I was thinking something like a bot with the ability to generate a shield - for someone else.

It would get a accum recharge bonus, and would provide concise tactical support where/when needed. heck you could even make it module based, and have them as head slots, so you could do multiple targets, at the cost/risk of shield failure of course. the bot would have to be a mech or something that could conceivably have some nasty accumulator, but would ultimately be a neat idea.

a "shielding" bot would be a cool type of support, and could be used many different ways, but simple having a giant impenetrable dome would be way too OP.

well that's a whole different argument smile

thats actually part of the problem there your agent isnt ready to pvp because you are not ready. once combat starts extentions have far less role than attitude and knowldge

while normally we'd fight to the death over the color of the sky lol , I find myself agreeing with him. this mindset and the lack of, and the "not wanting to have any of" knowledge is the primary issue in most cases.

while we're at it, we could go ahead and just rename the game to stEVE too, right?

well it would have to be something tactical, to promote different kinds of combat situations. a standard block on the ground is not a good idea, but say a demob field, or some kind of local radar jamming, etc...

I gotta say, I was an EA character, with zero knowledge of the skills/extensions prior to setting up my account. I turned out just fine. It's all about reading and paying attention. you "can" use the basic weaponry with just a day or two worth of EP, so why not just invest your EP that way if it's absolutely critical that you try everything?

it just needs to be no deleting from cargo until you're in a station, plain and simple. sure it would be more inconvenient, but it solves all the problems, and it makes sense. That or a more sophisticated "eject" system, but the rules on cans and viewed/not viewed make it difficult to do something like that currently. either way, tweaking is needed.

this may need some form of tweaking to keep the "spamming" down, but it's a fecking good idea otherwise.

if I has boosters, why do I needs parachute? smile

Sadly, devs said melee will/would be very tough and lengthy to implement.

Also, your "funnels" are already done. See:EVE ( Drones ). it's a neat idea, works well in that game. ( kills servers though )

To the top for the evening crowd.
