I'm sorry Syndic, but you are wrong, reroll 10 of your best PVPers into new chars, and put them against 10 vet chars, let's see how well your "tactics and strategy" hold up. lol I have a suspicion they will not.

There aren't even 10 people for us to fight against left.  True story.  Just a lot of loud mouth trolls on the forums who never log in.

Strategery!!

you wont get carebears out into beta and PvP, when PvE is 100% safe (and needst to be that way).
and i mean that on the loss of robots should be common AND acceptable

those are balancing and mechanic changes that would affect both sides.
Police towers would soften the transition between PvP safe and dangerous zones. their re-implementaion would come after fixing the previous issues.

You can't have robot loss be "common" in PvE until the production isn't ridiculous.  The simple question they need to ask is "How long will it take a SOLO player with ONE account to replace their loss if they fail attempting X spawn/mission?"  When the answer is multiple times longer than what they gain by doing X the balance is wrong.

I was wondering what that was about.  Hilarity ensues.

FYI,

there is this

more details

"routing tables have grown too large for some top-level Internet routers to handle"

There are people who never leave Alpha and would likely not play if they were getting ganked there.  I have seen 'no suicide ganking in hisec' used as a selling point to newbies more than once.

Oh, this looks like it used the now non-existent golden triangle.  I re-read it because I thought it was the demob-the-sequer game I forgot the rest of.

It seems like it would be trivial to implement if you were only allowed to sell ones that hadn't ever been used at all.  It is something that's been needed for a long time.  Even if it were only for MK2 it would be a big QoL improvement and a boon to solo artifact scanners who have  a hell of a time offloading their wares.

As stated in many other threads, Beta isn't even a concern for most people who quit; only a few butt hurt vets.

Lack of good PvE content, non-shitty missions, insane travel times on foot to and from said missions and any other activity that doesn't use a spark or TP beacon, hard coded micro fonts, amount of PvE grind required to PvP, no contracts,  are all things I've seen many complaints about both here and on the Steam forum.

We have 50 players online and you think nothing should be fixed?

My opinion is that most people quit the game long before they even think of going to a Beta.

EDIT: You don't have to look hard to find out why.

It essentially all boils down to numbers.

Which has always and will always be the case regardless of mechanics.

Also asking for DEV intervention to fix your political, strategic and tactical failures does not make a sandbox.

SAP's have to be defended for 1 hour. If you don't defend, anyone can come by and complete the SAP, therefore reducing the stability. If you do defend, you're sitting there twiddling your thumbs for 1 hour. That's not "NOTHING", that's 1 hour of someone's time for 20-30M worth of loot.

This.  Why do you think DoY just swoops in the last ~10 minutes and tries to ninja, and if they see their own shadow run for alpha or try to safe log?  Because we're usually watching.

Baby sitting a SAP is the same thing as doing a Large Complex in Faction Warfare for you EVE guys.  It's lots of waiting around doing nothing punctuated by the occasional very short engagement which is usually decided one way or the other very quickly.

PLUS ONE TRILLION

Only people actively supporting the game should have a voice.  I support a forum block on all accounts without boosters from posting (new accounts should get a 1 month grace period - in fact I think they should be getting a starting booster so they can actually see the difference if they're still playing after a month without one).

There are many threads where people who don't even play the game, and indeed actively dissuade people from playing, petition for major mechanics changes that do not effect them in the slightest.  To me, that is far and away the most nauseating aspect of the forums, and I'd like to see it rectified.

TL;DR - Boosters = Sub = Ability to voice an opinion.

Just shooting NPCs on a spawn is as raw and boring as something could possibly be in a game. That's exactly why there needs to be a wrapper around it, something to give it additional goals, depth.
NPC farming can be made fun.

I'm doing this right now.  It's kidn of relaxing and I can do it while reading the forums or watching a movie.  If they want to add something fine; don't take away.

EDIT: In other words make new *** don't adapt the old.  I like the ball and chain.

This.  Mission revamp is 2+ years late.

Missions not sucking and contracts have been asked for for *YEARS*.  It's true that a 1 account solo player has very few options.  The DEVs have literally told people to "just join a corp" in genchat when this is mentioned.  Good luck.

I don't think T1 removal is needed at all but the rest aren't bad ideas.  As I stated in other threads, the problem with modules is the enormous spread between the Tiers.  The bonuses need to be normalized to like 3 to 5% max difference between T1 and T4.  On many modules it's more like T4 is 50% better.  That means there is never a reason to use T1 unless you just want to throw the bot away in a suicide attack (even then T2 is often used for the speed gain).  I'm not calling for nerfs just normalization.  There should be a reason to use more than T2/T2P, and T4.  This would help new players far more than vets.

Frankly T4+ and whatnot should never have been added.  The equivalent of WoW Relic gear and *** shouldn't exist in a player built economy as something that only comes from RNG NPCs.

really if you think corporation dialogues is whats scaring people away.....

most people will see this game on steam, and no where else.  They will use the steam forums.

All this does is prevent me from watching the delicious tears at work, or while working.

All you are doing is hiding the ONLY active forum section of the game, creating the reality that the game is very dead thorough the forums.  Might be true to some extent....

But yeah people will be turned off by the games graphics far before they take the time to go to the official website, then go down to corp dialogues, see activity and fighting....which gives the appearance theres life and sandbox factional war....and for some reason be turned off from that...

(typing from work) I can log in, or not, but I agree that people are far more likely to see the Steam sub-forum first and that political fighting is the majority of the activity...

Think of it this way: the time is has taken Perp to kind of maybe get paintjobs real soon now(tm), these guys have made a complete modern game, with spaceships, explosions... and paintjobs.

am i the only one that thinks there is a huge difference making a space game and ground based game when it comes to coding the enviroment?
I have to admit, i saw a game studio even fail at making big enough space bubbles to allow consensual pvp (Black prophecy), but i don't think that the norm.

Well... I'm not a programmer, but you would have account for things moving on an extra axis in a space game.   IDK
