Or why not use the energy cells we already have in game that were used to open the Gamma gates to charge the SAP

I would hope that in the really "long view" of the game there will be more minerals like colix on gamma, delta, omega islands ... in the long run that would be good it will make the current alpha minerals more balanced because they will not constitute 90% of the needed minerals required to build mechs and mods.
^^ time will prove this case^^
but for now I do not see any problem with the current state of mineral fields. the more people that play this game the better and mineral availability is key to the success of new players in small corporations. Too many large scale mining corporations like AIC and the world will be bare of minerals in days with out instant respawns .

This beta *** has been done over and over and beaten to death for years .. one minute you care about it and the next you don't. But hey were glad you guys are having a blast with 3 year old content ... must be thrilling

I agree the speciman needs to be fixed ...
Currently having it either 3 or 4 makes no sense + add in random items even less sense.
I would be all for changing the Speciman to a single 300U or 600U item (epri based craft-able or 5 mill on npc market) ... this should come with 30 minute sap windows, if you do not need to make several trips for the speciman then 1 hour window is not needed.
Because the sap could be finished in seconds you would need to balance the fast completion with some type of risk which means needing a Lithus or even Scarab to carry the item.

Well even on the Spec 4 items sap / 5 min flag per item you could still solo it in one hour if you try.

Dev's Because attacking a sap is a hostile action just like many others please add it as a PvP flag-able event.
The way the mechanic should work:
Spec ~ If you deposit items you should flag
Active ~ if you are hacking you should flag
Passive ~ If your sitting on it and your counter is increasing you should flag
Destro ~ if you do damage to the sap you should flag
This (attack) is an assault on an outpost so it should be considered as such.
Their is no use for Armored teleports anymore ... they were designed to be used when under fire as an escape beacon that could withstand a light assault.

It doesn't really matter when its takes your enemy 30+ minutes to form any type of response .
I have seen orange spawns on the following beta islands as recently as last night.
Dom
Hokko
Hoop
Nova
Alsbale
Kent
Can I get an admin bot to fly around the server and ill give you all of the x,y,z coords for the orange npc locations, other wise I dont have the time to gather this info. Other than to say that these islands contain the orange NPC's in question the problem persists.

Its not like ICE .. its an alternative for people to get the same items through the PC store (excluding boosting & downgrades) but not needing to pay cash for them ... they pay for these items in game by grinding missions or what have you to get the alternative currency which i suggested to be tokens because they are already in game and being used for just about nothing.
There is no need for people to further "Print NIC" I understand people have tons of money they want to throw at this game (maybe maybe not because 1/2 the people only came back because its free) but the economy needs to be closely watched.

Instead of giving new players the boost why not just give then 3000 to 5000 Perp Creds with Purchace on Steam this way they feel they are getting a huge bonus when they join .. also because PC cant be traded it wont be abused ... too much
+ 1000 PC for every friend you bring that buys the game ... Steam is your chance to go balls deep DEVs you need to make people want to play and bribes work well for a while at least ..
should give you guys enough time to add more content ..hopefully

why would we want to take stuff out of the game that adds a greater dynamic to it?
All the other mobile teleports can be destroyed in one or 2 volleys from any decent mech.
I think the real question is should we have mobile teleports at all because thy are more than "get out of jail free cards"
If the mission revamp is not released very shortly after 4/2 & steam then I'm sure many people who come for the free beer with just go away again due to the lack of content.
There are many "free 2 play" games on the market that you dont need to shell out $30 bucks for, and most of them have much more content that perp does. I am seeing a lot of old faces coming back but I think even the game being free to play will not keep them playing because its more of a " I got better things to do with my time Issue" than anything else.

and FFS remove " AREA-BASED!!!" geo scan charges
I think a demo / Trial / test drive of some kind is a must have for any game ... even if its only limited to something like 3 days ... the game should still have some free test for perspective players.
