I think Perpetuum could use some more reviews, good or bad. So here's my attempt to do something about this. Review this game to get a chance to win some credits, used for stuff such as character/corp name changes, accelerated extensions training and extensions downgrade.

I see you released a new patch yesterday. 2 positive things I noticed so far:

1.

When you complete assignments at field terminals, the "Private storage" and "Assignments" buttons will get cut off. The more assignments you complete, the more gets cut off. http://i.imgur.com/uTKyGq5.jpg

Doesn't happen to me anymore.

2. I now get new category boxes instantly after delivering items, without having to close and re-open the assignment window first.

Seems like it's only happening in borderless window mode. Works fine in fullscreen and window mode. Tried each one about 10 times.

Moving on to mining assignments.

The "in progress" category box for mining assignments doesn't appear on the assignments window.

So I did some more testing and this bug still persists, but I'm closer finding the cause.
I'm pretty sure it's caused by running multiple harvesters at once.

- Running all three harvesters at once, activated with spacebar: 14 of 20 attempts were successful
- Running only one harvester at the same time: 20 of 20 attempts were successful

I wanted to do more tests by activating the harvesters one after another few seconds apart, but there seems to be something wrong with the test server. When I try to deposit items from my cargo into the field terminal private storage, it gives me the following error: error_SQLDeleteError http://i.imgur.com/ppW4NIB.jpg
Relogging didn't help.

EDIT: error_SQLDeleteError is now gone. Depositing items works again.

Did you have multiple harvesting missions running at the same time (perhaps via your squad)? Because in that case it can happen that it will choose which objectives to count for a bit randomly. But in the end the sum of all harvesting objectives and the amount you need to harvest for all of them should be equal.

edit: nevermind, I misunderstood. It's not about the delivery objective but the harvesting one. We'll check.

Actually it works now, after I left the squad. Tried 3 missions in a row now without any problems. There were no other assignments active however and none of the squad members were online.

Objective A requires you to harvest 9000 Helioptris. Harvesting 9k units will trigger the notification, but the objective will still be marked as incomplete(stuck at 7924/9000). It's possible to deliver the items, but assignment will not complete as objective A is not finished.

* Lock status icons on the landmarks window are overlapped by objective icons. Can't tell anymore if target is locked or not. Here's a comparison: http://i.imgur.com/Y69F2A7.png

* Transport mission objectives are all displayed at once. Wasn't like that when I last tested them. http://i.imgur.com/14YZIxu.png

+1 for Jitas suggestion. It should be encouraged to run all field terminals, not just the ones with best terrain or closest objective locations.

Structure objective markers sometimes don't appear, rendering the assignment practically uncompletable.

So I did some extensive testing regarding this issue. Seems like only a few field terminals are affected by this. The objective not appearing is most likely set to an "objective structure" which has not spawned for some reason or wrongly named.

e.g. :"Objective B is tied to "Dispenser58604". Dispenser58604 was for some reason not spawned or has wrong name hence not appearing on the map."


Here's some data I gathered by requesting the same mission 10 times from different field terminals:

Success rate for getting a working mission in % (out of 10 samples):

The game will crash when you confirm assignment abortion while the assignment window is closed.

To reproduce:
1. Request an assignment
2. Click "Abort"
3. Close the "Assignment Info" window
4. Click "Yes" on the "Confirmation" window

EDIT: Also happens on the live server.

- Not sure if intended, but field terminals have no collision
- I've done combat missions up to level 3. Like every bot spawning has gazillion demobs, neuts, ECM. Feel free to add normal combat mechs, not just ECM stuff.
- I agree with Inda. Trigger distance of NPCs spawning should be a little higher.

I like it. There are issues such as long queues and 2-3 DCs per day and some lag every now and then, but which game didn't have issues on launch.

I've been in jail already for chopping down someone else's trees and did my first intercontinental trade run yesterday. It's been a while since my heart raced so hard and it's been in Darkfall years ago. Risk/reward seems to work here.

The criminal system is fun. Whenever you commit crime (murdering/stealing/uprooting), you leave bloodstain or footsteps behind. Other players can then interact with these and report you. Once you get over 50 crime points, your next pvp death will send you to jail. There you can select to either go to trial or directly to jail and serve full sentence.
During your trial, a jury is summoned which consists of 4 players and they decide your faith.

The game was boring as *** until the mid 20s as you just grind *** generic quests, but once you get into pvp area or go out to sea, it's completely different game.
