I see, I still play EVE too, and looked for a second game too but after what you said I will consider it. I mean it would be bad if I cant even find ammo on market for example and while I played times were averages were quite low(before steam release) the people that did play were quite active

Hmm as far as I remember Perpetuum it never had many people, more in the 20 to 50+ people range depending on time, though usually the ones played were quite dedicated. I think most I seen was 62 accounts online and lowest like 6 months or so before steam was like 8-10 at all times but I thought over time it would get more people, especially being on steam too. Then again even games on steam do need some sort of promotion around too. On the bright side from what I see on news page there were updates fairly often

I havent visited Perpetuum in a long time. How is activity nowadays?

Agreed. Sandboxes got the characteristic that content is player made and all that needs to spark things up is some events every now and then to give more interest to the game

We are a growing corporation with a friendly and supportive group of people online almost constantly and we are accepting all member types and specializations, both new and older players. If your a miner, crafter, industrialist of any type, EW specialist, or damage specialist you are welcome to our corporation. We have the skills and knowledge to help you learn the game and for it to become enjoyable to you, and have a great time with others as well as we encourage teamwork. New Mecha wants you, so if your interested join our channel  W.M.M and a recruiter will get to you

Well in a sense, sparks in Perpetuum can be compared to jump clones in EVE which are used mostly to have on strategic stations. The real differences is skill there goes to lvl 5(aka less teleport locations) and world map of EVE is pretty much huge. Existence of sparks to my opinion is important as long as not too many locations are recorded. Its both an ease and a tactical feature, just if the game is to get more people sure more islands are needed. In other words the best solution is enlarge the world to be able to facilitate more active corporations in the near future making locking out of gameplay parts less possible

Ty for advice, was thinking if I should remain blue, how I found out to best to play is with actual repair tanking(got a good bonus on it), rather rangetanked so far at least(using Arbalest) as for the suggestions I made here, arent to complain or flame, but more for DEVs to know from a new players perspective. I think if they just worked these few things, missions, tutorial and story to apply in game, it will catch the eye of anyone taking a trial and would in turn give them more active players who sub, make it more active for the old players too, give pvpers too more people to PVP(PVE content gives the basics, the cash and the tools to pvp, so without pve, there isnt pvp)

Yes, what I notice, is the background story is there and devs can build up on it but its not executed ingame(doesnt seem to apply, since there isnt war among the 3). I did read everything, including tutorial, despite being long texts, but on char creation its not clear what advantages the robots got when picking something, in other words, picking kinda by luck one of the 3, cause none reads guides BEFORE first login on a game. The tutorial, doesnt get to explain the important things either, gives me a feel of being unfinished, so basically ended up needing to ask many things(for someone not coming from EVE could be lots more though). Was also told tha blue robots(which I chose) are junk by a couple pilots who started a blue. I dont know if they are right or wrong but Isnt it supposed to be balanced though for the existence of Three races(and not one) to matter?

I am a new player to Perpetuum, and I really like it so far, however would like to do a  couple suggestions. In my opinion to be even more attractive to new players with a few changes:
1. I think the number/variety of missions should increase, to be more rewarding and have some story background
2. Since the background story is there I think the 3 races should actively seem in war to support the story, like fight each other etc
3. Tutorial needs to be better and cover important aspects someone should know. Not all come from EVE, which means they need to know about everything from zero basis - be more new player friendly

A certain green bot mob seems to spawn always in a structure, tried to kill him to trigger a respawn, but cant get hit, took a bookmark(add waypoint) since I use the place for ratting/farming, so if you need the coords and name of mob will post them when I am at home

Well my english is very good, so probably will go for the english one

Sure but what is the website, by the way yesterday did join a channel by that name but was just me on it

EDIT: Found the website from ingame search function

So far. both in here and ingame, I dont see any response from any Corp, so my guess is, either Corps got limited members max and dont recruit newbies, or not anything existing in eu timezone needing new recruits

Thank you smile

Hmm, its not my post, I dont really agree with the guy here, since the game seems having a lot to offer, but as a totally new player who played EVE, Star Trek Online, WoW and many other games within the 10 years I am in online gaming, I think it needs to re - design the mission system into being more variable and rewarding, and sure seems higher size robots seems to be missing, but I guess its because the game is young

Other than that seems very cool, and got all the base to be great

I am only 3 days in the game but not in trial since today. Havent played the game before but it looks on some things similar to EVE(I am active player there too). I usually like to be in friendly guilds and my interests are for PVE combat(missions & farming) primary and of course PVP too(as long as I am not forced to do only that, liking to do many things). I am a european living in Greece(+2 GMT) and a mature player(30 years old) who works, so cant be around all the time.

Well time zone and other things are mentioned on my above post, as for pvp, you could say, I am 60-65% PVE and rest PVP(aka I like PVP as long as I am not forced to spend all my time on it, but I do like cooperative farming npcs sure too), so probably something combining PVE farming and PVP would suit me best, in an EU time zone(mine is GMT +2 as I said but I often stay up to my 2am if not tired or going out)

Well while I am combat PVE oriented, I do like PVP too(without being hardcore, aka not wanting it all the time, but do want it), plus to be honest PVE fuels PVP as well(you need cash so you dont mind losing robots sure). Generally I like Corps kinda lively and mostly friendly among members. To a note sure maturity lvl plays a role too, since I am a 30 year old man who works for living. Lastly my time zone is EU, I live in Greece, GMT +2 but I do tend to lots times stay late.

Got the recruitment channel tab ingame but so far none ever talked there, so guessing its not used

Thank you, I only got around 250k, so till I work on it a bit cant fit with ease higher than t1, will have to work on it first. Mostly due reactor capacity, could fit only 3 EMs(T1) out of 4 possible, 4th placed a t1 machinegun(needs 15 reactor instead 30).

By the way JUST made my account non trial, would you like to tell me a bit further on Corps(guilds in other words) in this game?:)

Thank you both, that was very useful info, noticed by the way that, on some gears got t2 followed by letter like t2p, on market list. On another matter, a trial can join Corps?

I see and thank you, well sure a guide on gears would be helpful on newcomers, since there arent much tips into fitting each robot. In my case for example, its easier since I play EVE too, but still not sure what matters most in cases you dont have enough cpu and reactor power to place the things you thought of. Examble on Yagel you would rather place plate + repair or universal hardener + repair? For now damage my robot gets is low but got a feel soon will get suddently more hard. As to missions, currently the ICS terminal offers me only lvl 0s, how can I know where to find lvl 1s for example?

Thank you both, seems I didnt make a bad choice on the race after all, since I like machinegun-style gunnery and high dps paired with speed. To another matter, crafts like harvesting, crafting, researching are worth it or best being fully focused on my combat and navigation skills?

To start with, I am of those that play EVE too(and will go on) but as a first look I do like Perpetuum a lot so thinking to sub and seriously play it. To start with, there are some things I would like to ask:
1. Pros and Cons of each of 3 races practically. Started Nuimqol, but not sure if its the one I like most
2. How I can see the DPS of my robot
3. Is there any detailed guide for equipment?
4. Combat mission running in Perpertuum, what would you advise a newcomer(bought a Light Merc)
5. If I made a mistake on the race I want to use and want to recreate my char, I lose the starter bonus points on account?
6. Nuimqol guns, do I have to place all guns same type and ammo best like EVE?(and can we group them) if anyone could give me some fitting tips
7. Corps, can a trial join and apart from the obvious advantage of making friends within corps easier, what else does a corp offers
Lastly since it looks a promising game, would like to ask if anything is planned soon on major updates and if the game in general continues to expand in content. Apart from that, would like to say, that I havent yet bothered with "crafts" and gathering, except for a bit mining through tutorial. Any tips you could give for a new player would be welcome, thanks in advance
