Please do something about players now DEV's! Get the game out there ffs NOBODY knows about this game beside ex eve players.

I am gmt +1 and i ran around for 4h and got one kill and really that was the only bot i even see on 3 islands. This was my first time solo roaming and i can tell you i am not very hyped about going out spending hours on that again.
I guess its nic hunting for now waiting for the game to grow, i hope i dont have to go look for something else because the game is awesome.

As mentioned before, the turnover rate is very high at the moment. Introducing new players will just leave a sour taste in their mouth and they won't ever return.

Devs need to work on introducing new dynamic pve content NOW and maybe splurge on some marketing in the not so distant future.

I would have sold it to you for half that

Teleport-lockouts would just lead to Beta islands being turned into safe-zones for a select chosen few. It would be the final death of PVP and is not even worth discussing.

Has nothing to do with the fact that protecting and surveying Nova would be much more difficult and costly, now would it?

It would promote pvp and increase the enjoyability of the game, period. New players with a substantial EP disadvantage and varying skill levels have NO chance against you right now unless they bring a colossal fleet (And even then the results would probably serve as a battle of alesia reenactment) and that is a contributing factor as to is why pvp is uncommon in the first place.

What about other people who spent their precious time to assemble a squad with the right makeup to be PVP-win? They can just go hopping after you through 50 gates until you finally jump into Alpha and go TROLOLOLOLO?  wink

And that would promote pvp unlike what you have now which is the only time people confront you being when they have assembled a formidable squad.

I understand why you have this perspective, though. Benefits you, however imo it's not in the best interest of the server.

Take it to the extreme (which I wouldn't think is unfathomable) for the sake of argument. Let's say your zerg becomes so strong that at one point you have 20 bots stationed right at the Nova teleports. There would be no force that could ever realistically invade your land successfully.

Just doesn't make for good pvp imo.

Not only that, people have come onto Nova, killed *** and got off alive... if you cant handle the heat go to other islands where I'm sure it would be considerably cooler.

I know that quite well. You got thwomped like 10-1 just last night. Thing is, people with limited time like me cannot expect to infiltrate without being welcomed by atleast 5 people. At which point, it would be nice to be able to evac.

Being locked out of using teleports after A) using said teleport and B) being engaged in pvp, both discourage small scale pvp.

I understand the worry about people docking and undocking in terminals but I cannot see why there would be such limitations on teleports themselves.

For instance, when I zone into Nova, I know I can hold my own and *** some people up but it is essentially a death sentence because I have no outlet for escape.

I am a casual player at the moment and have no immediate plans to vow my allegiance towards any corp yet and even if I do, I don't want to have to spend my precious time assembling a squad with the right makeup in order to be viable for pvp.

Do it with 1 char all the while, watching tv on split screen.

If you've been playing for weeks on end and still having NIC problems, I feel bad for you son. I got 99 problems and NIC aint one.

Take that up with Thiole.

Be that as it may, I make upwards of 2 mil per hour running level 1 transports. Few hours of work and I can fully fit any assault/light mech with decent ***.

Acquiring *** is not a problem in this game. Only a few nice optional items like high end resist armor are difficult to obtain as a newb.

The masking changes were a perfect addition (albeit while some thought it was a bit overboard), as it gave light bots a purpose.

Edit : My sincere apologies if I misinterpreted the topic of discussion. Only read a couple posts tongue

The adjustments to masking helped give assaults a unique role and reason to specialize in them.

And if you are complaining about t4 lwf mechs eeking out t1 assaults, well my suggestion would be learn to play. Buddy of mine told me this newb named thiole was making 10mil per hour mining & producing within a couple weeks.

MRE 3000 is like 1.5mil. L2P

A billion people worship cows bro. Why don't you ?

Really *** me over, having full specced into assaults

Now I am faced with 20% penalty which is unacceptable to me since EP is the only thing that drives my characters progression at this point.

Need new respec system ASAP, especially if they keep making such drastic & abrupt changes

Don't be so hard on yourself man. You are clearly outmatched. Maybe you should get some more arkhes to come roam aimlessly with you. That's the ticket imo.

Why am I admitting this stuff? Well, one reason is it's true. The other reason is that the people we've fought (M2S, CIR, 62nd and a whole bunch of others) can tell you from first hand experience that overwhelming numbers of low skill players does not translate into easy kills from swarming. Doesn't happen. Sorry if you think otherwise, but you're wrong.

With you at the helm of 20 tutorial mission bots ie Leading lambs out to the slaughter, who would expect anything different.

I regularly visit CIR land and tbh, they have not been impressive at all. Good people and skilled for the most part, but also terribly overrated by newbs.

Almost killed 2 bots including 1 assault in my ghetto rigged prometheus and another time I played around with them around their base in a Baph for a good while. Each time facing 4-5 people and surviving for minutes on end. All solo ...

Syndic isn't toying with NeX in hopes for greater competition. It is a well disguised plea for mercy in hopes that NeX will dissolve before all of the adulation wears off.

Nex could go over to Nova right now and strip it from CIR if they wanted to. Yes, they have a considerable EP, skill, and gear advantage ... But you have such an overwhelming number advantage that it wouldn't even be a challenge.

As much as you would all love to believe his motives are selfless, he is basically playing you all like a fiddle. Good guy though and really the only viable option he and CIR had at that point. Like I said before, well played ...

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE

I reset and focused assault and now they are reverting the masking changes. None of my doing, mind you.

Not even sure if that is the route I wanted to go in the first place, but having no experience and not wanting to just stare at my *** EP storing up, I made some hasty decisions.

I am glad to see the devs addressing it

Even though you submitted your pick after knowing what range (or the exact number?) it actual was.

You would think there would be a deadline, but hey I wouldn't have won either way so /high five

Congrats shadow

Yeah the current system is really brutal for newbs like me. At first I reset to choose the correct team to suit my play style (had alrdy used a considerable amount of ep on him) and the second time I misallocated points.

It takes a good few weeks before you get the hang of things and simply put, the current system is just plain harsh for newbs.
