If you don't like to find tiny spots, you don't leave tiny spots behind.
If everyone would follow this guideline there shouldn't be any problem.

As for griefing... there are numerous and way more exciting ways of griefing than mining for hours to leave a spot behind... smile (but you always surprise me cool )

Who says its a miners code ...you?....what a rubbish answer to a real problem.

Wait, aren't you a 700k ep player? That probably explains why your not finding any challenging NPCs, it's alpha.

Where is Lupus's RvR when you really need it?

Prior to the patch, there where ZERO farmable NPC's on alpha; they were either missing or bugged. So in that since, this patch has improved alpha ratting 100%.

I will agree with you on alpha mats though, it's going to get very competitive to gather resources on the Alpha Islands. This is acutally by design, because if it did not get competitive, Beta/Gamma capable corps would simply sit on alpha and mine.

Now, I see you've posted in a couple other threads, so I'm off to see if your still QQ'ing or have any valid complaints/suggestions yet.

Is there anyone in your corp that actually reads a post then trolls or do you all just try and troll/discredit any point not your own?

Most players agree

The Dev's don't make changes by voting (they just ask Lupus), although I think your wrong, technically since I can actually internally poll a large number of players, and they don't agree.

This change actually makes alpha producers MORE competitive then before.

Those things you usually make, always did need beta materials.

But, heck, who wouldn't want to redistribute 700k of EP.

I've been wrong before on a few things, but I feel fairly confident that the devs are not going to allow full account resets everytime they release a patch.

They refunded extensions directly impacted in both Industrial and Mining extension trees.

I'll leave you to trying to make an actual arguement that isn't a veiled threat, and I'll even support it if it's reasonable.

Yes because the point behind my post was really "reset or I quit" or some other mindless large worded battle of wits as your making this out to be. If you truly don't see the current game pop as a problem, Market as a problem, and current mechanics for indy a problem then this post was lost on you from the start.
The fact that all most all mmo's I have played (that number is about 50 of them and anyone who claims to know me can tell you that) when doing a major class change overhaul. RESET all points in any talent/skill or point system.
why?
Because players make those skill choice's based on the current game mechanics not to wake up and find out what they geared the toon for just got *** on. It's not a matter of this is hard for "Me" as a player its a very simple no brainer about A game that has overhauled the "crafting" 4 times since release and a lot of the people in gen chat and seems not in your corp do share this point that enough and to much.

If you want to go on about this all day it will be on your own as I have things to do and don't care to debate with such a close minded person as yourself. GL and don't drive angry

Wait, what?

Economy problems were due to population issues and all islands having the same resources. The later is no long an issue. You can do as nordec says... Mine factional material on one island, haul it to another place that doesn't have it and demands it, profit.

As for spawns: I was farming 4th star mechs/heavy mechs all day on tellesis post patch at the ball and chain... If you think that spawn is crap I dont know what to tell you? There are others like it on other islands.

If you can't find a challenge on alpha you are not looking hard enough.

I'm sorry your engrish is bad and the phrase "Not talking about telle" didn't make it to you.....as for the main econ problem moving a resource from point A to point B to sell for profit solves the market problem how?..not to mention the issue with the market has little to do with low pop As I alone can build over 19 slot's and 50 a run ...Its the mats and the mats needed to build items that screwed the market. the game pop was just a added issue

Zigzagman2 - you must have a different verseion of Tellesis.

On sunday evening you have been complaining that there was not prismocitae availiable on Tellesis... at the same time there have been at least three harvester Agents in my squad harvesting Prismocitae.

Your telling that there are only crappy spawn now, while i find single-rank npc spawns everywhere. Farming 4th star mechs has never been easier on alpha since implementation of randomized spawns.

There are even industrial mechs now spawning on Tellesis.

putting words in my mouth wont help the issue and as for bigger spawns Im not talking about tele I went around with a buddy last night to 4 diff islands and found a bunch of crap nothing worth wasting ammo on. As for the prism I had to wonder Shin and dao for about 6 hours to find hardly enough to fill a sqeaker. I'm just one person and I wiped out what little was on shin ...pretty sure its grow back by now and maybe it will pick up that's not my biggest concern.

Most players agree that After the current changes and Massive revamps to mining and build we should all get one free reset. I have over 500k ep in building and mining for what? so I can roam for hours searching for the tiniest bit of mins on alpha. come to find out most of what I use to build now take's large amounts of Beta only mats? Didn't we ask a long time ago to have this changed ...and you did now you change it back?

They didn't just change a few things around on building they revamped all of it just about. weather in your extensions or in the game world it all got changed. Its not right to totally  revamp something like this and just say "sorry about your luck" you (dev's) don't have the player base to say tough luck. Time to start thinking about the players who pay for this. The market is screwed, Mining got screwed and so did most of the players who live on alpha or do indy. No new player in there right mind would stay much passed trial if they even make it that long. some of the new players I saw in the last few days even said as much in gen chat then just logged out with the "GL with this game econs dead no one's here" .

Resets may not help the end problem but it might keep a few more people playing that will more then likely go back to some other mmo....

This is a big issue Alpha is worthless now aside from some basic and i mean basic mins and some crappy spawns its dead....Do they expect everyone to move off alpha after a certain time and raid beta ...get real the MMO players in any sandbox dont like to be forced to do anything thats why we play sandbox style games to have a choice. It now seems the choice is gone.

The market is screwed and will keep going the way it is the more the devs mess with Resource's. They not only wiped what little was on the market off. But to boot changed what was needed to build almost EVERYTHING. On top of all that roaming resource nodes and the fact most of the bots bigger then assault now take Brio/Esp/Alligor ....to build a Termis?.....Prices will more then likely go down a bit but not much and market will most likely never recover from this as most have stopped mining.

rubbish

Quick summary once again:

1. It's a server software problem. Not OS, not hardware, not network, it's 100% our fault. Trust us on this one, this is why we're working on a fix.
2. The server cap is temporary and it fluctuates depending on how dodgy the server is. It will be removed once we fix the problem. The other options are to a) lift the cap and deliver the game unplayable for everyone or b) shut the whole thing down.
3. We plan to reimburse time lost (currently clocking at 3-4 days) due to the server cap. That includes both trial and subscribed.
4. We're doing our best to update you guys about what's going on, but at the same time, going "nope, not yet" every 5 minutes is also pretty pointless. There's usually a DEV or GM both in game or on IRC to update you on the ongoings.

So far we've put out a patch every day since Saturday, each with the hopes to fix the problem, and while we got closer to the end result, we failed to identify what the problem was. (That said, these fixes will remain in the server.) We currently have a pretty good idea on what the actual problem is, and we're really just looking for confirmation before shutting the server down to patch it out. Hopefully still today.

This is as embarrassing for us as it may seem, and I'm not sure being blindsided by the flock of users is even a good excuse, but that's all the power of hindsight. All we can do now is work as hard as we can to fix the whole thing as soon as possible.

Good stuff mate keep up the good work. Love the game and this will be fixed soon I'm sure.
To all the nah sayers piss off go back to eve if you don't like it they are working on it and they are people too they need sleep just as we do

STOP SCREWING WITH THE GAME. make changes like this and then revert then change then add a new BOT? that's not the answer we don't want more crap to re-train for. fix the issue stop adding more problems. I.E. make more options or make smaller changes. Fix accum issues with laser bots. Fix the "Stealth" don't add more bots to "Band-Aid" the issues.
I agree with the Lemon don't dumb the game down. Fix the issues we have not add more bots to basically add more issues. By reversing changes so far after you do them means many of us (not me really but many others) have spent EP on the new changes ...people are getting sick of "wasting" EP to specialize in bots or fits and then you go and change it again.....people are leaving in droves and not many new people are coming to the game and almost none are returning players .....I am here to tough it out but many people will not stick with it. If you continue to Take one corps/players opinion's and run with it you catering to them not the player base try making smaller changes to bigger issues.

   Bottom line
Keep making major changes then resetting them some time later is hurting game pop we can all see it.

Keep making changes that FORCE and not suggest pvp will kill the pop more

Keep making it more difficult for the Open Econ and it WILL kill the pop

When you have a game with less then 100 people (taking alts into account) online at any given time frame and you keep taking opinions from the random 3-4 people who rage about this or that and it WILL kill the pop

make smaller changes and stop resetting the major changes that you do bring in.

We have given a lot of though to the recent changes and realized that we offset the direction of the game and confused you guys a bit. Our intention was to give more room to some neglected modules and robots, but we overshot our goal a bit. We realize that even though something is not the most popular item at the moment, it may gain importance at any time with the ever changing strategies and relevant fittings.

We are going to revert the assault stealth changes and introduce a new assault class robot specialized for stealth. We will also be reverting the ECCM module changes and introduce multi purpose tactical modules.

Thank you for your helpful input in spotting this misdirection. We'd rather take a small step back, than carry the results of a bad call though the evolution of the game.
