Topic: Dev tracker

As the forums get more crowded (and i really cant be bothered to go through all topics tongue) it would be nice to have a dev tracker on the forums.

Re: Dev tracker

What exactly is a "dev tracker"?

Re: Dev tracker

A link somewhere on the forum that would automatically search for all DEV posts.

That's all the Dev tracking you will need, hopefully.

Zoom - it's a page that lists all the forum threads that Devs have posted in, players use it to keep track of "official" info.

It allows us to see via Google maps where every dev is so that we can check to see you're working on the game.

Re: Dev tracker

Click search, enter dev* into author's username, and select "Display results: As posts" at the bottom.

Re: Dev tracker

http://forums.perpetuum-online.com/search/560430193/ <-- that's the one - The earlier link lists DEV threads (threads where they have posted), this one lists all their posts.

Re: Dev tracker

Rayna: your links will only work for your session, not for others.

Re: Dev tracker

http://rift-tracker.com/en/ i meant a tracker like that, it pretty much is a list of posts (sometimes with rss feed) of devs on the forums that is easily visisble by anyone whitout searching every dev's posts

Re: Dev tracker

A dev tracker would be great. Searching each individual dev out is not really the same thing.

Re: Dev tracker

I vote for a dev tracker as well. It's usually set up on an external website by some helpful community member. Really nice to have.

Re: Dev tracker

What's needed imo with the recent influx of players and, therefore, Dev responses to player concerns in forum threads, is a Dev Tracker area of the forums where everyone can easily see every Dev reply that is made throughout the threads.

This way no critical info is missed.

This is my blob. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Re: Dev tracker

I think the devs are shy and dont like attention.

They'de rather answer a question 5 times in seperate theads that make one comment that everyone can read.

Its early days, they will eventually join the darkside.

Re: Dev tracker

Sorry but I think it's a great thing that Devs are taking their time and actually reading the individual threads. The latest blog also clearly shows that they are listening to the playerbase.

I don't know how you can see this as anything but positive but to each their own. And this thread is about a Dev tracker, which I thought is something you would welcome, since we get the best of both worlds. Close contact and a central resource for all their comments smile

Re: Dev tracker

In the meantime or as an alternative, you can just monitor/list their individual posts.

Not very user friendly way to look for dev posts tho.

Re: Dev tracker

Yeah ok fair enough, but it's still a pain in the butt to use search feature. Just make a page that automatically displays the search results of posts from all Devs. Plx?

Just be happy you have a working search feature. eveonline forums didn't. well... we have a search feature, but it was ***. a player had to host his own search website that cached everything from the original forum.
