how many max tuner fits have you seen in pvp in the last years. i have to admit i havent seen any.
most pvp with heavy mechs (the only ones that have enough high slots that it would matter) are fielded with medium to long range fittings. most of the time i see sniper fits that go even more in the opposite direction. scarificing most high and even some low slots to get that high range of ~900-1000m.

and even if some ppl would use some extreme short range high dps fits successfull on the battlefield, then i would say, hell yea, finaly something different.

and that leaves primary pve for high dmg fittings. and i thinkt that totally ok there.

I know you like to get all offended about stuff ZT, but considering freelancers have more kills then you, there is a valid argument to be made backed up by ~2 months of killboard stats that the fits you see should be taken as examples of "What Not To Do".

With a good EWar nerf there is no reason (apart from range considerations) not to field full-tuning heavies with dedicated RR support player.

you do best when you loose the argument syndic. but politics and who wins what has nothing to do with your topic. or are you just trying to switch topic to hide that you lost the argument again? besides i havent heard any dev talking about changeing ewar yet.

good to see you devs adressing a lot "small" issues that were around for ages. keep up the good work.

your question about pvp flag and teleporting:

  • you can now use any stationary TP when pvp flaged. so pvp can be drag over to alpha.

  • you can not use any mobile tp while pvp flaged, so no more jumping away when engaged.

  • when you jump through a TP while flaged your instability is greatly increased. so jumping back might be a bad idea (TP games).

also

  • using a external TP your syndicate protection will be the same as your instability. (if not flaged)

  • using an interior TP you will have reduced syndicate protection. so it will be shorter then on a external.

loocking forward to it. enjoied the last podcasts a lot.

welcome to perp. its very refreshing to see a good influx of new players ingame. even more so if they enjoy the game. so this game will finaly grow to a size that it deserves.

the perp community is very small and yes a lot ppl are glad to help the fresh blood in the game.

@our enemies:
of cource you could not leave your usual propaganda bull*** out of things like this?

there you are right.

its their job to enforce their rules. what ever that might be.

the only thing that i find funny in this topic is that the basicly the ppl that are the reason for it now agure against their own behaviour.

the world is what we make it. if ppl would use common sense and dont cross the line, then this discussion would have never been needed. sadly it is.

clients that are bought on steam can only launched from there (s war as i think that the devs said that).

clinets that are bought from the perp site can be launched with both if you link the bought game to a steam account.

and yes steam only allows one client and only one game running at a time. thats a steam problem and i think the devs cant do anything about it.
i am not sure if can can do anything about that you can use a steam baught account and get another login for the standart client. atm its the way that it logs in with your steam id and that only works with the steam client that you can only start via steam. so you are back at the first problem.

the perp site accepts paypal, credit card and moneybookers. normaly these are general accepted payment methods a person can access. or what payment method would you need?

very mature again ville. but i didnt expected any better. just shows that you did not learn a thing. or am i talking to the 12 year old again?

well i think its clear by now that this is all because of my support ticket. sadly enought that the devs do not keep things like this confidential, but thats another story.

i think that nobody realy cares about some smacktalk, but there is a clear line between smacktalk and personal insults.
its a difference if you say things like: "run you cowards" when somebody walks from the battlefield.
but its a different thing when use things like (quote): "why dont you suck a *** zortard". this is personal. even in two ways in this case.

talking about "adults" and "trolling":
you might have noticed that its only one "faction" that is primary trolling around. and for all that corporation and alliance propaganda/drama nobody cares and we usually ignore that anyway.

trolling in factual discussions (like for example about game mechanics) or even bringing that propaganda bullshit to these discussion sections is a no go for every adult mindset. if you cant seperate that then you surely dont have a adult mindset.
just as using insults in these kinds of discussions just because you want to strengthen your position or try to let the people with another opinions look bad. that is not adult behaviour like you claimed above that you posess it. and there are plenty of that samples in this forum.
guess why less and less ppl use that forum for suggestions and other usefull talk that would help this game.

the last example is the "show" you and your friends did to this topic in Skymarshal Brandon's livestream in the twitch chat. that shows exacly your "adult" mindet that you talked about in your post. just like your spam afterwards in various public channels. i would say: the behaviour of a 12 or 15 year old at max.

i dont care about a bit smacktalk, but getting insulted in a personal way by the same ppl over and over again has its limits. so thats when that ticked happend.

zort

yea sure.

move your fleet where you want it. cloak it.

put detector / bait into position.

when enemy is in positoion then decloak and *** feast.

even better then login trap because ingame coms are working and no delay from loging in.

im not surpived to see where that idea came from.

tux check the wiki there are all files. there you can check the size.

i can tell you that .png is the format and it has a alpha channel for transparency (obviously).
i have played around with it a little for my guide.

Actually, a contract system, including but not limited to WTB, WTS, fitted bots and CT's, would cover this.

that is partially true. of cource a contract system is also nice.

in the contract system the work to pull it together is the person that holds the access rights. so these few persons have to do it and have a lot work with it.

in teh request system this is turned around. there the ppl that want stuff have to pull it together and then ppl with the access only have to approve of it. this drasticly reduces the work on them. and thats primary what i am looking for.

this would easy work with a contract system together, but the contract system would be way more work to do.

getting stuff organized when forming up a fleet can be rather time consuming with the current system. of cource you dont want to give all your members full access to your big storage so these bots have to given out one by one. and thats a total pain and also very time consuming.
of cource there will be plenty of other application for thisas well.

basicly it can work two ways:

first:
ppl see whats in the corp folder that they can request from. then they can open a request window and drag into it what they want. then they hit the request button.

second:
they have a market like window where they can select and add stuff to their request list.

once the request is send the offices can access the requests per via the corporation window and can approve or disapprove of it. if approved the stuff will be droped into the corp member private storage on the terminal.
this might even work with pre fitted bots that are prepaired in the corp hangar.

this feature would help the corp life enormously and i think this should be easy enough to code quickly.

if you look for the more polished and better looking game in terms of gfx then eve is your game.

if you look for a more intresting gameplay, for the awsomeness of robots and a even greater possible potential for the future, then you are at the right place here and now.

i agree. i liked the smaller icons better as well. you get better overview and see more on one screen.

besides that very good work. kkep it up.

i think we had this before... but of cource i can only greatly agree.

just look at RL.

exaple iron ore:
iron ore has high volume because there is more then iron it. thats why you have to "refine" it.

aftter refining all the stuff you dont want is gone. so it has lost a lot mass and volume. the product you get out of it (steal in various forms like plates, blocks ond others) has way less volume, but higher density so more mass per volume (density can be different with other products)

once you produce anything out of the refined materials you usually cut away from that making it even more lighter, but you are creating something with function in most cases so you greatly increase the volume with your done goods again. take a tank for example. they weight usually around 80tons thats quate a bit, but if you smelt it together to a solid block of metal then it is way smaller can can be transported way more easy.

this also would also encorrage trade because ppl might want to refine under better conditions. ...

big +1 the game will benenfit in multible ways and of cource it makes a lot sense.

i would love to do so... but:
"Sadly, there are no guides for this title yet. If you’d like to create a guide, you’ll first need to purchase Perpetuum."

and its highly unlikely that i buy perp on steam. seams as some other solution has to be found...

i dont think we need to nerf tuners.

it can only be used in great numbers in pve. in pvp i havent seen much bot with pure tuner fittings yet. most likely because they lack range and are too vunrable in other terms. (and i havent seen a lot SR fleets in the past)
and i think for pve its ok to power up a bot a bit...

if you give the tuner a dimishing return buff then they will become useless after two or three mods. this will limit the fitting diverity. so im pretty much against it.

if you want to remove the exponential increasement and do for a linear aproach then the solution lies in the math:
the tuners are stacking exponential because they have multible stats (dmg, rof, and cirt). each of them add multipicatively. and if you boost 3 stats multiplicativly then you have a expnential increasement.
one solution might be to reduce the bonus only to one stat (for examle dmg), but of cource a bit more of it because you remove the other two. then you will get a linear increasement for every module you add (if you get your math right).

but personaly i dont think its nessessary to nerv tunings. i think powering up dmg is ok. your other options that you loose are:
range
sensor boosting (if you dont have rsa)
ewar resistance
rep bonus
...

on the other hand a few other modules could use a boost. like the armor repair tuning that was nerved to death multible times.

there is no faction that limits you. you can pilot/use everything if you have the right extentions.

if youi split your EP (extention points) too thin over multiple areas then it will take way longer for you to get good at anything. especially as a new player. it is heavily adviced to focus in one direction at the start.

you feel like doing multible things? like combat, resource gathering and industry. well having multible accounts helps in this. then each account will get EP.
