Since the patch my game with all my accounts have been running very smoothly. As someone who is mainly Industrial the speed increase is outstanding. Dev Zoom, you have significantly increased performance. knowingly or unknowingly.

Now to the orange bot deal. Many combats do not like the idea of a repper being targeted and attacked. I watched two people quit yesterday using that as a excuse. Reality is they were probably going to leave anyways. But still I can understand the E-Z mode(Solo Beacon) players with complaints. They now have to actually manage the bots they use :-).

As far as speed. I have not been as happy as I am now with Perpetuum. The speed increase makes a difference. I also see light and assault bots becoming more viable with concern to pvp. Which is a good thing. As newer players can use a light or assault almost right away. The speed desparity between the heavys and light are significant enough for hit and run tactics. Or hit and demob tactics.

Thanks for the great patch!

Even if a game enforces a single player account it is still quite exploitable. Some games go directly off a ISP address to enforce a single account policy. But consider each device in your home has a ISP address.

For instance, in my home I have 2 desktops, 2 laptops, 1 tab, 3 android phones, 2 game systems. Each gives a specific IP address. Thus can be used to make that single account.

Why making a single account option seem viable for this game.  With of course no alt ability. The fact would remain that alt accounts would still exist. Of course I like the idea. Would make things much more interesting. Heck, I like the idea even though I own 4 accounts with 10 alts.

But needed to share how it is still exploitable.

Then consider that ISP providers at least in my area change PID  or IP addresses once every couple of months for residential users. Talk about creating a mess :-)

Maiden, it's a mechanics issue. Sparks for one. Lack of islands for two, at least with regard to pvp power and domination issues. Look at my signature. I've been advocating that a long time so NEW players have room to grow while vets (hopefully) cannot be everywhere in minutes.

You're advocating change get to pvp mechanics while admitting to an industrial play style. Perhaps your opinions are wrong. Perhaps mine are. But I've said nothing in this thread to indicate my opinions are not sincere.

Perhaps it's a corp tag thing. I don't know don't care why.

EDIT: just noticed OP ignore list thing. You mad cause you dont like me disagreeing with your opinion? Dude, you're the one who started the topic accusing players of killing the game.

Zoom should just close it down.

I do not believe more room is going to fix the issue. I added some of the ideas I think would or could help. While you may disagree with the mercenary thing. I did throw out some other ideas.

As to the alliance. I know more than anyone that CIR,77, and PHM are actually a close knit gaming community. I did not say corps as that does not apply to just Perpetuum. Like I said earlier. I have a fix, but would need to talk to your alliance leadership to see it inacted. My hands are tied for it. So look me up in game.

You want a war? Sure you do. To get that, you and your alliance will have to sacrifice. Back out of some islands. Let other corps take over some. Let other corps mine resources, build a army. Give it some time. Instead of having your alliance get a temporary pvp fix by crushing newer corps that barely got started. That is the real fix from your side.

But your alliance is not interested in such a endeavor. Rather you will crush anyone who tries to take  unit of Epitron on any beta! Let alone try to have a POS. So please tell me you are not part of the problem. In reality your alliance is the problem. And the reason this game is continually losing players.

Syndics ideology is wrong. Soviets lost the economy. In this game that same ideology is failing. Instead of money, the game is losing its players! Til the only ones left will be the few who stick with your alliance.

I have a fix. Except it would require a private conversation with CIR,77, or PHMs leadership. I cannot post it on this forum. As it is a public forum.

No hes right, we should go back to when the game had no CIR.  Back when STC/NEBS ruled the game, allied up to 90% of the server and no one played.

Thing is, the losers of the game will always blame the winners for killing the game.  These people don't want to play a game where victory isn't handed to them on a silver platter...

Blame us all you want, we played the game to the best of our ability.

The true cause of the players thinning out isn't over politics, as CONS clearly saw during new hope when NSI/GHOST/forget who else nooby corps all quit because CONS pvped them and lost.  That was noob on noob violence ignoring stags shameful presence.

People thin out due to lack of content and the fact that this game needs some serious development done to it as well as being a type of game that isn't going to cater to most gamers... I would say 90% are going to leave when they realize its not MWO in an open world, then 9% will quit due to issues with the game (valid or not) such as poor pve content.  the other 1% are those who make it through the other hurdles this game has, and quit because they cant easily win.

Its like talking to a wall though.  CIR/77 vs the world were super evil rage filled individuals who want the game to die in the eyes of the rest of the server....yeah yeah....

same *** as always.  Thing is, we kill the game though activity and playing, other people have used planned inactivity to bore people out...not sure what you prefer....thing is...losers always look for the excuse that doesn't involve them getting better, so they stay bad, keep losing, and look to blame anything other than themselves and their leaders.

It is not a matter of who is dominant at given time. Rather, what can be offered to even pvp for newer and low EP players. Ideas that give both veterans and noobie players a challenge

I am mainly a industrial player. So honestly do not care that much about pvp. But for newer corps and newer players. That particular facet of the game may interest them. But after this many years. It is still severely one sided.

So do you have any ideas to fix the issue. I throw them out. While PHM takes one of two non CIR alliance POS's.  I do not want CIR gratuity or scraps. Our corp is the only POS left. So take it! As your alliance is the reason for the low population and loss of newer players. As well as why so many leave this game.

The sad part is your alliance to this day still has not figured that part out!

[03:04:30] <Maidden>  If you are a new player looking for a corp. Please feel free to join ND or RAD. Avoid joining PHM,CIR, or 77th.  While they can offer you a wet noodle dream. They are the sole cause of why this game maintains a low population.

Recruitment chat, really?  Take the "No." Like a man and move along.  We are killing the game by actively playing the game and OP is a troll account.  GG.

lol@Ville, Been thee, Done that!  I never asked to be recruited by you or CIR or 77th. I was already a member of CIR. I already know how you operate. Even know  your inner workings. Get a Clue!!

You are quite welcome

Your rage is pointed in the wrong direction.

Also your idea on NPC mercenaries would only make life worse for you as vets--with countless sub-500k accounts and countless billions--turn them against you.

Trying to come up with ideas to level the field between nob and vet is mostly lost cause. Best idea is for developers to create more space. But tell me again how full of *** I am. Meanwhile have a cool one. On me.

Lets see 28.99 real money just for a account.. Only 3 characters per account besides your main. That is sure to boost Perpetuums financial vested interest and status.  Doubt that would ever happen. Unless you really are masochistic right?

Besides most vets I know already have all the alts. Why I added EP values. How many CIR, 77th or PHM have characters that pvp below the 600k mark? Why it stands. Even if that alliance has a few players under that mark. It would still even out the battlefield and lessen the vet advantage. Which is the reason for such.

Such as it should be according to the Syndic socialist/communist ideology. Do not see why you would disagree with such!

So who exactly gets hurt for this? Corporations like CIR. PHM, 77 who have billions upon billions of nik? Or the average everyday player?

For as long as nik is the deciding factor in pvp. The dominance by vets will stay in place.

Players and corps in 77 CIR may have billions and billions of NIC but they are hardly the richest in game.

And that you think NIC is the deciding factor in pvp tells me again that you just got to the party. Sit back and throw down some cool ones, you have much drinking to do.

I am not the one who threatens newer corporations with newbies such as ND or RAD (Quote NAISMITH[CIR]"A ARMY OF KAINS" at they're footstep. To the only Island that has 2 POS locations not owned by your alliance. With the ability to replace that army many times.

So please throw that argument away. You know its BULL S-H-I-T, I know its BULL-S-H-I-T.

My STATEMENT ABOVE STANDS! As well as my post of solutions to this current situation!

Even one spark allows you to run something in to an enemies station and then disengage. Without sparks your forced to leave a character in station if your camped in or commit an alt if you want to grief a station.

I think mobile teleports should only be around for quick jump and return to mission locations (ie given as a mission item) and the problem of getting around should be addressed by better highways and teleport networks.

If detectors stay in game I think they need to be nerves considerably in so many ways it's hardly worth keeping them.

The 500m alpha side conflict zone is to make alpha gate hugging detectors / scouts at risk. Not only are you at risk on the beta side but you can't just jump back to alpha if your a greased as they have 500m to pin you down and kill you.

The aim of the increase in mod value and drop rate is to make PvP a paying profession. Mod cost on a mk2 mech is around 40% of the cost of the hull currently. Drop rate (I think) is 30%. That means your talking about needing it win over ten fights to recoup the cost of one. Making this change would make it closer to 2.

So who exactly gets hurt for this? Corporations like CIR. PHM, 77 who have billions upon billions of nik? Or the average everyday player? Just another control facet for those who already control much of the game.

Need something other than nik to equalize the current situation. Why I posted ideas above your post. For as long as nik is the deciding factor in pvp. The dominance by vets will stay in place. Newer players will play for a little bit. Then off to other things after they find out the real situation within perpetuum.

Perhaps the addition of mercenaries of which any character under lets say 500,000 EP can hire, factional of course.
Have them in tiers. And can only be used against player characters.

The level of the merc would be how much you are willing to pay. As well as how many they want up to lets say 3? 100k ep+bot 1m nik.  Light bot pilot regular
200k ep+bot 5m nik   Light bot pilot elite
300 ep+bot 10m nik   Assault pilot
400 ep +bot 20m nik  mech pilot
500 ep +bot 30m nik. mech pilot elite
600 ep+bot  40 m nik.  Heavy pilot
650 EP+bot 50m nik  Heavy pilot elite
Only applicable on beta or gamma islands. If the player dies or leaves the island the merc remains a red bot on whichever isle it was left at. Killing a merc will leave no reward.

Advantages, would even out vet owned islnds. As they have to keep the isle clean of red bots. Would help significantly in pvp battles where vets have a direct advantage in a conflict.  Can be used to provide defense for low or newer corps.

Also, change the pvp mechanics to include players to be able to attack pvp flagged players on starter islands. This will allow pirating which will help the newer player base. While forcing older veteran corps to provide security if they want to move that red con scarab across a alpha.

Another idea is to allow beacons to be red con bots to all players(Including proximity aggro) rather than just the player who popped them. Make it where the player who popped the beacon can loot. While all other players get no reward for that bot.

Just ideas.. Things that I know would directly effect the veteran and newer players.

For our inactive people who want to complain. Today we had 3 new people which is very nice. Also had a visit in-game from Dev Zoom himself. On his birthday even! Dev Zoom will be staggering Gamma with the first installment in two weeks. Regardless if you like it or dont. Dev Zoom keeps a commitment, especially when doing it in general chat. http://i.imgur.com/sR4ntwk.jpg

I am highly disappointed in the negativity given by some members of this forum. The game is changing for the better. Honestly, I dont care if a single vet comes back. As most are just as much A-S-S-HATS in game as they are on this here forum! The more new people that join, the better.

What made EVE successful for many years was the community. Why EVE has declined recently is also due to the community. So really regardless of what is added, nerfed or changed. Our community is what makes this game.

So for our disgruntled vets who are not active. Either take a hike(Dont come back again, I HATE TROLLS!) or join the community with positive feedback!

Tonnik wrote:

Eve and those pron sites dont count!

Dev Zoom.

The reality of your current situation requires a different approach to the one being currently used. Currently we have community members which strive on pointing out the negatives toward the game. We have developers who are at best semi stagnant on a approach to make this game successful.

As such I will offer some suggestions. Mind you they are not answers, but suggestions.

1. While many of the veteran players like to be heard. Only use the ones that bring a positive light to your game.
2. I would recommend voluntary player moderators. To make sure players and others keep a  supportive tone when talking about the inner issues of the game.  Currently, the community is striving on negativity. They all can point out the bad but very few offer any solution.

3. This is your baby! Act like it! Be more active! If you need help, dont be afraid to ask the community for that help! While you can only do some things. You can appoint community members who are willing to help to do other things.

Syndic is not the greatest PR guy out of game. But he and CIR do wonders for noobies in game. I have personally seen it!

4. You need to promote the game more from its pluses. Number one on the list is the one time buy per account compared to competitors subscriptions. That is a huge PR bonus.

Also the advantages of playing on a world with a sandbox environment. Bots, customization, corps... All the things that make this game great!

5. Always keep new things coming. When was the last time some new bots came about? Scarabs? Hmmm.. What about some new combat bots, new industrial.. Even better new weapons(Example "Pulse Lasers"" Which fire repetitive bursts instead of a steady stream. ) Currently there are lots of open spaces so more content is not necessarily your best choice to work on. But rather work on the inner workings of what you got.

6. Keep your blog active!

7. Get a good PR person/firm who will represent the game best.

I also have some PR ideas for you. But will send them to you personally.

These are just some of the ideas and suggestions. Ill give more later. Have to go get my daughter from the airport!
