Give my Gropho more tank and I'm happy.. Oh wait too OP, what about the tyrannos. Btw I never mentioned a nerf to recharge rate was a solution.

Your right this is just ONE of the solutions.  Something may need to be done with JUST the mk2 version only, and this change if at all needs to be small.

Personally I would rather see a small change in shields, either buff or nerf either way.

Indy - "Or just do it EVE style"

I really don't see this as a bad thing  I just wouldn't think it would really "work".  (Not against it tho.)

Hell, if anything I would like to see the introduction of hull armor, and possibly hull tanking.

But, that's a tricky slope.

We need a increase of Damaged Common Fragment in drops, as it stands now we are FAR under supplied, as well as its starting to become a bottle neck.

If you want growth in the proto side of things either bump the drop rates about 200%, OR decrease the needs of all protos by 100% (2/3 or 1/2).

Would MUCH rather see a cut as it will make hauling the stuff a tad easier.

BE SPECIFIC PEOPLE....MK1's Are Extremely easy to kill....MK2's are the tanky variation, and those can be killed.

Alex - "With all respect to kain pilots, 1 Kain can kill shielded tyr easily with DPS. Just think a bit how."

TRUE - But for some reason people don't believe it!!

As to compare this to the Troiar Mk2, yea lets throw that out there as a excuse when they have LITTLE to no common line at all.

Hell if people are wanting a small change, and yes I MEAN SMALL change, lower the acc recharge skill value by 1% per lvl. Start SMALL and work up.

Right now Tank is all the Tyr MK2 has, that's it.

You dont care about this game anymore?

Well Sir, I do care about this game, quite abit.  More then a bit, alot.
Indy, if you want to buff Ictus then step back and take a look at the bigger picture.  What we already have are ictus that are nearly perfect, and now you want to basically take them back to the way the were ( you really wouldn't know how awesome they were as you didn't care about the game then or now).  Changing the Ictus is NOT the way to go, at all.

Lets take a look at what people seem to be *** about most of the time.  You cannot 1 v 1 a Tyr MK2, in a DPS bot with a regular fit (guns tuner ect.)  But guess what?  You can 1 v 1 a Tyr mk1 in a DPS bot AND break it.  Its crazy I know, who woulda thought.

Lets look a bit more at the specific fit that most are having a hard time at, the basically unbreakable Tyr mk2 shield fit.  With its crazy recharge, 1 v 1 you just cant break it with out some from of neuts, or drainers.

Lets look even closer, were both agreeing that 1 v 1 it cant be killed, but the question is asked can he kill you?  Can he cycle fast enough so you dont get a shot at him?  In most cases I can usually get some good shots in (it takes about 2 to 3 shots to kill a tyr mk2).  So what were looking at is you cant kill him, if he drops his shield he is going to get shot most of the time.

Now lets take into account that most of the time people do not PVP solo if at all.  Most of the time its three to four people coming at another group or a solo guy.

What this is really coming down to is do people want bots that can "last" for quite some time in combat, or do we want bots the basically insta die to anything out there.

As it stands now, blue basically is insta death with extreamly high alpha, Green can last and last and last for a very long time, with terrible damage, or DPS.  Red is some where in the middle using a longer range, and a buffer to buffer tank, for a greater time then the blue, but less then green.

Its actually funny that Anni would say that no one knows how to counter a tyr mk2, in fact nearly the entire server knows how to counter them.

Hell go ahead and nerf the tyr mk2, and see who will be left that wants to pilot them.

That is the only thing you said that was remotely close to being accurate.

*Insert indepth breakdown of balance and what works/doesn;t*

Thats why your wrong and you read about as much as you would have had it been filled in.

Also this is as much as the devs will ever take from a thread of this type.

........................

Nothing you assume there are any dev's to read or even make the changes anymore.

+1  May of these wonderfully stupid suggestions have no idea what you can actually do to counter a shield.  Sure lets make the ictus overpowered that will clearly make everything ok.

A lot of this is stems from just plain ignorance of how to fit, or the fittings that are involved.

Actually I was pointing out the flaw of how many you get per Token on a per color basis...EI: Green is the most Eff, followed by Blue, and then far behind is Red.

I was merely pointing out the mis-balancing of above said.

I do appreciate you pointing out the fact that the mods ON the bot are worth more then said bot, that's all good smile

On a sellers stand point red is awesome on a buyers standpoint there is a problem.  You need 3x more as the other factions.

Edit:

I took a closer look, and it seems to be a bit more messed up then what I had originally thought.

At a average Price of 50k Per Token (should be player set price no doubt)
Red Med Ammo - 5,357 Per Round   - 2,571,428 Per Mech
Green Med Ammo - 15,000 Per Round - 1,800,000 Per Mech
Blue Med Ammo - 6,666.66 Per Round - 1,333,332  Per Mech

Hm, more studying will have to go into this subject.
As those should be more relatively in line with each other.

This is way out of wack for what your getting.

At current buy and sell orders (50K) each ROUND of ammo, be it Apoc Cyptro, Mag UDC, Smite Heat, is exchanging for a rate of 5,357 NIC PER UNIT.

Just using a Artemis as a example here, just to fill the ammo of the T4 Lasers (Long Range 120 Per gun) is a total cost of 2,571,428 Nic, making the ammo worth about two times that of the bot.

As its red this will show up more rather then Blue or Green.
Blue - 1,071,428
Green - 642,857  < most effective per round.

Something would tell me that this should be adjusted, or at least looked at?

This was a quick post, apologies for misspellings Ect.

The sky is falling to...

And there was actually a wolf there I swear.

There is not a easy mode button in this game...speeding up bots, having faster ways of traveling ect. will have implications that you haven't even thought about as of yet.

As for the 20k EP...don't even get me started on that one again.

If anything WOULD happen I would like to see a greater RANGE of speed of the bots, not a actual increase at all, Period.

i see two very contradictionary requests from the same players:

1. we only want a fine selection of hardcore player, that are willing to endure the single way to "success" in this game

2. we want a server full with enough player that make all those hardcore game mechanics finally working that are based only on the assumption that there will be far more then 100 player at the same time online.

Quick everyone just agree with Anni and everything will be alright.

What we really need are bots within bots.

And so it would be called botception!!!

Yea about the response I expected to get.

That list that is post above has all sorts of flaws, mainly in the fact that its based around PVE and very little experience of PVP, and yet most of the arguments are based in a PVP based scenario.

(Dev's have already shown the new teir system just not in yet.)

The main "***" point about all of this is people want to make it easier to play the game, I have some wonderful news for you, the game is hard, its hard when you start out its hard when you are a vet, vets get killed just as easy as the rest of us.  Your main argument is based on stupidity, not of yourself, but of the noob players that are well...err playing the game.  Its out of shear ignorance that they don't know how to fit a bot, how to fit a mining or harvester.  Its not the games fault or game mechanics fault, its called being new.

This dumb idea that you automatically CANT PVP unless you have a T4 frame is COMPLETE BS.  The main reason being is that you have simply NO idea what fits are being used, and at what speeds.  You are not in the PVP arena, you don't know how, and the strategy were actively using.  This is a paper vs reality problem.  You think you know how it should be done, but they way your wanting PVP to be based around is in the past, way in the past.

The main thing is, a lot of the "problems" just stem from being ignorant.  That is not a balance issue its a human issue.

What Rex just said is basically true at this point this is all just pure specualation nothing more.

T3 is suppose to be added at the end NOT at the start of a game, adding it now will not be a good thing, infact quite the opposite.

Introduce the specialized bots first.  Make those great and then work on other things.

I would assume as its basically the same thing, I compare them as thats the only way you can do...yes they had 5 mods instead of what the DEV's have said of 3.  You get the idea.

What I do not want is something that is accessable to lower skilled players.

Ok, Ok let me back trace that a little bit.  In EVE they had orginally said they would have cruisers and frigs all T3, the cruisers happened the frigs did not (least to my information have not played in a bit), so one would assume the reason they didn't put frigs in is because of balancing issues with the other frigs in that line.

This is something I would rather see happen in Perp, I would like them to start at a mid line level (Assults, possibly mechs, as mechs basically = cruisers) and then work backwards, so that the newer, NOT new players can enjoy and get a taste of whats really out there.

They have to be pricey as that is basically the only way to balance them, should they be OP?  Only in the eyes of the players at first then counters will come up.

The real trick is putting them into the game without making all of there other SET mechs basically crap, and at a price where they are NOT all over the place everywhere.

EI: High Skilled and Very Pricey, and Hard to get the Mats needed.

How many times have the players got to say that travelling is utterly boring, before they actually do something about this?

+1 Good post Smokey.

I believe in the slower travel time.

The real issue in Smokiis post is Population, still.

I was a huge fan of EVE and love how this game has taken many of its successful elements. But the are two fundamental thing this game has that makes the PvP sooooo much more fun. One is the WASD with LoS. The other is the slow travel time.

Fact is that engagements can last 20-40 minutes or more in Perp where they last 2-4 minutes in EVE (or seconds even). If travel was really fast and easy I think it would have negative impact on PvP (given a larger Pop). I've a ton more to say but iPhone is pain.

Population is the issue more than travel time. We have lots of tools for getting around, and with unlimited Spark TP it's actually too easy.

That's why you offset it with a high input cost, and a high skill requirement.

I disagree, Celebro.

The reason being is that its a good thing to WANT to have nice things, its a even better thing to WORK for nice things.
