While I do agree that beta could use some additions like those Never suggested, as it is right now if you are smart about it you can make plenty from beta's as they are now. For the most part they are pretty empty of people. Play smart and you will profit.

However if added plasma, kernals etc etc will get more people out there doing their thing then I'm all for it. Not just so that there are more people to roam and kill right now but so that other individuals and corps can develop the industrial backbone to provide great wars as well as to start filling out the high tiered stuff on the market.

I also agree that while alpha shouldn't be nerfed as it is right now it should also not grow anymore. As it is there is very little reason not to do most of your mining and npcing on alpha. Maybe some overcrowding and not enough mins to go around will help push people to learn, adapt, and to expand to beta islands.

What do I get for being on Beta? Increased resources? Big whoop. In 2 months on alpha ive bought and subsequently lost (to evil evil npc's) 3 t4 fitted mechs. In a few weeks when ive got the ep i'll be able to buy and t4 fit a Mesmer. Clearly the aquisition of wealth is not an issue here.

So other than more money what does beta offer?

Just because you can fit a certain type of bot, doesn't mean you can fit it well. T4 doesn't automatically = win. I've got triple your time in and only now just starting to get where I can properly fit and use a mesmer, and that's not deviating along other training lines very much. So you still got a long way to go there.

Beta offers PVP, that is what it's there for. The Epi and the better facilities are there to encourage people to be out there to pew pew. Now mind you since the extra resource/money potential isn't that great, the chance for pew pew is what draws alot of people out there.

Sorry Zoom, we were late giving him his meds.

To the Devs: Thanks for all your hard work and sleepless night. I think a very beneficial side effect of these technical problems is it gave your team a chance to prove that you are a cut above other MMO developers in openness, honesty, and that you actually do think about your players. This has no doubt won many hearts and minds of our new arrivals.

To the players: I was actually quite surprised by most people patience and tolerance of the problems. Most were quite vocal of their support for the devs and their work. I'm glad that most of  you have left the bittervetness in Eve. I hope many of you who dwell, lurk, and spew on various other forums make it know that Avatar Creations have made a great game, provide awesome support for the game and it's players. This definately deserves plenty of positive PR for them.

Again thanks to all.

Would it be possible that those people offline and in squad not be shown in the squad info window?

Currently the market needs some love, potential for you to make money there but would be alot of work to be in a good position to do it. Main reason I think for market issues is that most corps just maintain an internal corp market and don't use the market in game.

As for other stuff to do well there is the grindy stuff like NPC'ing, Missions, and Mining. Artifacting is pretty decent, you could get some decent items and it can be fun. Then of course there is PVP. You can do solo PVP however expect to get overwhelmed by bigger bots and plenty of them shortly after getting seen. Joining with a corporation would let ya participate in the roaming squads that many of the Beta corps do. There is also the outpost intrusions which like in EVE let your corp take control of an outpost. There is likely some stuff I missed but it's late and I'm tired.

There are still many improvements and things to add to this game, however it is still young and the Devs are great for trying to accomadate the player base's wants and needs. Hope your enjoy the game and stick with us for awhile.

Comrades,

CIR is a great corp for those both new and old to the world of Nia. Tovarisch Syndic and his officers will teach and guide you through becoming an exceptional agent. All our members work together towards the corps common goals. This means that while you may gain persoanl wealth if you wish there is no need. All our NPC farming and mining/harvesting goes into the corp production so as long as you do your part for the corp you'll be taking care of.

Currently CIR resides in the beta motherland of Novastrov. Here we have access to high grade NPC's, Ores, and Plants. We have allies which also reside on this glorious island which help to maintain security. We regularly send out diplomatic patrols to the less civilizated islands of Nia in an effort to bring the peace and prosperity of Soviet Novastrov to their shores.

CIR has been involved in many wars in the time the Syndicate has occupied this little slice of Nia. Many other corporations have fallen to nothingness and others have been devastated and rendered impotent, however CIR has not only remained but prospered. CIR will be here until the end.

For those wishing to joined CIR and the glorious Soviet Novastrov then please contact one of the following people to begin your new and improved life as an agent on Nia:

Syndic
Bibi Waffles
Predator
Sengyr
Weedy
Ghorasia
oAbeo
Lemon
Norrdec

Cheers,

Dark Omega

While I do think the game would be better off if we avoided the alliance mentality, for all intents and purposes there are already alliances, conglomerates, coalitions whatever you want to call it in existance now even without ingame mechanics to allow the management of it.

People will always want to form groups for various reasons, the most common of course would be mutual protection. I would love it if there were enough indenpendant corps or even small alliances on every beta island.

So that being said if it doesn't take alot of time, energy and money to implement some alliance features then fine, alliances will be a fact regardless of if there is an actual alliance mechanic or not.

I think the biggest hurdle to high tier items on the market is that only a few people at the moment have a ton of research done. It's a hell of a lengthy process for someone solo to get enough kernals to produce a couple of T4 items let alone a wide variety.

Having the corp pay to make and issue medals would make them have a bit more meaning as well as add a NIC sink to the game. Being able to design them ourselves (likely with a set of premade pictures/icons whatnot. I'm sure many of us have seen this before, but it would add the feature for those that like their shiny stuff as well as a needed NIC sink.

Yeah definately should be no microtransaction that have any actual effect on the game, stuff like paint jobs and cosmetic stuff fine but shouldn't have anything to impact Nia. Otherwise the wallet warriors win by default and while the income could really help a company in the very short term it hurts in the long run.

By myself I am able to cover all 4 of our teleporters and I'm not the only one who does that on our island. Generally speaking it's easy for us as well as others I'm sure to have a scout arkhe or light bot sitting on beta side of all our tele's that connect to other islands. Provided the scout is paying attention (ie having sound on so you hear people jump in) you are going to have a hard time sneaking onto the island. Due to the multiple teleporters connecting to each other now I keep the scouts on beta side, yes it reduces the warning time till enemy jump in but they still get scouted coming on to the island. The only way you arn't getting spotted is if scouts arn't deployed or scouts arn't paying attention. There is no real ninja way onto the island.

With an increased radius as to where you teleport into well it would be a double edged feature, on one side yeah you might sneak in or they could have a mech with a detector going. You would likely not make it back to the tele in time to survive, also if jumping in as a group you would be scattered all over the place.

Not sure what would fix this without breaking something else but definately would be nice to have some sort of ninja route onto an island but one that is costly or limiting in it's effectiveness. Other wise people just won't use the regular teleports.

Would definately appreciate being able to switch ammo in all guns at once.

I would love to be able to pull various chat channel into seperate windows. This would allow grouping of like channels. General channels like recruitment, help and general chat in one window, intel channels in another. The important part would be being able to drag the windows ourselves so that they may be grouped or seperated according to each players preference.

Is there somewhere where we can download the patch file so that we don't need to download the patches via each client we have installed? Not that 150mb is that big but when you have to download 3, 4 , or 5 times it adds up. It would be easier to just download the patch file and then run it for each installation you have.

If we arn't about to do this now, would it be possible to set that up?

Thanks
