
