Yes Mauro, French Navy withdrew from the tournament. Thank you for reminding us. lol

Nobody cares Pokk... When you come back whenever some "miracle" patch happens that you believe will let you win by logging off and playing on Alpha alts, we'll be right here waiting. And week by week, our stockpile will only increase now that we're actually at full war production again. smile

you seem to forget... prior to intrusion 2.0... squid didn't just survive the constant onslaught.. it grew and prospered.
It took 1 station from the bloc and even better it successfully defended it...
This was handled mainly through only having to suffer a weekly intrusion, this was manageable through ppl either taking the occassional holiday or simply carrying on through their day with lack of sleep. This is something not workable with the new intrusion2.0. Instead of weekly intrusions its now 24/7 twice daily intrusions...
Despite plea's from the concerned players prior to implementation... this was pushed through.
Don't get me wrong i applaud the work done by the dev's and it will encourage pvp... however the results will be far reaching... and the amount of ppl on beta's will drop rather than increase... as it is now far far harder for a corp let alone an alliance to inhabit an outpost. The only exception to this is prolly sovnov who had the neccessary resources in place and the manpower to make an attempt at holding outposts.
Mighty though sovnov is... don't pat yourself on the back too hard... what u did not or could not achieve.. the new intrusion system has done it for you.

and as for the 'weekenders' those that can't play during the working week but put insane hrs in at the weekend.. well its their deathknell... no matter how much effort they supply at the weekend... its now pointless.

thats my point... the new intrusion structure will force more roam style gameplay... but hinders actively living in beta.
Can see alot of corps moving lots of assets out of beta purely because of the risk of losing outposts.

Most corps/alliances in this game are nationality/language/timezone based... hence they have unified timezone they operate in... not being able to set an 8hr safety 'blanket' in a given 24hr period to suit the deadtime of an alliance/corp timeframe this equates to vulnerability...
This means less ppl on beta... this means less industry.

Summery: The chances of new/old corps taking outposts has greatly increased... but the ability to hold an outpost has dropped...
Result: The loudest sound on beta won't be the roar of mechs moving... it will be crickets chirping.

i suspect the new intrusion system will force a major change in life on beta's.. where before corps/alliances fought for survival... it will now force these people to actively defend or leave beta's... the demand for actively assembling defence forces 3-4 times a day inall probability outside their normal gaming hours to defend a sap for a yet still a pointless outpost... will be too high given the very low population of beta inhabitants.

Beta's will effectively become a roaming culture only.

time to cry

though a brit... gotta side with the aussie guys about timeframe of tournament.

1: the tournament for them ends tuesday.. with work would prolly see them withdraw from tournament at final stages. sad
2: The tournament itself favours the rich/old corps.. in the sense that their rare or pimped out bots/mods will be insta replaced from corp stock... the newer less developed corps will have a much harder time replacing these bots/mods within the single timeframe of a long weekend.

Possible solution of these 2 points would be the tournament being held over the course of 2 weekends.. even possibly saturdays only.

just my 2 pennies worth of opinion.

indeed if u want good T4 loot.. Squid have found u simply take them from CIR cool

but armless smile

missioning in broken after lvl1.
lvl2's offer little or no reward and there's talk of a bonus reward if completed quicker which is failscale... most of the lvl2's require 5mins of travelling to the mission then another 5mins returning.... lvl3's are somewhat of a slight improvement but not near enough to force u to grind through the lvl2's.
grinding is far more of a profitable enterprise... please don't turn this into korean grind game sad
assign some dev time and revitalise missioning.. the bulk of the missioners are combat orientated but are driven from the game by subpar gaming experience in missioning.
I know the rewards can be increased with certain skills but most new combateers will pump the bulk of their EP into combat related skills but until its improved no one will pump the rewards skills cept the transporteers as its a mighty waste of EP.
The item market as a whole is grind based hence why they cost so much and sell for so little.. builders in small corps  cannot compete unless they exceed T1 this futher discourages player retention.
Fixes: some form of revamp for rewards is needed... travel time multiplyer maybe will help.. increase the basic reward for solo missioneers.. completion time bonus from the moment combat/recon/mining starts not from the moment u accept the mission. Also maybe for miners a bonus for exceeding the amount of mined ore needed. I also liked the idea previously suggested of the high ranked missions being team based.
Also a difficulty ranking system for missions could to be implemented for again further rewards.
Ewar missions are needed..
There are 3 general types of players in this game.... ewar/combat and miners... of the 3 only the transporteers of the missioneers progress past lvl1 missions and thats only because they are being forced to.
Summery: fix misisons and fast.. (though this comment is mainly about combat missions i've tried to keep it as general as i could...) if u don't u will continue to bleed players. If u do then u will a resirgence of msissioning and a far greater player retention.
In the end its about the NIC and missioning fails to deliver
