besides you can easy say just empoly more ppl. do you know how little the income is this game provides atm. maybe the server costs will be payed with this. but surely you can not supply even a single computer scientist with this. they do this mostly in their free time. with a small team.
you only see your point of view. you want your fun. thats ok. but i dont think you will have what you want in the next three months. this is totaly a speculation but you can count yourself lucky if it happens in half a year to a year. probably later than sooner.
Yes I can - get more people - 1, 2, 3 as many as you can. Get more investors. It's called taking initiative! Try, again and again and again. If they belive that they can make a good product, if they can present a healthy vision of this game there will be someone.
Fire the ones that are not doing good work. Get another one in. You have a post from one dev how he got into this game. I'm sure there are more that would get in.
Do you know how big the income for this game will be when even hardcores say it's enough? Do you think it will be enough even for server cost?
Do you think devs had a good approach with eve vets surge? They made best of it?
Did I make their blogs, did I promise all sort of stuff?
Devs are not holy cows. If they do not deliver what they say, if they stick their head in sand I have every right to say what I think about them and their work. I am still paying for this game. For how long it is for me to decide. I know one thing - I'm not writing this in hope that this game will fail. I hope it will work out, but hey - its not all milk and honey in the land of Nia and I don't care if some random guy/dev/we has his feelings hurt - it is like it is.

but if you play a little here and a little there then you can have your fun, and support a game that is not mainstream and most likely will one day be a good game.
People are supporting this game for a year mostly based on potential. "It's not mainsteam" doesn't mean anything, but the other part of that sentence is important. More and more people are starting to lose faith in devs and their ability to actually make this (as you say) beta product a good game. Considering how long it takes devs to implement stuff, how they tend to take sideroads all the time (read dev blogs what and when whas promised) and lets face it - terrible (worst ever in my experience) PR, it is not surprising that people are saying bb.
Potential can't last forever - time to grow up is near. If devs can't deliver major stuff that they promised they should employ new people, be honest about it and talk to their player base or people are gonna start to think that they are being sucked for their $$$ on "it has potential to be a good game someday" so that somebody can play skyrim or fap on porn while there's some money dropping in.

I'm especially impressed by the smoothness of the transition from walking to running! I didn't notice the switch at first and had to do some rewinding to actually spot it.
Yes. Since I started drinking beer many Winters ago, I was impressed by fluid(s) movement and here we have a fine example! GJ devs

I sang for Wiener Sängerknaben ( http://www.wsk.at/jart/prj3/wsk_website/main.jart ) for a few years (look me up in hall of fame!) so if you need me I'll be there!

whats so hard about using TS or vent ?
Ye, in game vc would be just another take on limited dev resources (=time to implement some new content)

Re: Beacon drop rate is too low? (100 replies, posted in General discussion)
I'm not going to nit pik your analogy, because you probably made it up as you typed it. But even in that short analogy, you asked them what they wanted and then thought about what to do with that information, you didn't sit down and discuss the recipes, plate styles, new tax laws, and how your lazy brother-in-law can't clean dishes correctly.
Yeah...thought it would be too much to go all on details. I think I got the picture right in the simplest way. We are telling devs what we want to eat, we are hungry, they have best paprika in Hungary and it's about time to use it some more
(btw - brother-in-law got both of his knees broken in a strange kitchen accident...I find him more usefull now working some stuff out in basement )

Now, I don't have a huge ego, but when my co workers start telling me how to configure our network because they were able to get thier new D-Link wireless router working at home, I just nod and smile. 99.9 % of the help is well meaning but without a complete picture of the entire process, meaningless. That .1% are those people that actually have professional experience and can truely help.
I have a restaurant. It's going pretty good. But then people stopped coming. Had about 80% drop in customers since I opened. Why I wondered... Tried some new spices on, the restaurant 150m away from mine closed and voila - i got a nice 300% more customers. Ahhh...good times!
After 3-4 weeks buisness started to slow down again. I talked to some of the guys that were eating my food. Few of them said the food is great. Few of them said food is ok but it needs more spice - salt, pepper, hell even some chilli! But alot of them said it's getting boring, since I have just 4 meals on my menu. They wanted something more, more daring - they just wanted something new!
What did I do? Left things unchanged? Added some more spice to please a few more ppl? Or maybe constructed 4-5 new meals with my chef?
(warning - all characters in this are fictional! or are they!?!?! )

Again, I don't know where you get your information, but that's not true either.
As for the rest, we could argue for hours what "content" is and what drives the game further, but I don't think we would ever agree, and it would be wholly offtopic too.
You (well - devs) act like you have ADD. You talk about this and that, and then you come out with a third thing and then you spend your time tweaking that thing and so on...
You should start focusing on some major things. Fine tune and polish is good, but as your sub number tells you more then we can - ppl want some ZOMGWTF AMAZING stuff
We can go your way and say - well beacons ARE ZOMGWTF AMAZING stuff. Yes, they are for some ig players. But try to think about ZOMGWTF AMAZING like this - is it something that we can really brag about, is it something that will make us new subs, is it something well, something that most of community is waiting for so long, like pos, terraforming and so on...
Listen to your players. I'm from CIR, I don't want to kill perp, I am trying to give you advice and help you get more people in, if anything then because it makes me enjoy the game more. We can argue for hours about content. We can also look at devs blogs and what were the devs talking about many many months ago. We can also look at some forum threads and see what players want. Don't look at tags, listen to your playerbase
