Topic: Dynamic Ore Spawns

A solution to ore spawns permanently located under mob spawns.

Since its too inefficient to farm those spawns while mining, which could take many hours and require a large group...

Why not make ore spawns just relocate every X days since its last respawn.

But this is something that does need a revisit & mechanic change. For one thing, having Orange NPCs on Beta islands  is the most Dumb A22 things iv seen.

You need to step on Beta then, there are Orange Spawns EVERYWHERE.

the thing i would really love to see -
1. all current beta missions that require a static npc spawn to be deactivated until beeing replaced
2. roaming NPCs pathfinding algorithm beeing completed with FlowField mechanics for smoother pathfinding while less heavy on the serverload with more npcs, and especially with different.
3. more roaming npcs added that imitated NPC faction activities like patroling, hunting, etc. Flash games can do that, then a online mmo should be able to have that too.

everyone will be happy... except the miner that have to move once in a while when a roam passes by (but faster due to improved pathfinding)

Yeah what Ville said lol. Coz you cant go anywhere on a beta island & not see them. well on Dom & Hokk. haven't checked the rest.

I have seen orange spawns on the following beta islands as recently as last night.

Dom
Hokko
Hoop

Nova
Alsbale
Kent

Can I get an admin bot to fly around the server and ill give you all of the x,y,z coords for the orange npc locations, other wise I dont have the time to gather this info. Other than to say that these islands contain the orange NPC's in question the problem persists.

Ok, I wasn't aware that there were so many. We'll try to do some database queries then if possible.

Tbh I think that's how it should be with current NPC mechanics.

I thought orange NPC's on beta were kinda tactical so people who pvp would chose to walk by, or shoot them if being zerged hoping they change targets and kill their agressors.

And yes there are a lot of them.
