lol so the early start players wanting to go FOTM get fresh 90k ep to play with... nice jawb. final nail in the coffin

What FOTM? We are exactly one month in and the flavor of the month seems to be vanilla. And since this will be the only month that the early start players will have this option, it's a non-issue.

Please go check your other thread.

I will PayPal you the money if you reset GI Joe and make a different avatar. Oh, and you need to name the new char GI Jowned.

I'm barely able to type, laughing about all the Industrial characters that will lose all of their Research Knowledge for taking the reset option, or the solo players, who will lose all of their items/NIC.

Beautiful.

Oh, almost forgot. What about the 2880 EP penalty for deleting characters? Will that carry over if the account goes into negative EP?

If they are going to do it, they need to pull the trigger. Some accounts are in their 34th day as of today, leaving 11 days left before this is no longer an option.

However, I am going to disagree on another issue you bring up regarding the Kernals. Quite Simply, the reason low lvl Kernals are worth so much in relation to higher is because so many more ppl need them to make the gear that is relevant to what people are using RIGHT NOW. Its just a demand issue. As people get higher in production skills and robot skills, demand for low lvl kernals will diminish and demand for high lvl kernals will increase. As the demand rises, so will the prices.

Incorrect. The reason low lvl kernels are worth so much more in relation to higher is because of the price set by the NPC buy orders. Farming low level kernels will never stop being the fastest way to make NIC because there will always be NPC buy orders for them. Player buy orders are usually lower than the NPC buy order. Even if a player really wants kernels and is willing to pay a premium price, they will not be able to give away their NIC forever. NPC's do not have that problem.

I'm quite confident that there are players right now with hundreds of millions of NIC, simply because they have been farming kernels and making 4-5 million NIC per hour, since launch. This needs to be fixed now, or the economy will be destroyed before we are 6 months along.

I was hit with the Drone kernel bug that was fixed in a prior patch. I had researched over 300 various Drone, 1st star, Rookie and Servant kernels with no effect. After the patch, I was not granted any retroactive research and had to research more kernels to see any gains.

I don't think you will see either retroactive research results or get a kernel reimbursement.

I'm shocked and appalled that you are still so butthurt over getting rejected by M2S that you would bump a thread with no activity for 10 days, just to post a weak-ass troll attempt. Strike that, I'm neither shocked nor appalled.

At this rate, corp leaders are going to start wanting screen-shots of applicant's character selection screen.  Ugh.  Let the absolute paranoia begin.

ECorp already does want the screenshot. I'm glad they accepted my alt accounts with no troubles.

While I agree that something needs to be done about this issue, the fact that this thread was started by an AXE member makes me chuckle softly to myself, while I slowly shake my head and take another sip of coffee.

Before you read any further, please understand that I know how Research Kernels are supposed to work and it's not that my Research is maxed out for a particular tier.

My Industrial character currently gets this message "You've already gained all knowledge of this item. Try a different type!" when trying to research the basic Drone kernels. The problem is that my research progress for the Standard light autocannon is frozen at 62.00% and the Standard firearm tuning is frozen at 84.00%.

The issue is not just with the basic Drone kernels. I researched twenty-five 1st Star kernels and the results window showed that the research progress for Small compositecore slug was at 68.00%. A few hours later, I researched 73 more 1st Star kernels and the results window showed that the research progress for Small compositecore slug was still 68.00%. I tried 25 Rookie kernels and the results window was blank. Meanwhile the research progress for small multi-spectral energy cell is frozen at 80.00%. Servant kernels? I researched close to 50 of them with no change at all to the research progress of Small sonic ballistic missile is stuck at 31.00%.

I'm afraid to say that I have no idea what could have caused this situation. I hope that this could get looked at in case there are any other characters out there which are stuck in a similar state. Because right now this character is useless to me as a production alt, and unfortunately not worthless because I've already spent a considerable amount of EP on it.

FTFY, hth.

The latest patch has made this situation much better. I'm going to hold off and say it has fixed my issue until I play a bit more.

Weep in greater quantities, new players.

Helen Waite is the person in charge of giving extra EP for situations like this. If you want to receive the same amount of EP that the Early Access players have, you should go to Helen Waite.

Okay I've read this thread from start to finish, and the question I would ask you.

Is what dis-advantage are you at 'if' the new player does get a full respec of all EP, and goes a FOTM build.

It isn't going to impact you personally, for them to enjoy their experience in the game, and for their money to continue to go to AC, so they can keep developing new and exciting things for us to do.

So on that note, thats just my opinion.. And you can take it for what its worth.

The obvious disadvantage is that by the time they could implement a full respec for characters less than a week old, my characters and many others will already be out of their first week. Even though many of us may have made poor or uniformed choices during our first week with the game, we would be stuck with EP placed in Extensions that we would not have picked if we had known better.

Using a system that would allow for modification of individual skills would allow people to correct mis-clicks or poor choices with an equal opportunity, regardless of the length of time a character has existed.

It would affect me personally because I would not be the one offered an option or opportunity that was given to someone else. Perhaps then I would be the the one not enjoying the game experience.

Instead of a full respec that would give all EP back in one large chunk, how about a respec system based that allowed individual skills to be untrained?

Proposal:

Let's say you thought that the Basic Kinematics skill was the best skill in the game, and you raised it to Level 10, at a cost of roughly 24,500 EP. When you realized that it wasn't as useful as you thought, you would be able to untrain levels with a high cost/penalty. The cost would be 1 million NIC per current Skill Level to go down 1 Level. The penalty would be that you would only get refunded 25% of the EP that was spent on that level.

To go from Level 10 to Level 9 in our example, it would be 10 million NIC and refund 2800 EP, out of a initial cost of 11,200 to go from 9 to 10. Total cost to go from Level 10 to Level 3 (default start for a full military character) would be 49 million NIC. The total EP that you would get back from this would be 5,964.

This would allow someone to recoup some EP from a misclick or poor skill choice, but would not be a real option to completely respec and try to follow a FOTM build.

Whenever I open the Agent Profile window, my client will freeze for 3 to 5 seconds. During this time, my CPU usage will spike to 85% on both cores of a dual-core CPU. After this initial client freeze, the process will repeat itself every 15 to 20 seconds. If I leave the Agent Profile window open, the CPU will eventually overheat, resulting in a critical system failure/reboot.

Relevant info:

- This issue presents itself both in Terminal and out on Terrain.
- This issue presents itself in all Terminals.
- I have over 2000 entries in my Relations History.
- I have over 400 entries in my Transactions History.
- This issue does not present itself on my other account, which has 0 Relations History and 25 Transactions
- Many items on several windows will randomly re-order themselves when the client is not frozen. For example, Assignment listings, Relation History entries with same timestamp,  Corporation names with same Relation value in Relations tab.

If anyone else is having a similar issue, please post here. If a Dev could look into this it would be great, because it's near impossible to do anything Agent Profile related.

There are already too many safe areas on Beta Islands. Remove the protection zone from around Teleport Stations, tia.

These tears, they taste amazing. I would hope that the rollback didn't affect your ability to scan and mine for QQ, because you're displaying an incredible amount of QQ in this thread alone.

One could almost surmise that there is enough QQ in this thread for 7 mechs.
